Paramedic. I work for a private company not a fire department but the company I work for has 911 contacts so we get a mix of nursing home emergency calls and real emergency calls. Unless you’re on CFD out here you get paid shit. My old partner got picked up by a small city outside of Chicago as a fire medic and is making $10/hr

As in: if I spend money on "drugs" I spend it only on modafinil. I spend most of my money on rent and saving for house, nice car, etc. obvs.

Also, if you get a job with a good law firm in London, it's very easy to earn above £110k pa.

Work with a US firm based in London so hours are often late. In my practice area it isn't uncommon for lawyers to have to work until 2am. Really just use it to stay awake and work more productively.

Depends on where you go. FDNY EMS would hire you in a second but you’d need a NY address first.
If you were in a lower NY/Long Island county it varies, but you could even get work as a paid guy in a volly department. And the cost of living is comparable to Illinois, again depending on where you are.
You could go to a private but it’s all vent transports with shit pay almost no benefits
