What a great time to be a DC fan.

Is it just me or are the green scaly shorts more sexual when drawn as shorts instead of panties like pic related
You'd think it'd be the other way around

EVERYTHING IS CANON

>great time to be a DC fan
>no Jonah Hex
>no Captain Marvel
>no WW2 comics

I've always preferred DC's approach to continuity. They're not afraid to change things up or straight up reboot things but aren't afraid of their past either, acknowledging it and even taking it into consideration for future stories.

Rainbow Bat a best Bat

I don't really understand what's going on in rebirth.

Is Superman the pre-new 52 Superman? But Wondy and Bats are their new 52 versions?

Why does Batman say "the Supermsn I knew"? What happened to that Superman?

Pretty much yes to all your questions. New52 Supes died right before Rebirth kicked off so Post-Crisis Superman could now fill in the role.

On the other hand, we have sources saying that everyone in the New52 is essentially the same people as Post-Crisis, albeit with some time and relationships taken away, which raises even more questions as to why the New52 Superman was an entirely different person to begin with.

New 52 Superman died before DCU Rebirth.

What issue is this? Is it storytimed?

They end up creating a giant big clusterfuck of nonsense

Trinity #1, still in the catalogue user

I mean this is Pre-Flashpoint Superman. Of course he explicitly remembers old continuity.

Heck, if he and Wally met up they'd be like old friends. The dudes knew each other for like 15 years. Shame that won't happen.

The Rainbow Batman moment happened before Crisis on Infinite Earths, so in that sense, even this Superman shouldn't even remember.

EVERYTHING IS CANON

>so in that sense, even this Superman shouldn't even remember.

Grant Morrison made all of Batman shit canon after Infinite Crisis. So all the Golden Age and Silver Age shit happened for the pre-52 Batman.

Well sort of, there were some stuff that still couldn't happen, like the original Golden Age story about Joe Chill since it also involved Robin and Batman was no longer like the 1939 self. Or the stories with Alfred Beagle (though Morrison did throw in a reference by making "Alfred Beagle" Alfred's stage name).

They already referenced plenty of Silver Age stuff in Sugar and Spike, but no one read Legends of Tomorrow.

Dude

pandering to nostalgic stuff that most readers just pretend to be nostalgic for because they didn't even read that stuff

Lmao

What's so hard to understand? After COIE Batman got a new origin with Year One, Superman got a new origin with Man of Steel, Wondie got a new origin with Perez, but if it doesn't conflict with the current run, you can still assume past adventures happened.

It was the exact same thing with New52, Batman got a new origin with Year Zero and Superman with Morrison's Action, but still referenced past villains and adventures.

I sorta think people just overreact and try to act confused because they're online, trying to have a discussion, trying to get outraged and tring to sound smart. Though COIE got a rocky reception, canon wise, when it was released too, it's just that the fans genuinely wanted to read comics, and interaction was limited to local shops an conventions, they weren't plugged in twitter/tumblr/imageboard echochambers 24/7 getting assimilated by the hivemind.

DC saying fuck everything counts

Lord DiDio please deliver us from this sinful world

Ozymandias keeps showing up and talking about how Superbro wasn't who he thought he was. Presumably he abducted Superman and cloned him or some nonsense.

Oh shit, new 52 superman is Connor.

Wouldn't it be awesome if DC just went full-blown nuts and included all the elseworld memories into these guys too? Would be badass seeing this Batman acknowledge not just the main universe but Injustice too.

They also may have teased a Crisis in Justice League today like they did when Lex saying "A Crisis is coming." in Superman/Batman before Infinite Crisis.

That sounds terrible. Elseworlds are alternate universes for a reason. Injustice is only good for a few laughs.

New 52 Superman died from medical complications of taking in at least 5 or 6 alternate energy sources (including things like kryptonite, an apokolips fire pit, etc.) apart from solar radiation to extreme levels in about 4 different ongoings.

This. It'd just be Tower of Babel every day.

Because there were 2 Supermen and Lois on Earth Prime when it got Flashpointed. Kal-L (Golden age Superman) was buried there after Infinite Crisis. So thats who the New 52 Clark was.

Nope. That makes 0 sense. No editor in the history of publishing would be so dumb as to Ok that retarded of an idea.

DC is always at its best when it respects and acknowledges its history even if its tongue in cheek.

DC sucks every time it tries to sweep its past under a rug.

Because clark would ask wally what happened to his kids
