With the amount of fans this weekend brings to the Daytona Beach region, and that it's a holiday weekend, the power grid will already be strained. With all of these massive banks of lights it takes to light a track of this size, it feels irresponsible or maybe even borderline criminal to waste all of this electricity to light up the track when the drivers could just turn their headlights on. It might be a bit different for us fans on TV to get used to, but in time we would. Or maybe NASCAR's "Green" initiative was just for show and they don't give a shit about our environment.
