Shin Getter and Braves are considered pretty well received for super robot stuff, watch Gundam if you want realistic stuff (UC, not that alternate universe is a little wacky)
Most folks will tell you to start at the original, but the animation is a little jarring even for its age. If you can get past that you can watch a bunch of other good shows tho, the original itself has a pretty great plot too

Riding with a gf is pretty fun. My wife doesn't skate and isn't an athletic type of girl in any way. But, the moments of bombing hills and finding new areas were always my favorite back in highschool. Weird thinking that just a few years ago we had a large group always up to no good, to me now alone in the living room with a couple beers and waiting for work while my wife sleeps. Got plenty of stories if you'd like to read

You should watch the original in order to understand what happens in a lot of other shows, it’s kind of like the Star Wars films (Gundam, then Zeta Gundam, then Char’s Counterattack, etc). There’s a lot of shows that are self contained tho, the 08th MS Team and War in the Pocket are all self contained stories in the same universe. Stuff like Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed all take place in their own universes, so you don’t need to watch anything before those

Alright, I think I'll start with a pretty dramatic one just for the memory. I was 17 at the time and was always in some sort of trouble, be it with the law or some others up to no good. I just got off work when one of my buddies asked to hang out for a while, but he was kinda tense on the phone. I agree and we meet up at a gas station in the middle of where we were. We do a few tricks and head to his girlfriend's house. Turns out the reason why he was so tense was because he knew she was cheating on him. This girl wasn't the most upstanding, but that went for all of us. She abused a lot of pills and hard drugs. Mind you, all I ever did was smoke pot at the time. Turns out she was sleeping with her meth dealer and he beat the shit out of her for not putting out the night before. I didn't know any of this till we were outside her front door and he just drops the bomb on me. His car was parked outside and we knew he had a gun, so confronting him wasn't even an option. What we did was call her mom, no one fucked with her because she was an old timer and didn't take anything from anyone. She got home in about 20 or so minutes with three guys in their late 20's to early 30's. She told us to go stand by the back door and be ready to beat the shit out of the dude with our boards. He comes flying out the back door in a panic as we swing our boards as hard as we could. Turns out the guys she brought with her were from a rival gang of his, all strapped. I don't think there was any other point in my life where I was more terrified of what was going on and what I gotten myself into other than that. The guys her mom brought with her planted ketamine, meth, heroin, ecstasy, and cocaine in his car and pockets. He has gotten 75 years in prison because of that day.

Yeah, I've had my fair share of those incidents as well. I ate someone's bumper because they cut me off when I was first learning how to board. My hands and knees are practically all scar tissue at this point

I think I'll share my first arrest this time. This one isn't nearly as dramatic or intense as the other. It was four of us messing about at an abandoned golf course. Me, my current wife who I wasn't with yet, my best friend and his girlfriend. Most of the windows were boarded up and nailed tight, but the ones where the rental station was were still in tact. Being the dumb kids we were, we smashed a few out of teenage angst. Me and my buddy decided that we should head out and come back another day to explorer the inside, but the girls decided to hang around for a while and sort some things out. Me and my buddy were sitting at the edge of the course waiting for them, when four police cruisers surround us. An officer walks up and asks if we are waiting for anyone and that they are responding to a call for vandalism. We say we are just waiting for a few friends to meet us and we have no idea what they are talking about. Little did I know that my buddy sliced his hand to shreds on the broken glass and got some in his pockets. They took us in after about an hour of questioning and searching. I take back what I said in the last story, this one put the fear of God into me. The thought of having my mom see me in handcuffs and being put into a cop car was probably the worst in my life. If you post frequently here, I can have the pictures for you tomorrow. If not, at least I got the pictures to shitpost later

i really like king gizzards paper mache dream balloon (especially Sense) but its not really like any of their other albums, not that I've really listened to them. i only like certain metal and rock songs, not super into it i guess.
