Watched Mascots and The Departed last night. Mascots had a couple good parts but probably isn't worth watching.
The Departed is fucking fantastic though. Not Scorsese's best but there are some really great shots, and the way the different plot threads come together is masterful and creates a ton of tension. Nicholson is fucking fantastic as well.
Also I'm not even a Stones fan, but I think Gimme Shelter is possibly the closest thing to a perfect song we'll ever get. That opening guitar part gives me chills..

Alright. How the fuck did you think Deepwater Horizon was good? The buildup was nice and slow, sure, but once the whole explosion shit started it was nothing but fire and loud music all around.

What bothered me the most about it though, was when they were rescued and reunited with their families, it was supposed to be a raw emotional event but EVEN then they had to blast loud sad music instead of just showing the emotions of crying people.
