STeaks

>PIT:Joe Musgrove not concerned about shoulder
That's reassuring.

word on the street is that big time timmy jim is back

He probably did ask for that much and you're right it made a lot of sense for both sides. I guess he didn't expect this whole offseason to be as fucking brutal as it has.

>harper doesn't want to discuss free agency
"thats a clown question bro"

>WAS:Harper doesn't want to discuss free agency
Confirmed he'll just take whatever deal the Cubs give him.

>I guess he didn't expect this whole offseason to be as fucking brutal as it has.
If you go down the list of teams it was pretty clear early on that there weren't too many holes at 3B, almost none among contenders.

>J.D. Martinez signs and no one cares.

Rays will be a fucking travesty to watch this year. This front office just leveled the fucking team which means a sale or a move is imminent.

>Florida will be without any baseball teams by 2022
pretty funny, not gonna lie

Loria made his bedby being a shit owner.

Sternberg just never really gave enough of a shit.

Pretty sure with global warming there won't be a Flordia at all in a decade. MLB is like an animal, it senses the danger and is moving their franchises away to higher grounds.

>>Florida will be without any baseball teams by 2022
Please no. I'm still upset the Manatees disappeared .

Does this general have a discord?

And got replaced by this abomination

2bh I’d take Red Sox current roster over the Yanks any day
RF Mookie Betts
LF Andrew Benintendi
SS Xander Bogaerts
DH J.D. Martinez
1B Mitch Moreland/Hanley Ramirez
3B Rafael Devers
2B Eduardo Nunez
C Christian Vazquez
CF Jackie Bradley Jr.
They’re stacked as hell. Bet they do better than the Yankees again.

mookie betts? more like poopie butts lol

Most expensive team in baseball

bros ready to have some fun

>Bird > Mitch Moreland/Hanley
>Rafael Devers > Probably better than whoever the Yankees play at 3B

>Gary Sanchez >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Christian Vazquez
>JBJ = Aaron Hicks

Why do White Sox fans think about signing Duda as a DH?

Dude. Weed. LMAO.

JIZZo

lmao

The Chicago Cubs are going to throw 450 million dollars at Bryce Harper, financially crippling their franchise for 10 years and I'm going to laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.

CUMthony JIZZO

>spring training baseball games this Friday

SO FUCKIN WOKE M8

"Tanking doesn't happen in baseb-"

>yaks

What's he searching for?

>financially crippling their franchise for 10 years
How can you financially cripple yourself with a hard salary cap doesn't exist?

Wild Card 2

Why Ohtani left him at the alter?

ghost of Felix Hernandez

A playoff appearance

>implying they get that far

The Mariners fading playoff hopes.

...

I'm surprised he hasn't been signed. I think he'd be a pretty clear upgrade over Matt Davidson, too. I thought the Red Sox or Mariners were going to pick him up.

>How can you financially cripple yourself with a hard salary cap doesn't exist?
By throwing 450 million dollars at a player who isn't worth it.

I say $420 over 12 years. That nudges Greinke for the highest AAV in MLB.

You've misrepresented a few things.

Torreyes was a tier1 utility man off the bench. he was clutch and hit nearly .300 over +100 games. Bird stays healthy and hes a 30+ home run hitter. His
HR/AB is fucking disgusting. Its a small sample size, but, again, over a full season he could well be a powerhouse. Andujar's production, like any rookie, remains to be seen. But to say there's nothing scary about him is short-sighted, he's shown excellent potential and power hitting. Like the other user said, Brett Gardner has produced. And his last season was one of his best, over 20 homeruns and nearly 100 runs.

You're underselling the Yankee lineup immensely

Not when he hits some walk off bombs on your team. It's alright to be scared.

just looking at MLBTR right now is triggering my autism..........

>Red Sox to sign J.D. Martinez
>JD
>Diamondbacks sign Jarrod Dyson
>JD
>Josh Donaldson expects to test free agency
>JD

MAKE IT STOP

They had a fucking shit year relative to their 2016. Everyone forgot how to hit a baseball. If they get their shit together they'll be tough, but I'm not counting on it. There's a leadership vacuum and apparently a shitty clubhouse.

I posted in the last general that I think the Rockies made a big mistake not trying to jump in and poach JD Martinez. I think that team is going to lose all their guys and find themselves largely shut out of next year's bonanza.

Doesn't matter. Any AAA scrub can hit .300 with 30 HRs at Coors.

2014-2017:

Corey Dickerson: .282 BA, 85 HR, .835 OPS, 7.2 fWAR, 494 games

Eric Hosmer: .289 BA, 77 HR, .799 OPS, 7.5 fWAR, 609 games

That wasn't the case last year. They didn't have a good offense outside of Arenado, Blackmon, and a couple of other average bats.
