Reminder.

>reposting from ded thred
catching up on Jimmy the wop games.
everything I see makes me think he's actually is the diamond in the rough everyone says he is.
he's making every throw asked of him
one of those QBs you can tell is just developing a rhythm on every set of downs.
then I realize he is doing this with a worse supporting cast than the browns or bears.
I never watched his pre season stuff or really any of his shit before.

I take it back. maybe the niners were right to give him that money. I still think its stupid to do it without a full season under his belt. but I see what they see in him.
I really thought the pats fleeced the niners in that trade. Now Im not so sure. Hope they draft a lot of offensive weapons for him.

panthers fans are fucking delusional

3rd for the 28-23, the most important stat of that game

Patriots listening to multiple trade offers for Brandin Cooks. Many teams w QB's need weapons and Patriots have plenty.

Belichick tried so hard to keep him. I think that says enough, considering he has traded or let go every other one of Brady's backups through the years.

>rewatching the superbowl

Sheagles defense got fucking exposed by Brady and the Patriots offense, holy shit. Take away the fumble and they didn't do jack shit. The titans were better against Brady

>the Patriots almost traded Brandin Cooks for Malcolm Jenkins before the season started
spooky

>Belichick tried so hard to keep him
>I believe everything ESPN says

Trade him for OBJ and a second rounder

What he has shown is about the same thing Sam Bradford shows for the first 5 games before getting tired and falling to mediocrity or being injured every single year

belichick didnt try and keep him.
he got a fucking 2nd for him. you have any idea how valuable that is in the sunset of Tom Bradys career?
tried to keep him like a fox.
anyways Im just saying Ive come around and thought the niners got fleeced but it really looks like jimmy the wop is gonna be a starter.

Dubs decides which NFC team goes to SB vs the true defending Champs the NE Patriots

it's not because hes out of the ordinary, its because tom is 40

Lions

>could have gotten a first round pick
>"no no, i'd rather have a second round pick later in the year"
Yeah, he wasn't trying to hold onto him

To be fair, you can say the same about the patriots defense. Granted, the Eagle's defense has had a lot more success, but that comes from the defensive front putting on pressure that forces the QB to make questionable throws. Successful veteran QBs, ESPECIALLY Tom Brady, are able to make their reads and progressions quickly enough to not be phased, and it helps when you have monsters like Gronk and Amendola. Many people had been under the impression that the Patriots defense had been fixed since the beginning of the season, but the entirety of that super bowl felt like the same D we saw against the Chiefs in week 1.

pls read my paragraph

He held him into the season as insurance if Brady played bad or injured, instead Brady was the MVP again so byebye Jimmy.

Patriots 2nd round draft picks in recent history:
2016: Cyrus Jones (DB bust)
2015: Jonathan Richards (DB bust)
2014: Jimmy Garoppalo (very good)
2013: Jamie Collins (good), Aaron Dobson (WR bust)
2012: Tavon Wilson (DB bust)
2011: Ras-I Dowling (DB bust), Shane Vereen (good)

At best, he traded Jimmy Garoppalo for a chance at Jimmy Garoppalo. At worst, they're getting another bad safety.

Makes me think. Good thing they didn't do that trade, Jenkins was the unsung MVP for them this year.

B-b-but I thought Bill is always playing 17D chinese checkers

Only with 6th round picks in the year 2000

no they traded for a chance at a piece to patch up the team with a position they actually need.
>we have this top 10 QB just sitting the bench but we have a top 3 QB starting already
so its just a fucking waste of talent.
should have actually traded for proven players instead of draft picks.
but now they have the capital to spend on patching up whatever holes with a guy who is actually gonna see the fucking field instead.

its all part of the doubling down and going for broke while tom is still suiting up. makes sense.

The difference is everyone with a brain knew the patriots defense was shit, and benching Butler was just the straw that broke the camel's back

The iggles (((vaunted))) pass rush was completely neutered until the last two drives

I blame Patricia for having his head in his ass and I blame belichick for putting together such a shitty personnel group and then failing to adjust at halftime

>you’re now reminded how Patriots basically dismantled their Defence for these exact same “weapons”
>patriots fans celebrate this by proclaiming they have a perfect season that not even Eli could beat.
>dilly dilly

Guys, I just realized something. The Cowboys have appeared in zero conference championships over the last two decades... That means out of twenty tries, they failed to succeed even once. This is big...

yeah, much as I like Cooks, deep threats are much more common than all-around playmakers like Jenkins. he's been really invaluable for the D since we got him
Brady was hit as many times in the Super Bowl as in any game all season. They were getting pressure on him, he just played great. You do know that both offensive and defensive players can play well in the same game, right?

>A Chargers fan doesn't know the value of a good backup QB
I mean, look at the Vikings. They had a backup take them to the NFCCG. Or the Eagles, who won a Super Bowl with their Backup.

Not on the patriots apparently

Be happy you got to play against the worst defense belichick has ever fielded in his 40 year coaching career

>the Eagles played in the Super Bowl against the 2011 Patriots
you'd figure Aaron Hernandez would have had more of an impact

niners

I thought the 2010 team was worse?

yeah thats why the packers are trying to sign drew brees this offfseason.
just in case rodgers goes down again.
>user doesnt understand cap space issues or the concept of exceeding relative value

wow thats a nice car you got there! what are the monthly payments?
450$
oh yeah? whats insurance like on something like that?
well I pay 350 a month on insurance for it. but if anything happens to it I'll get almost the exact same model. almost.

How is a person this fucking stupid.

Worst Pats defenses in the Belichick era:
1. 2002 (21.6 ppg)
2. 2011 (21.4 ppg)
3. 2005 (21.1 ppg)
4. 2013 (21.1 ppg)
5. 2012 (20.7 ppg)

unsurprisingly, the only year they went to the owl was in 2011, when their offense was historically great.

You're 1-1 against us in the owl. If you drag your sorry asses back to the owl next year we'll settle this for good. Generally speaking though, the better your QB is, the better the Pats defense plays

Huh. Consider me wrong

>ppg

We're talking about one game, not an entire season. And sb 52 was statistically the worst a BB defense has ever played

>refusing to give credit to the man who completely outschemed Bill

>If you drag your sorry asses back to the owl next year we'll settle this for good.
a rematch would be cool. we /nba/ now?
the worst game, yes. that defense wasn't the worst defense the Pats have ever fielded though, which was your original statement. having a historically bad game against an incredibly potent offense doesn't mean the unit themselves were worse than the 2011 or 2013 teams.

>FA:Report: ESPN pursuing Peyton Manning for MNF

I hope this doesn't happen. Manning should be an OC somewhere. I love Romo's commentary, but he's wasting his talent too.

Manning likely doesn't want to coach. His goal is to have an ownership stake and control like Elway

>le go for it on 4th down man

It wasn't about scheme. The only scheme play you faggots ran was an illegal formation. Peterson is just the Brett Farve version of a coach, a stupid hillbilly with nothing to lose

You literally know nothing about football, and didn't watch any Eagles' games this past season. Educate yourself, and then come back and post here.

>81703923
Nice bait

Packers led the league in 4th down attempts

I just want this papa johns faggot to fuck off already. You're retired. Go do something else, I'm tired of your damn forehead.

>week after the superbowl
>barely any eagles gear in public

>2 weeks after superbowl
>suddenly eagles apparel fucking everywhere, and all of it is brand new

Really activates my amygdala

Can I ask something.

Would it be fair to say that Pederson is just as good a Coach as Andy Reid but without the tendency to Choke?

STOP MAKING MONEY AND ENJOYING YOURSELF

>It wasn't about scheme
someone should tell Matt Patricia that, lel

i do find it hilarious how a ton of Pats fans talked up their "bend, don't break" defense the whole time leading up to the game, and as soon as it's over they're back to shittalking the entire unit

That hasn't been my experience.

I see this too, fellow lifelong Philadelphia resident. Here in Central City is all Eagle fans now. Same with Fishing town and Germanytown

Is he the ultimate system babby?

Meanwhile, Yinzers wear black and yellow as if there was a state mandated uniform in a dystopian society.

Nope.

That's not scheme, that's a manlet DB getting beat on a jump ball

Phil Simms.

okay you tell me what it would have taken to retain jimmy the wop on the patriots.
then you tell me if that cost is enough for a player who if all goes well wont see the field at all.
yeah Im really sure that draft pick and money cant be put to better use going for the owl again with brady while the window is still open.
Im the moron here.
jesus christ people like you are why the browns just stay stuck in hell. faggots like you cant appreciate how things work. would have traded for magic beans right? youre a fucking moron.

...

Yeah how dare their coach exploit a weakness!

Was good without weapons for a year and then next year Got better and better with weapons. What do you think the answer is?

I'm not fucking arguing that they keep Jimmy. I'm arguing your idiotic point that having a good backup QB is redundant and a waste of cap space

you're right, every play the Eagles ran was in fact improvisation. no scheme here, folks.

just want to ask, what do you think "scheme" means?

You mad that he’s clearly replaced Tom as the GOAT? You sound mad.

>i do find it hilarious how a ton of Pats fans talked up their "bend, don't break" defense the whole time leading up to the game

I have no fucking idea why those autistic shits ever got it in their head that giving up that many yards doesn't mean shit. Although it didn't really matter in the Superbowl considering it was like a god damn big 12 game, it still affects field position. I know Patricia won two superbowls, but holy shit has NE's defense been painful to watch for like 8 or 9 years now. I'm glad he's fucking gone. Still, it leaves next year as a massive crapshoot on defense. I honestly don't know what to expect.

Draft probably isn't going to mean shit for >us

Beli usually drafts relatively mediocre on defense anyways.

I'm just tired of every commercial break having Peyton in it.

Nobody cares about Jimmy G. The patriots should be dissolved when Brady retires and I'm done watching the NFL after that anyway.

huh. and they would have had to franchise tag him right?
so maybe 20 million a year is a steep price to pay for a fucking backup HUH?
like maybe it would be better to deal him and get something out of it that benefits the team maybe?
oh and you can get youre old backup that you trust and already knows the system back in the deal as well HUH?
I GUESS THAT MAKES SENSE HUH.

fucking moron. yeah now youre argument was all about how backup QBs can be valuable.
fucking idiot. keep changing your story. or learn to fucking read maybe you cunt.

losing Hightower was really big, your other linebackers were so fucking bad in coverage and at tackling. doesn't help that Bill traded away Collins for peanuts way back when, and that outside of McCourty your safeties are garbage in coverage.

and yeah it may not have seem like it mattered much when the Pats were answering back on offense, but the Eagles handily won the time of possession game. that final drive to go down the field and score the go-ahead TD took 7 minutes, leaving the Pats only 2 minutes on that final drive, leading to Brady needing to go deep and not taking his checkdown on the play where Graham strips him. it all adds up.

you think Flores is going to take over at DC? or is Bill going to go full 2010 and do without one

How does an idiot like you, who posts dozens of times every fucking day, not know that more than two people can respond?

the eagles defense was exposed ever since the Seattle game. how Atlanta and Minnesota failed to capitalize on that is beyond me

South eastern PA here, I haven't noticed

because faggots like you just shit post. no one backs up their shit. its all false flags and intellectual cowardice.
anons dont know dick about anything. dont have the balls to backup arguments. how the fuck am I to differentiate between random posts responses?
maybe if you wanna argue put your money where your cocksucking mouth is and name fag for a thread so I can shut you down without you faggots copping out like always.

the Eagles defense averaged about 15 points a game allowed on the season at home, which is where they played Atlanta and Minnesota. in fact, the only games all year where the Eagles defense gave up more than 10 points at home outside of garbage time (DEN) were two divisional games, NYG and WAS.

>you think Flores is going to take over at DC? or is Bill going to go full 2010 and do without one

Although everything I've read points to Flores, I feel like Bill is going to go 2010 mode for some reason. At least Hightower will be back, as will Edelman.

Only reason why I don't want to Butler to leave is because he at least knows how to tackle. For someone who talks about >muh fundametuls so much the linebackers and secondary couldn't make a tackle or just wrap the fuck up to save their lives.

Christ you are the Angriest retard I've ever seen

or did you just walk into the middle of an argument to insert yourself without any fucking concept of what precipitated it.
entire argument is about the value of the niners/pats trade and the potential for both teams involved and the draft capital that can be applied.
>ha ur stupid a back QB is really good to have!
without any fucking weight of what that would have implied for the actual team involved to keep jimmy.
youre like a child that wanders into a theatre and wonders whats going on in the movie.
Shut the fuck up, youre out of your element.

It doesn't fucking matter. The patriots aren't going to be good again ever. They haven't been good as a team since the Seattle superbowl. Brady will have to throw 50 times a game just to keep it close while a bunch of bargain bin shitters give up yards and points by the dozen

I don't even want to watch the Pats when Brady isn't on the field. It's a fucking train wreck

I feel like the eagles are like the Panthers when they went to the Superbowl. No body is scared of them the next year, even with wentz I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make the playoffs.

Eagles, who win it again.

DA BEARS

noticed that, yeah. it was especially bad with Butler's backups (should Jordan Richards really be in the NFL?) but really it was bad across the board. genuinely really shocking to see the Patriots playing that badly fundamentally.
>I don't even want to watch the Pats when Brady isn't on the field. It's a fucking train wreck
maybe ya should have kept Jimmy G. post-Brady era gonna be ROUGH

Giggles, again

Except, you know, they actually won.

I'm a Brady fan, not a slobbering retard patriots fan

Yes I am aware, but, you know, that's not the point of the post

That's okay. Not respecting the Eagles will only make their fans more insufferable

Nate solder doesn't get his due

HE HAS NO KNEES U DIP

>averaged 1 int per game

>fleeced the niners for 1 (one) second round pick
Lol

>he got a fucking 2nd for him
the Browns would have given more, hell the P*ts could have the #1 over all pick right now

holy shit what a faggot

>worst girl won
this shit shook my faith in anime

i don't even know what anime that is its just a great reaction pic

>Anime
This is a high-test general, low-test weebs need to leave

holy shit lel

breh, football has been part of him for most of his life, you really expect him to just completely drop it and disappear? what's he going to do? take up horticulture and try to produce the perfect rose bush?

but that's not tim brody

god damn that was such a nice run
great blocking, nice cut up field, getting 15 yards down field before any of the pats even touched him
wish my team could still do that, was pretty much perfect

>The patriots should be dissolved when Brady retires and I'm done watching the NFL after that anyway.
>the average life long P*ts fan

Agreed. All low test losers gotta go.

Anyone who's a Pats fan at this point should have their brain taken away. The team has been awful for the past decade outside of the offense. Kraft knows that Brady is the real reason they have 5 rings, that's why he shopped garapolo and told belichick to stfu

There are a million clips of the Eagles this year that are basically just oline porn

twitter.com/BaldyNFL/status/960722805032710145

twitter.com/BaldyNFL/status/960722003362754560

The C, RG and RT on that line are absurd, even when Dallas had the best unit by far they didn't all play side by side

>BILLS TRADING LESEAN MCCOY
BILLS TRADING LESEAN MCCOY
>BILLS TRADING LESEAN MCCOY
BILLS TRADING LESEAN MCCOY

it's simple

if the eagles retain the core of their o and d lines, they win again.

You really want the Eagles to bounce them again?

>simple
>only 7 of 32 NFL teams have ever won back to back owls

source or gfto

>66
uh oh

LEL
the mad will be unfathomable

we have the right mentality.

Pederson will coach them to it.

>only 31% of all super bowls had a team winning back-to-back
>acts like that's not a lot

Next thread should be a back to back champs only thread

The Eagles repeating isn't easy. But that doesn't mean it's not gonna happen.

This. i want Eagle fans to stop bullying us Patriot fans

>Pats fans already living in the past
my fucking sides. already the best offseason of all time

>twisting stats around to try to make it seem easier

Can confirm won't happen.

Ah yes Aaron Rodgers, the gatekeeper of the NFC, much as Tom Brady is such for the AFC.

Oh wait, he's actually only been to one Super Bowl in his entire career? Posting an image of him implying that he's known for winning the NFC is incorrect? Weird.

Well we fired the sole person responsible for lack of superb owls (capers) so we will see

>Packers (I+II)
>Dolphins (VII+VIII)
>Steelers (IX+X)
>Steelers (XIII+XIV)
>49ers (XXIII+XXIV)
>Cowboys (XXVII+XXVIII)
>Broncos (XXXII+XXXIII)
>Patriots (XXXVIII+XXXIX)
That's 16 of 52 super bowls, or 31% of super bowls.

Also need players and the guy to replace him needs to do better.

>counting the first Super Bowl in a pair as a time when a team went back to back
not even that guy, but you might be retarded

But you told me for the past 7 years that McCarthy, and the offensive line, and the lack of a feature back, and ted thompson were all problems stopping Aaron Rodgers from throwing 19 TDs per attempt

>the packers winning both superbowl I and II don't count
not even that guy, but you might be retarded

They didn't go back-to-back? Hmmm. I wonder what they did then, other guy.

are you fucking simple? i'm talking about the first Super Bowl in each one of your examples, not literally Super Bowl I.

Play action silver gun 37 shoot x flanker

Did the packers not fix all these things besides mccarthy, who is on thin ice?
>giving up those amount of points
>all very good defenses

So now that the season is done its time to look back at how our team drafted. Rate your team's draft, add in UDFAs if you want to.
>Thomas - D, decent against the run but pretty much nonexistent against the pass, didn't like the pick at the time and still don't
>Foster - B+ (for his actual playing), was unsure because of his piss test issues and the fight with the staff at the combine, now he's added 2 arrests like a tard, looked great when on the field and not being checked for an injury
>Witherspoon, Kittle, TT, Colbert, A+, 3rd 5th and 7th rounders became quality starters when given the chance, better than almost the entire history of Balke Drafts
>Beathard, B, was just a 3rd rounder and showed some potential, decent back up material or maybe even an average starter
>Williams, F, hoped he'd be at least a good rotational RB but instead fumbled the preseason away and spend the year on IR
>Jones, Taumoepenu, no grade because didn't expect anything and didn't get anything from them
UDFA
>Matt Breida, A+, dude was awesome, can't wait to see what he can do next season now that he has a year of experience

Why wouldn't you? If you didn't then you couldn't count the first years to the total, and that's retarded as well. And then you had the whole only 7 teams have done it, like that matters.

>Hey, we're counting the number of times a team has gone back to back in the Super Bowl
>lol let's include the wins that aren't an example of them winning a consecutive owl
>why?
>....
Please tell me you're not this slow. SB 1, SBVII, etc. are not examples of teams winning back to back, because they didn't win the year before. There are only 7 instances in NFL history where a team has won the Super Bowl after having won the year before, and that's that.

This. The collective asspain of Patriots, Cowboys, Vikings "fans" plus Old Gay have made this the best offseason ever.

>Mike Williams - F; still don't understand this one
>Forrest Lamp - N/A; didn't play the season
>Dan Feeney - I don't know; I don't recall anything terrible with him playing
>Rayshawn Jenkins - Unsure if he even got any snaps during the season so I can't grade him
>Desmond King - A; major steal
>Sam Tevi - No idea
>Rochell - No idea

FA
>Okung - I guess B?

Loved this draft, agree with most of what you said. In terms of playing, I'd bump Foster into an A and CJ to maybe a B+, but otherwise good.

>only 7 teams have done it, like that matters.
it does matter because it shows how difficult it is you colossal autist
look at some of the dominant dynasties in the past like the 49ers in the 80s or the queerboys in the 90s or even the P*ts in the 2000s, none of them were able to go back to back more than once

Dude I fucking LOVED King, I was baffled when he dropped so low. Wish the Niners had picked him up.

Foster is gonna be suspended at least 6 games next year. It is also very likely he will be booted from the league in a few years.

That's why I said in terms of playing. He's an exceptional talent but he can't stop being a fuckhead apparently.

Yeah, he's a ballhawk. Round 5 seems to be the only round Telesco is good with, for some reason.

i like CJB and was hoping they could develop him into the starter but the wop signing kind put a end to that
i give Foster a B+ because he was leaving the field hurt too often, doesn't matter how good he is if he can't stay healthy, look at Sean Lee for example, his other non football stuff i didn't factor into the grade but still has me worried he was a wasted pick

1. Derek Barnett - B/B+
Looked great in limited snaps, should develop into a quality starter down the road. Really solid player overall.
2. Sidney Jones - ?
Still no idea how good he is or isn't. Nothing to really evaluate here.
3. Rasul Douglas - B-/B
Looked good at times, looked like a rookie at other times. His length and ball skills are intriguing, and I think he's a future outside corner in Schwartz' scheme.
4a. Mack Hollins - B+/A-
I adore this pick. Reliable receiver with burner speed, also a regular contributor on special teams. Think he'll take a big leap next year.
4b. Donnel Pumphrey - ?
Spent the whole season injured. Don't see where he fits in a crowded rotation anyway.
5a. Shelton Gibson -?
Didn't really play at all. Probably a depth guy at best in the future, but too early to judge.
5b. Nate Gerry - ?
Same as above. Could play a lot more snaps next year, though.
6. Elijah Qualls - C
Not impressive when he did play. Odd man out in DT rotation.

UDFA:
1. Corey Clement - A+++
One of the best picks in the entire draft. Versatile player who can contribute as a runner or receiver. His potential is extremely high. Still don't know how he slipped this far.

Overall - B-
Some quality players in here, but a lot of uncertainty. Will be easier to judge in a couple of seasons.

Yeah, they are part of the back-to-back wins, or II would just be a single non-consecutive super bowl win. Why wouldn't they count? And there's been 8 instances, not 7. Two things; learn to read, and know what you're talking about.

Oh shit, a young Patriots dynasty was only able to do it after 38 super bowls had past? Must mean no one could ever do it again. Pack it up boys, no point trying next year because it's never happened before 8 times in 39 years.

>Corey Clement - A+++
funny we both loved our UDFA RBs, really shows there's some good talent just waiting to be found well outside the early rounds

Yeah that's a super fair point about Foster's inability to stay on the field. I loved the pick at the time, even picked up his jersey, but he just can't stop doing fucking stupid shit. Him and Kittle were probably my two favorite picks in the draft, with the GREAT WHITE MANLET as a close third.

Barnett's no lower than an A. In those limited snaps he was so impactful. Got All-Rookie honors too.

My bad, I thought it was in reference to how good of a pick he was for the niners.

I think it really shows that most NFL GMs are unable to evaluate running backs properly for the most part. Even guys like Kamara, Cook, and Hunt who got drafted slid way below what their actual talent level was.
He was no doubt among the best rookies in the league, and if you're just comparing him to other rookies he's an A level player. I evaluated everyone there just based on how good of an NFL player they were their first year, and while Barnett was great whenever he played, his limited snap count makes me put him a little lower. Next year it'll be different though.

>Derek Barnett B
I was disappointed at first because of how literally everyone I wanted went before 14, but he's worked out really well, coming up in big moments all season, and will likely be a starter on the left side next season
>Sidney Jones n/a
He only played a little bit on one game, but the value is incredible considering he was in the discussion for the first CB taken before he got hurt.
>Rasul Douglas B
He played well in the 10 weeks the Eagles needed him the most. Now he provides great depth to a unit that was once the Eagles glaring weakness
>Mack Hollins B
On offense he always seemed to flash, and every time he flashed, it seemed to be third down. But most of his value comes from his top tier special teams play.
>Donnel Pumphrey n/a
Didn't look great when he was playing through an injury, but the jury's really out on Baby Faulk
>Shelton Gibson n/a
way too small of a sample size with him
>Nate Gerry n/a
Literal roster fodder thus far
>Elijah Qualls D
I mean, he was there. But he didn't really do anything. one of the HAMs, Justin Hamilton took his spot in the rotation

>UDFA Corey Clement A
What the fuck did we do to deserve a hard working back who runs downhill with a lot of power, AND can catch AND block literally out of nowhere?

@P12 I need a download of all Eagle webms this season yesterday.

oh yeah, i'm stoked about Kittle too, seemed to have a few drops at first but really came on and looked great
but we also had Stonehands McDonald for a few years so not dropping the ball 50% of the time is a big step up

Why did receivers start flocking the the 10-19 numbers in the past 15~ years?

>turning your back on stalwart Garrett Celek
you Judas
because they literally were not allowed to wear those numbers before 2004

1. Browns- Sam Darnold
2. Giants- Josh Rosen
3. Colts- Bradley Chubb
Trade Browns get Bills #21, 22, 2nd round pick, 2019 2nd round pick
4. Bills- Josh Allen
5. Broncos- Quentin Nelson
6. Jets- Baker Mayfield
7. Buccaneers- Minkah Fitzpatrick
8. Bears- Calvin Ridley
9. 49ers- Raquon Smith
10. Raiders- Saquon Barkley

>because they literally were not allowed to wear those numbers before 2004

>fuck it i'm going deep

yeah true, they seem to want to try to play safe and pick the big school big name RBs

they weren't allowed to before , also some teams have a bunch of numbers in the 80s retired

i like Celek but he's never really managed to be more than a 2nd TE for some reason

>Saquon Barkley falls to 10

>9. 49ers- Raquon Smith
thank you for not giving Saquon Memeley to us

It's not 1986 and people don't covet RBs anymore.

Celek's 2009 and 2011

>people don't covet RBs anymore
We just had back to back drafts were RB's went at the 4th pick

Who was the Yankees player that dies in Kingsmen? Was that a-rod?

>Baltimore is a part of the best top 6 in NFL history
Feels good man

That's Yankee legend Earl "The Pearl" Monroe.

based garrett

I think that oftentimes teams draft RBs based on how good their OL makes them look, too (i.e. Trent Richardson). And yeah, Celek is mostly just a blocker I assume.

webm tangentially related

And the best RBs in this years draft class were 3rd rounders. And both Zeke's and Fournette's production were much more than Barkley.

This is a really deep RB class and teams know this.

>Trent Richardson
Stop this. he was pretty good in his rookie season. Then he went to Indy and crashed and burn. that trade broke him. I don't think he was going to be a hall of famer by any measure, but the guy clearly had something from a football standpoint.

>Stop this. he was pretty good in his rookie season
No, he wasn't. He was shit in his rookie season too. They just happened to give the ball to him a lot on short yardage TDs

>yfwdbwtso

No Running Back should be drafted in the first round but some dumb team is still going to take Barkley anyways

It's just such an irrelevant positon

>no he wasn't
Yes he was. He was perfectly cromulent. That trade broke him, and literally everything on the man confirms this.

>Stop this. he was pretty good in his rookie season.
one, he really wasn't. two, that's kind of proving my point, as the Browns actually had a very good OL back then, and that was by FAR his best season.

>No Running Back should be drafted in the first round
This. Todd Gurley would've been better if my team drafted him in the 3rd

Trent Richardson just sucked

Nope. The trade is what did him in,

As said by The Browns had a really good O-line when he was with the Browns and he still only averaged 3.6 yards a carry

OH NO NO NO

>A center and LT make a really good O line
Untrue.

So will the Browns sign McCarron?

if your whole career is ruined by a trade, you aren't good

he was lethargic and had no vision

>if your whole career is ruined by a trade, you aren't good
That's not true in the slightest.

They had more than a good center and LT. John Greco was a good guard, Mitchell Schwartz is a good RT, and Ben Watson has always been one of the best blocking TEs in the league.

Despite all that, he had the lowest YPA of any qualified back in the NFL.

The hype about last year being a monster RB draft was actually true.

Greco was NOT good, he was average. Schwartz became good in KC, and a blocking TE is not a game breaker, as evidenced by Celek, who has literally never helped an RB gain a yard despite being "da best blawkuh in da nfl"

well, not quite. he's not in very good company here, though.
for once, yeah. a ton of talent to go around

he was a historically ineffective running back, and to blame it on the colts is just the ultimate bitch excuse. He never did anything before or since.

agree for the most part, but it depends on who trades you and who you go to, and your age.

If you are traded from one crappy team to another, you are gonna be poorly used and another year older. This is especially true of young players. But many times, a player goes from a crappy team to a good team and has a great career. The opposite happens just as often.

What the fuck is wrong with the AFC?

Reminder that the Raiders traded out of that spot to take DJ fucking Hayden

>as evidenced by Celek, who has literally never helped an RB gain a yard despite being "da best blawkuh in da nfl"
Are you high? Or are you actually Trent Richardson? This has got to be one of the worst arguments I've ever heard.

Richardson had a very good OL in 2012. Schwartz was good in his rookie year (made the PFWA All-Rookie Team), Mack and Thomas were elite, and Greco was a good player, idk why you think otherwise. Despite this supporting cast, he didn't produce at a high level anywhere but the goalline.

We literally won the last owl and we have 5 total. All this imaginary rage is just that, imaginary. We're on to the draft and Superbowl 53. Don't turn your team and fanbase into the new seachimps

Your fans are the ones still complaining.

>Bills fans unironcially think that the Giants will trade that #2 pick
>Bills fans unironcally think that this is even remotely enough to get them a number two pick

Yeah but we also moved alot of staff around too

On top of that we also will have the toughest schedule along with a broken ass defence, probably will be a wild card at best this year

No we're not, it's eagles fans and pats haters false flagging. Patriots played a bad game and Brady couldn't bail them out this time. End of story. On to the next one

>Bill & Tom retire
>Muh patriot way mystique fades
>McDaniels promoted to HC - tries to use players as BB did
>They rebel because he's a no talent, unproven piss ant with no mojo
>The ghost of Jimmy G haunts the Patriots for 10+ years
>Fail miserably in multiple drafts, taking offseason losses left and right
>Cant find a QB, experience several player behavioral issues
>Visit the bottom of the AFC east indefinitely

that's more value than the Eagles gave to move to 2.

Without Bill and Brady the patriots would be shit, garapolo or not. Nobody cares about the nfl post Brady anyway, it won't be worth watching. This past season was horrendous even with Brady

Sure it is.

>I-It's the false flags!

>Nobody cares about the nfl post Brady anyway, it won't be worth watching.

...

The Eagles were at 8 when they traded and they were traded with the Browns.

The Bills are trading at #21.
And old RB, two low first round picks and a low 2nd round pick isn't enough to get the Giants to move in a QB draft class like this.

>The Eagles were at 8
You can't ignore the trade to 8. and what the bills are offering is FAR more valuable than what the Eagles offered. the Eagles moved two literal negative value players, one of which being one of the worst contracts in NFL history

>it sucked WITH them but it will also suck without them because they're gone

I'm used to it at this point. Simulated rage is one of the many things you have to put up with as a fan of the greatest dynasty in sports history.

The only thing real pats fans are mad at right now is Patricia and Belichick for the horrendous gameplan and ineffective adjustments

The ultimate wildcard. Gettleman. Dude is so bad as a Gm he'd likely trade #2 for Adrian Peterson

>It's just one big conspiracy against us, a team that claims to have a dynasty greater than tha Yankees

A 21, 22 and an old RB still isn't worth as much as an 8 and isn't worthy anywhere near as much as a #2 with a QB draft class like this.
Bills fans are retarded and really desperate.

To me, it doesn't matter either way. But you have a stupid GM and a bad coach. This just screams "terrible decision". that trade they suggested is up there with stupid ones that the Giants would take, even if it wouldn't be the dumbest one ever

So why is Brady the only "elite" quarterback who can make it to the superbowl reliably?

cheating

Shurmur isn't a bad coach and no GM is dumb enough to pass on a QB here to put stock into a declining 37 year old QB with 2 years left on his contract.

>no salary cap
>(((dynasty)))

pat shurmur isnt bad, zimmer just wanted the offense to play conservatively, because of “””muh #1 defense””””.

>Shurnur isn't a bad coach

Pat Shurmur, through his entire career as a coach or coordinator has had ONE year of an above average offense. What an offensive genius that man is.

1. Pat Mahomes QB - ?- Looks promising
2. Tanoh Kpassagnon Edge - D - Developmental project. Didnt contribute this year
3. Kareem Hunt Rb - A+ - RotY enough said
4. Jehu Chesson WR - C - Special teams guy for now. Maybe a rotational receiver in the future
5. Ukeme Eligwe LB - D - special teams guy. Will probably be backup for life
6. Leon McQuay Safety - D - another backup for lifer

Firing Dorsey was a good thing. Guy can only draft in round 3

>hunt
>roty

t. swag millenial numale

>people think Brady is going to play 5 more years
I give him 2, next year will be his last good one, and he'll get bounced in the divisional round

Just seen the Lane Johnson 'I'd rather be fun and win one than win five' quote. Beta male with a loser mentality.

Too bad his play on the field is about as alpha as it gets.

they could have got him for nothing at the end of the year

>Beta male with a loser mentality.

Or he is a football player with passion, who wants to have fun doing what he loves as opposed to playing for a team that is akin to Enrons attrition type management

Where is this coming from?

If he's a loser, then how did he win?

you're a fucking gaylord getatan

No, this is the Patriots future. Their fans just don't know it yet.

Today, I will remind them

wow. cool. so what. it's not like foles completed a non-ref-assisted catch. I love how Brady gets blamed for overthrowing receivers, then when he is overthrowing he is blamed also. state of sp I guess.

I'm hoping Mack fills in for Torrey after he's cut.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

it's just so easy

Not running like a 70 year old man and catching a simple pass apparently isn't.

Do you even know what would have been "illegal" about that formation, or are you just parroting what all the other seething pats fans are saying after the fact to treat their butthurt.

Do you even know the """illegal""" part of the play had no impact on whether or not Foles caught the ball and made the play?

>Hiding behind another man's face while defending his honor on an internet forum
You're pathetic

>only one guy didn't pick double-digit win

Pls no. He's a penalty machine and a washed up player

>it takes more than trick plays, celebrations and dog masks to repeat
Pure delicious salt. Didn't the Patriots ran as many trick plays as the Eagles did? 1trick play doesn't equal 41 points.
The Patriots literally used a LB to pass a touchdown to in their repeat win. The Patriots used the underdog motive in their first Super Bowl win. And wouldn't the celebrations be an example of the Eagles having more fun, proving Lane's point?

They said that after the seachimps game too

>28 completions
>3 passing TDs

>hypothetical question
You are a CB drafted in the fifth round, you get on a team that is middle of the pack and over the course of your first contract they help you develop into the top CB in the league, a Pro Bowl shutdown corner. Come contract negotiation time you are a piece of a young core that has just won back to back SB’s and you’re the only major piece that isn’t locked down for several more years. The market value of you at the moment is about 19 million (making you the highest paid corner in the league) because two teams (one is the worst in the league but major market and the other is a 6-8 win team in minor market) would be willing to shell out major bank for you, meanwhile the team you play for could only make you about the fifth highest CB in the league.

Which team do you choose?

He didn't lose to the Seahawks last time I checked. Time's a ticking

Reminder, Eagles currently have the title belt. Which one of you dares face off against me in the rectangled circle?

>literally caught cheating not once, but twice
>greatest dynasty in sports
Cute

That and Belichick was hiding how bad the defense was this year

Whoever pays the most.

Already got the rings.

I'm surprised people couldn't see how bad the Pats defense was against the Jags and how that should've been a concern going into the SB.

...

Stay with my team and take the reduced pay.

Brady dickriding from that comeback made them blind, but it was bound to happen that way.

QUADS also you only seen to give a shit about pays cheating, so I guess you are a man drama loving homo.

How competitive is 5th in the league

What did he mean by this?

>tfw you see people talking about nba commissioner adam silver being so politicall progressive for supporting his players talking about politics, then you remember that roger goodell saw his league taking a ton of backlash about the kneeling and still came out saying the NFL would not force it's players to stand while silver still forced his players to stand

goodell > silver

Did you just gay me?

> I come to sp to regurgitate what other people say just to participate in childish taunting because I love drama, not sports. I don't even know the rules of the game
you are one of them m8y :^)

Depends on my relationship with my teammates
After already achieving maximum team success, I could go out and prove how elite I am. At the same time, the young core would be able to mask any weaknesses I may have in my game.

The way I see it is kind of like if Ed Reed was actually on that 2000 Ravens team and decided to leave in like the mid-2000s instead of staying a Raven for most of his career.

I think the Browns might stumble in the playoffs next year.

They officially went 0-16 in 2017. 2018 is the year of the dog, and we saw how it worked out for the Eagles being underdogs. Browns are Actual dogs. They're gonna sneak into the playoffs and get demolished in January because Hue Jackson and because it won't be the year of the dog anymore.

Your are dumb

Deli flipper is their OC now I think.

>Old Bay has a wrong opinion ONCE AGAIN

Wentz and Allen look the same and had the same college coach but Wentzs completion percentage is leaps and bounds better and he still wasn't a great product mechanically coming out. Wentzs high footbawl eye queue has let him improve his mechanics quickly turning him into a good QB. Allen's completion percentage is awful and if tests low I'd be worried. Big Ben is a good comp to what Allens top ceiling is because Ben is a retard with a 25 on the wonderlic and a big body . Allen's low end is Jake locker.

I disagree with Thomas. He's an athletic freak and has all the potential in the world and the second half of the season he improved a lot. Pass rushing will come the fact that he, as a d lineman chased down outside runs is fucking LIT. In a 4-3 you need more versatile linemen a pass rushing specialist is a detriment to the scheme unlike in a 3-4.

Marlon Mack- B-. I’m not as high on this dude as some Colts fans seem to be. He’s an alright change-of-pace back but he’s not a starter in the NFL. Can’t do shit between the tackles and his pass pro is awful.
Grover Stewart- C. Good depth guy but didn’t start a game. Nothing much to report here.
Nate Hairston- B+. The hidden gem of our draft class. A starter-quality slot corner.
Anthony Walker- C. Basically another Stewart. Started 2 games but more a depth guy right now.
FAs:
Rigoberto Sanchez- A+. Perfect replacement for McAfee, already one of the best punters in the NFL

The problem is that everyone knows that Jacksonville would've destroyed Philly in the Super Bowl so it's hard imagining any "what if" scenarios outside of that

the Eagles were the best team in the NFL all year. You're delusional if you think they wouldn't have beaten Jacksonville with all the weapons they had on offense. You can't even use the >foles argument because he won MVP and played the game of his life. Jacksonville would have gotten destroyed.

It would've been a much more defensive game. No way bortles picks apart Philly like Brady. Defensive struggles are flukey to predict.

>No way bortles picks apart Philly like Brady
exactly. The reason the Philly D looked like hot trash was because it was Tom fucking Brady. They would have killed Bortles and Fournette would've been eliminated by Cox, Graham, and our harem of D-line men

Teams should be able to trade cap space. It's not fair that the 49ers get to have globs of cash and my team is tight

>ITS NOT FAIR
lmao we have no talent either.

It's hilarious how dumb the AFC East non Patriots teams are. They all have cap space to steal Pats players and instead the Bills allow good players to be stolen from them over and over by the Patriots.

Why don't they offer Amendola who is paid peanuts, a big contract? Paying a few mill to take away one of Brady's favorite targets is worth it.

Amendola isn't that good. He would be shit on the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins.

Brady and Bill are the head of everything

Seriously, is there anywhere I can download the Super Bowl in its entirety

The Dolphins regularly wax the shit out of the Patriots

Why, it's one of the biggest defensive joke games in history.

You sound salty as fuck

He's not wrong. It's one of the highest-yardage in passing games ever.

it's legitimately one of the greatest of all time

it's two high powered offenses just beating the shit out of above average defenses. It's not that the defense was shit, it was that the offensive fire power was too much for them to handle

>come into the thread
>/nfl/ still mad at the Eagles.

>Hogan's 1st game back after injury
>Gronk suspended
>Running back core was injured and they feared getting more injuries so saved it

>/NFL/
>Not salt pats
HEY PATS FAGS DONT YOUR ROADS NEED ALL THAT SALT?

>I prefer college football where defense never matters

And he sounds salty as fuck. Did I say anything different?

That's because 60% of people in these threads are Pats bandwagoners

Defense did matter, though. It won the game in the end.

why are they mad though? they were defending SB champions and made it back? I mean how spoiled can you be?

I'm a Browns fan, not everyone who hated the SB is a Pats fan.

It's one of the worst SB's ever, two teams who failed to prep their defense to counter the enemy is a pure fucking joke. It wasn't 2 high powered offenses, it was Brady shitting on an overhyped Eagles defense and a Patriots Defense that Bill gutted in the offseason and benched their best slot corner. Eagles seemed high powered because Patriots defense was forced to commit suicide at the start.

Bradford was a fucking legend in college before his knee blew up. Him and Carson Palmer probably would have been Manning and Brady-tier QBs if their knees kept up. It's a shame we saw the Bradford we know, and not the Bradford we deserved.

t. Richard Sherman

come on man, it was fun to watch. Most people would agree that it was a good ass game of back and forth retaliation because people like touchdowns and high scoring games.

>I'm a Browns fan
How would this preclude you from being salty? You fags have to be the most butthurt fanbase on the planet after letting Wentz go.

>An O-lineman beating himself by planting his feet completely removing himself from the play is the D making a play

>browns fan
This is how to invalidate everything you manage to type.

Holy fuck this has to be the funniest thing I've ever read. How can Pats fans be this fucking salty, you have 5 rings?

I kinda agree with him, I was expecting a low scoring grind with how hyped the Eagles D-Line was, instead it was like a college game shootout.

They stopped them the last two drives, salty man.

>Posts a webm proving my point that Mason did nothing to stop the rush

he just got beat, man tried his best and all, but Graham had his number most of the game.

>you

He actually played the long con. Before he would just push into him, but here he went around him.

No you guys don't get it. The Eagles did literally nothing all season. 100% of their "accomplishments" were entirely because someone else's fuckups.

one thing I only just noticed is that Chris Long is about half a second away from knocking the ball loose, anyway. Beats Cam Fleming pretty badly off the snap.

Yeah, they still haven't faced anyone. If the Patriots or Viking or Falcons played better they'd be legit dangerous.

>they still haven’t played a REAL TEAM
>they didn’t do anything
Grow the fuck up.

You now realize that Cowboyleaf hasn't made a post since Feb 4th, 2018

calm down my eagle leaf friend, it was sarcasm

they're not... the iggles are lucky they're young meme QB got injured before they're inexperience made them one and done. Eagles were lucky to get a young and experience vet to help them win the owl. Foles played better during that span of games

>jets could offer cousins a fully guaranteed contract for 4 -6 years

jesus i get the first half of it but damn thats crazy

being this dumb

you seriously believe a Wentz-led Eagles team loses to Atlanta, at home?

>Wentz is a choker meme
where are people getting this? Is it just because he got injured? How is he a meme QB?

ELITE footwork and hand fighting.

COusins will be the first player in NFL history to get a fully guaranteed contract

now that is something a loser would say.

>they're

Plz no bully.

He'd choke out like Goff did. Wentz season was good but he never beat any good defenses like Foles did against the Vikings. Prior to this season Wentz was not that good. Foles career outside of Jeff Fisher was fantastic. if they were the same age I would easily want the Eagles to trade Wentz

the refs allowed holding and pick plays.

Wentz is better than Goff. You are high.

Foles was not fantastic on the chiefs or in about 1/2 of his starts this year.

...

Wentz played four top 12 defenses in the 2017 regular season. He went 4-0 against them.

Foles is also a very good QB. But people need to calm down and stop acting like the first 13 weeks of the season didn't happen.

just like they did for the pats in the AFCC, guess karma is a big bitch.

The Rams we’re easily shut down by more than simply there QB. It was a clear weakness going into the playoffs that they failed to address for Atlanta.

And let’s not forget how well Wentz was doing in his very first year when he didnt her to have a cozy set of weapons that guys like Dak got to play with (and still utterly fail with in the playoffs)

>J-Jared Goof choked so that means Wentz would've as well!

cheatriot bandwagoners crying about refs might be the ultimate ironing in life

Foles is better and you'll realize that when you guys greedily give him up to the Browns for his talent to go to waste again…

t. one of those faggots that only watches the postseason

Did people unironically say "Jeff Hostetler is better than Phil Simms" after 1990?

Wentz couldn't beat a seahawks defense missing 2/3rds their starters, lmao!

roflmao

he was the starter in 1991, so yes.
Tom Brady lost to Seattle at home in 2016. Or are you implying that a QB is shit if they don't win every single start?

>he doesn't like the Eagles

and led them to a wondrous 6-5 record

Why would anyone like that piece of shit franchise that hasn't done a damn thing?

I really hope Doug is telling the players that they aren't done YET. And that they need to repeat. I want to be the 98 Broncos, not the 14 Seahawks.

I'm not advocating for Foles to replace Wentz, to be clear. The situations really aren't that similar aside from the individual owl seasons, as Simms was in the twilight of his career and Wentz is entering his prime. Just saying that Hostetler did end up parlaying his playoff run into more playing time with the Giants.

Seems a lot of people love the butthurt they cause autists like yourself.

...

I played OT in College, Mason killed himself by what coaches call "Planting" it's shit rookies do in HS. A 90 lb girl could have gotten to brady by just walking on the side of Mason

they beat your scummy shit """team"""""

They didn't beat the Burrs, friend.

I mean, they kind of did

I studied polygraphs in college, and you did what they call a lie.

Madden 08 PC modded to have 2018 rosters, teams and uniforms. I don't know how the new Maddens are because Madden 08 was the last version released for the PC and I don't have a console.

But yeah when you start franchise mode you can turn team relocation on and off. Teams will up and leave their city and maybe change their name too for the same reasons ones do irl. I left it on because it sounded lulzy (and apparently it is)

except carson wentz is a super bowl champion

Yeah, like they got danged on this season going 16-3 and winning the superbowl. Fucking laugh you and all this analysts are, my only wish is that at the end of next season you saved a years worth of shitposting coveted on the walls of your house and when the EAGLES shut you up again, you start literally eating your words until you can't stomach anymore. FUCK you old bay, you FAGGOT.
