if there is an "a" before any word that begins with a vowel, it will be "an"
vowels are; a, e, i, o, u

Usually it would be "an" since "an" is used next to words beginning with vowel sounds, (A E I O U), however, it sounds off since European despite starting with an E is pronounced with a J sound (Jurope, almost)
"A" would be the most common in normal US english.

Attached: AlexHarperWut.png (450x517, 332K)

These people are actually retarded. The second option in the first question is the most accurate. It would be the third one if it said "more than" instead of "more then".

Second question is "a". Although European starts with a vowel, it does not start with a vowel sound.

Select the most appropriate article (if any) to fill in the blank space in the following sentence. Choose as many answers as are correct.

It concerns second-class roads toward small towns that already have ____ access to their community centre, but the roads between them have not been fixed.

You're completely wrong about the first one but right about the second.

No article. The wording is odd, but there would be no article there.

Is there no context for that sentence?

The answer should be 'an' or no article

Adams, John, mayor of Alabama, said that more than two thousand people had been saved, on Tuesday evening.

Ok genius. You literally aren't supposed to put two breaks in a sentence like that. To make it technically correct, it would have to be "On Tuesday evening, Alabama’s mayor; John Adams, said that more than two thousand people had been saved." But that is "less correct" than just specifying that John Adams is the mayor.

This one is kind of a "gotcha" because the first part works and is valid in all cases (save for a missing apostrophe and arguably an extra comma) but only "had been saved" is valid. "people are saved" rarely makes sense.

why not the second answer to the first question?im not native speaker also. in the fourth answer shouldn't it say "have been saved"?

i alredy click the answer(

Misuse of commas is a lot more acceptable than completely wrong tenses. "more than two thousand people are saved". Genius

the

and post more belle delphine

The

"a" could work if it was talking about a generic politics society, however, the capital in Politics society implies it's a name of a specific group, a proper noun.

Go with "The"

yea >Alabama’s mayor, John Adams, said on Tuesday evening that more than two thousand people are****** saved.
the others have too many fragments but the word 'are' is incorrect here. it should be 'were' so the answer is
>On Tuesday evening, Alabama’s mayor, John Adams, said that more than two thousand people had been saved.

I'm chalking that up as a poor translation, since that's a pretty egregious misuse of commas. I mean look at the second question, it's worded equally as strange.

thx.

"the" again

Alabama is a state, not a city, it cant have a mayor

the

"The" again

That's why it's "Alabama mayor" and not "Alabama's mayor". It implies that the individual referenced is from Alabama and does not show ownership.

also, i can post belle or russian memes or fap pics? Order

Chalking what up as poor translation? The commas or the tense?

The European member state question is worded fine, probably not what would ever be said but it's grammatically fine and makes sense

so the right answer is 3 because of this? it would be retarded to need knowledge of american geography for an english test.

>On Tuesday evening, Alabama’s mayor, John Adams, said that more than two thousand people had been saved.
Is the correct answer because you can't just say they "are" saved if your using past-tense. "Had" been saved is the most logical

A or the

No the guy who you replied to is nitpicking. The answer would still be 4, even if Alabama can't have a mayor it's still the most grammatically correct.

'a' if she received >one dress

'the' if she received one

an is for words starting with A E I O U sometimes Y and sometimes H
a is for words with a consonant (not a vowel)

i need time, i am uploading!

Attached: 2018-12-07_22-16-20_UTC.jpg (1080x1350, 118K)

It would be the third one. Alabama has multiple mayors, "Alabama's" is a possessive conjunction, and "Alabamas" is plural. Therefore, you can only use option 3.

Easy, its
>the
Because it's indicating that dress and not some other dress when using "a". And "an" is only used when the next word after the article starts with a vowel.
disc.gg/8jAKgKX

it could be a or the but judging based off the last questions, go with a

Why do you retards keep focusing on one aspect and ignoring other incorrect aspects?

This is my post...
Better yet, OP. Just message me on Kik. My username is EastsideBiGuy
I'll help you there.

We don't have enough context to know beyond a or the.

i think the is more correct?

Also guys, i need afk for 30 minuts, because i am at work. but then we will countine

Attached: 2018-09-08_16-56-26_UTC.jpg (1080x1080, 89K)

because we are autists
she could have received more than 1 dresses

Dont message this guy.

It doesn't matter here, there's not enough context to differentiate between 'the' or 'a'

afk

Attached: 15808944729491.jpg (1373x1047, 262K)

There would be more context in the sentence if it was "a". "The" is correct because it indicates THAT dress she got. The sentence does not have any signs of using plural so there is one dress. The would be a good match for the singular dress

Attached: Unknown-15.jpg (1334x2000, 349K)

That*

Attached: IMG_4026.jpg (1125x728, 131K)

The third one, the State of Alabama doesn't have a mayor, it has a governor, ergo he's not the mayor of Alabama but a mayor in Alabama.

And you would say the same exact same sentence except with an 'a' if she had received more than one dress. We don't know how many she received so both work.

How fucking retarded are you americans? 'then' is incorrect, and 'more than two thousand people are saved' is also incorrect.

The lack of knowledge of mayors of Alabama is irrelevant in a foreign countries English test. Not to mention it's probably just a mistranslation.

For the dress one, "the" works if she received one dress, whereas "a" would work regardless of how many dresses she received, so I'd say "a" is the safest choice considering the lack of context.

btw "then" may also be a misspell by OP or the test is for retards

In every sentence, maximize comma usage, it is the only way to speak to people, you sound foreign if you don't.

Attached: 1550287502801.jpg (523x470, 45K)

these people are mongoloids only trust the man asking fr the megupload

Half have correct and incorrect use of 'than'. It's so they don't do what Americans do and use 'then' incorrectly.

everyone who picked any of these 4 sentences is fucking retarded
theyre all wrong

I am here. Boys!!!

next q!
Fill in the blank in the sentence below with the most natural form of the word in brackets. The response is case sensitive.

An ______ seller is waiting for customers at the markets. (onion)

Attached: 2018-09-27_19-25-08_UTC.jpg (652x815, 36K)

You are misusing the semicolon.

You either use it in an enumeration, or in the other case, it can be replaced by a full stop.

>On Tuesday evening, Alabama’s mayor.
>John Adams, said that more than two thousand people had been saved.

Oopsies. Here is an example of how you can use it:

On Tuesday evening, Alabama’s mayor, John Adams, said that more than two thousand people had been saved; in fact, only 700 were saved.

exactly as typed, lowercase, singular, "onion"

this. the correct answer is: Alabama mayor John Adams said on Tuesday evening that more than two thousand people had been saved.

also, i don't add or change anything in test. I just copy it.

This q about alabama mayor is not actual already

Attached: 2018-10-21_18-30-00_UTC_2.jpg (1080x1350, 75K)

No. 4 is grammatically correct. In fact, there is even a town in New York called Alabama; they do not have a mayor right now.

If you want to be extremely pedant, then, would you consider a sentence to be grammatically deficient if it said "New York mayor John Adams", while there has never been a mayor of New York named John Adams?

Belly pack. For my teachers, i hope i will pass
