Further, even if the posting of an image for which you don't own the copyright or have a license from the owner were to somehow qualify for a fair use defense, you still have to prove all 4 elements, which are beyond the scope of your inquiry here as stated because nothing on Cred Forums could ever qualify for fair use as it is merely an image board. Even assuming you could overcome all of those hurdles, you'd easily spend half a million dollars by the time you got to trial in attempting to assert a fair use defense.

Frankly, only an imbecile would post an image on Cred Forums that they don't own the copyright to. The purpose of these image boards is to post original content or images you actually own. Red, fb, ig., and all the others require that and nobody violates that and if they do it is immediately taken down.
