Did anybody like this? I mean, I love Ryan Gosling he's a good actor but they should have left Blade Runner alone

I thought it was top banana

I liked it.

The biggest down side was the director and ambiance, but I think it still sounds true.

Awesome movie! Visuals are great!!

I thought it was better than Blade Runner. I was thinking maybe people like it better than 2045 because they grew up on it as opposed to me who saw them a day after the other.

It's certainly pretty and visually stunning. But the story was really hollow. And pretty boring to follow.

>But the story was really hollow. And pretty boring to follow.

I thought that of the first movie.

Ya I think it's the exact opposite.

They were killing everybody else so why didnt they kill gosslings character when they had multiple chances especially in that scene in vegas when they took harrison?

OP here, that's exactly how I felt about it. And I bought it full price on blu-ray thinking I would really enjoy it after watching the first one all these years. Kinda feel like I wasted my money.

People were too focused on a story. I think the beauty of the movie is the ambiance. It's the environment. The cities and the landscapes were fucking incredible.

Same director for another remake of Dune. Can't fucking wait (like 2 years)

>buying movies

This.

I know I know :( I was bored and had a bit of extra money. Ya know.

I watched it, it was 6/10.
Better than watching a wall if you have to pass time lmao

Sure, people can say that about movies but in a game like Destiny then people freak out about lack of story. haha

Don't get me wrong. I loved following the main character and the relationship he had with his AI girl.

Well thanks for your input guys I really appreciate it. Cred Forums is always my go-to spot for movie reviews. Cause I usually get straight up answers.

It was basically 'Her' with a couple explosions thrown in.

C O M F Y movie

have to watch the original again, but I liked it

needed more nudity

I actually loved it. It's a great example of a "slow burn" movie done right. I thought that the fashion, visuals, and audio/music were all well done. Gosling is one of my favorite actors. I'm actually looking forward to seeing it again when I get the chance. I'm curious why OP or anyone else wouldn't like it.

I fucking loved it. Kept the same feeling throughout that Blade Runner did, Han Solo's return wasn't contrived, good basis for the drama in it as well

They did kill him off. At the end

It was better than the original IMO. Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time now.

are you fucking dense mate? it was one of the best movies of the year. How does it feel to be under 13 years old you fucking trogo

OH FUCK YEAH! I WOULD JIZZ IN THE THEATER.

...

Did not need the voice over about dying for the right cause towards the end just before he shoots down the craft taking Harrison away

I'm 23 though and I watch ALOT of movies, I own every single James Bond movie on Blu-ray, I love older and newer movies. Idk why I didn't like this one. Maybe i'll give it another go in a couple weeks when I have a few days off work. I really liked the original though, seen it multiple times.

I was thinking of renting this on Redbox, is it worth it? Loved the original.

It’s complete shit. Nothing but people walking down dimly lit hallways with their shoes lighted.
agreewithOP/10

WTF? I just rewatched it again last night. First time in the theatre. First time, meh. Second viewing, it really grew on me. Possibly better than the first.

I found myself rewinding all the scenes with Luv. She really stole the move. That scene where she kills the Lt. wow.

Second time much better. Wait a year or so, third.

>Possibly better than the first
I mean, better than the first movie.

It was great. Except for the twist, fuck that bubble baby bitch.

Proof the hollywood has their midgets stalking Cred Forums.

I thought it was very impressive. Visually incredible, some solid writing and themes throughout it. Nice balance of meaningful action sequences and narrative. The climax blew me the fuck away.
Some of the acting was stale. The story was completely uninteresting. It's really the look and feel of it that really conveys the soul of the movie rather than the events unfolding.

Oh, I also forgot the soundtrack. The soundtrack is unbelievably good.

ITT: fags who didn't watch the first one and complain about the plot

how's this...

>Same director for another remake of Dune
I'm a little worried. I've read the Dube series 3x (Frank's books, which ended with Chapterhouse, the rest are absolute shit).

IMHO, David Lynch (and his set and costume designers) got Dune perfect. Infact, when I read the books, I invision his sets in my mind's eye.

Heretics of Dune (1984) is one of my favorites.

>I love Ryan Gosling he's a good actor
Maybe, maybe not, but they could've at least made him look less out of place in that world by shaving off his "I'm a current actor keeping myself ready for Afghanistan war movie of the week" facial hair. Seriously, so many actors these days keep themselves in that state, for that exact reason, and just jump into whatever other work they take on with it on.
Also, too PC.
Personally, I think they wanted to ride the interest in bleak future/cyber punk generated by Ghost in the Shell.
Oh, and that fucking dialogue was shit. It was like token generic movie dialogue chosen via a Yahtzee game. "You've bought a war," is an example. And delivered in the most ham way.
Pass. Toss it in with the fucking Tron sequel.

Not good. I'd rate it 3/5 stars. But I didn't think the first one was all that good, either.

>too focused on a story
Really??? It's a movie. It's about STORY!!!

Dude, without him, it would have been a total sausage fest at every movie theatre across the USA. Some consessions are needed in the name of profits vs. art.

I'm not denying that, but again, I wish Hollywood would focus on details and stop letting actors do roles in non war on terror movies when they're keeping themselves in that state of physical appearance.
All any actor right now cares about is the Afghanistan movie of the month, or the Marvel/DC movie of the month, and it shows.

If our troops would learn to fucking shave in real life this wouldn't be an issue.

Loved it. A rare good sequel that lives up to the original

it was complete shit

I liked it. I get why it failed at the box office but I liked it...except for...its based on a time line that starts in 2019...next year...alot has to happen in the next year for the story line to be plausible.
BladeRunner 1: Am I a android?
BladeRunner 2: Am I a human?

rich with themes about immigration, human nature, transcendence, and pretty good looking film. but the french faggot had to put fucking Peugot in the fucking film.

let me also put this another way. Bladerunner 2049 was exactly what it needed to be. A masterpiece that pairs pretty well with the first, but an ill advised venture that only resonates with mostly sperglords like you and me. When I went to see it, theater was empty except for 2 high school girls crackin' moisties for Gosling. They left half way through

I liked it.
It wasn't as good as the first, but it was still a damn good movie.
Lot of scenery porn too.

Agreed on this. Sea Wall in particular

There was still a story. The story made sense. It flowed. The story just wasn't incredible. The magic of the movie was everything surrounding the story. Not the story itself.
