Enjoying SOTD or TWE is not something I actively participate in, but it is at least concievable. It didn't have enough influence on modern cinema. I don't think Scott Pilgrim is flawless, it's not my favorite Edgar Wright movie. But it's his most "kinetic" if that makes sense. I wish modern film makers would play with the form like that instead of just re-using the cinematography and editing techniques that were popularized in the 70s like they usually do. This wouldn't just benefit blockbusters and capeshit, "subjective" film making (for the lack of a better term) can elevate smaller projects to the level of how inner most ideas, moods and themes are expressed in literature, but trough an auditory/visual medium. And I thing the way Wright does this is more in tune with the modern era than just going back and aping Bergman or whatever.
