He killed Her. She tried her best, but this selfish son of a bitch took her. How this fucker keeps getting away with this kind of shit?

Because he's famous.

Why do you watch overrated sad shows? Is it because you're French?

Nigga she was like 30 years old and a junkie. She did that shit to herself.

But she was sober for like 9 months until this fucker call her to do drugs with him in his self-pity shit.

She explicitly said she was sober so she could do drugs later and get higher than before.

Peut ĂȘtre.

In all fairness the only reason for Sara lyin to be a character on the show was for her to die in a shocking manner later on the show

She was sober at the time. Something or someone else in the future could have made her fall off the wagon. But it was Bojack who did it and he's still responsible. He led the closest thing he had to a daughter and the only friend who could really understand him to death.

...

...

>She tried her best
Stopped reading there.
She gave up her sobriety voluntarily.

But damn was talking about the possibility of actual rehab and going to college and become an architect. Instead, fucking BoJack was the typical selfish douche who he is and ignored her whe she needed him the most. Then she went down in BoJack's rampage of self-destruction.

It's not excuse for Bojack destroying yet another life.

>But damn was talking about the possibility of actual rehab and going to college and become an architect.
Well, she should have tried that shit instead of being a drug addled party girl and going on a bender. She certainly could have afforded to go to school.

She destroyed her own life.

Sarah said in the first season that she was not going to be rescued. She would die tragically young.
I mean Bojack killed the last bit of light in her but still.

This.

So if you have a friend with a history of attempted suicide who tells you he's going to kill himself one day, you're free to stab him in the heart and feel no guilt over it? Or if that's too extreme for you, is it OK to take your friend who has a gambling addiction and tells you that he wants to gamble real bad to Vegas on a tour of casinos? Sarah Lynn MIGHT have killed herself trough drugs one day, it might have been in a week, it might have been in 20 years, that doesn't change the fact that Bojack greatly contributed to her death by making her go head to head with a horse in drug consumption. Or MAYBE, she could have cleaned up her act, built a career outside of entertainment and started a family. We will never know and Bojack is responsible.

Exactly, Bojack is a cancer and will kill everyone in his life.

That's my point.

I'm not saying Bojack is completely innocent here. But you're acting like Sarah Lynn was some pure perfect little angel. But she wasn't. She was an adult and at the end of the day we all have to take responsibility for our own actions. Maybe something different would have happened sure but she made the choice to go out partying and required no coaxing or convincing. Besides Sarah Lynn was enabling Bojack as much as he enabled her.

I think it's purposefully left in a grey area. I take away that what they're implying at the end of the season when he attempts to an hero in the desert is that he does feel responsible for her death. He panics when the little girl on set looks up to him, knowing he could easily fuck up another innocent life again if he doesn't change.
He knows he fucked up. Had he not intervened, she would have probably stayed sober longer. Granted, she did say she was only in it so it would hit her harder when she used again, but she did tell him to hit her up when he's done trying to get his life together. In that way, it was his fault for dragging her back into that life style. I think they threw the discussion on heroin in there ("liquor before beer, don't do heroin") to show that Bojack wasn't interested in putting her in serious danger, but he really didn't have the mental capacity to do anything about her decision to use.

It's left grey to show that sometimes people make bad choices because they're inherently damaged. There's no real answer here.

Guess who's next?

No!

Mr. Peanutbutter?

No. She was really shitty and she bring that to herself. What I'm trying to say is that she could have done better. Then "Mr.-I didn't-get-my-oscar-I'm gonna-hurt-myself-just-see-me" called her just for doing drugs with him. Damn dude, she would have died sooner or later, the thing is that BoJack keeps fucking people up (literally)

>old yeller
>where the red fern grows

I know where this is going.

Maybe it wouldn't be just her arm this time...

She only had the epiphany that she could have done so because of the trip. So she was going to die, or going to die.

All she needed was a father figure. Her stepdad, the one who ended up accepting the award on her behalf, molested her. She had nobody responsible at any point in her life.
She only had a single father figure, Bojack. The problem is looking up to someone with the same set of problems gets you nowhere.
He was just as toxic to her as she was to him in the end, giving the shit Hollywoo stuck to them to each other in the first season. Both ended up developmentally still teenagers, both came to a place in their life where they could move on from their shit together...until she died within an hour later, and Bojack disregarded the lesson.

I think she just needed and Adult.

But-- damn it.

I wouldn't have given a shit. Todd was utterly useless this season. A background character.

>She tried her best
Her house was filled with liquor and a few different drugs that she had ready so she could get super messed up off of after losing her tolerance by being sober long enough. Only thing she tried at was being a more efficet addict and maximizing the effectiveness of what she takes.

I thought she was gonna be a one time character, didnt expect her to return after her first episode in season 1.

>I have never dealt with actual addicts/alcoholics before

She said that, but dude, that just wasn't meant for her. She would have fucked up eventually and it's sad but it's the truth.

I think she went out in the best way possible for her. She could have relapsed with fake friends who would have dragged it out for years and just used her for status instead of how Bojack genuinely just wanted someone as fucked as he is to take drugs and forget about everything. Sara Lynn died in her favorite place with her only friend completely at peace instead of alone in a filthy cheap hotel in Hollywoo like we all thought she was when she was first introduced.

Bojack is an adult.
