I know in the united states, tipping is used to keep the cost of food low. Restaurant owners get away with paying less than minimum wage to waiters/waitresses and can thus charge less for their food. It is then the waiter/waitresses job to create a dining experience that is wonderful and thus deserves a tip.

It's the place itself. The owners pays a rent, payed the whole interior and pays to clean it everyday.
But as a customer that's not my problem. I pay for the coffee. Al the other stuf (sugar, a spoon, sitting at the table, etc... ) is included.
That's why the coffee is like 10x more expensive than when i make it at home.

Yeah I stopped enjoying pizza delivery from home when I realized I would have to add nearly 20% to every pizza if I wanted at least halfway on time before it got cold.
