This looks fantastic, which is a big relief after Monster Men which just feels like meaningless filler.

Holy christ is King in therapy? I love his work but I really worry about this guy sometimes.

I mean, this kind of literal tortured childhood for Bane is nothing new; even the "I wanted to die so much but I just couldn't do it" aspect isn't exactly new for Bane. So I wouldn't think it's King revealing his inner demons, so much as beautiful showcasing Bane's.

I think writing angsty comics IS his therapy.

I think King actually makes Janin standout. He was really good in Grayson as well. His action sequences, panelling and background were really good. you could see the difference when he was drawing jld and Superman. The colorist plays a huge part here as well.

Can't wait for the monster crap to end and this to start.

Im enjoying the Monster Men. Its only 5 issues across all books and is halfway over, chill out.

His work in final days of superman was the best part of that crossover though.

And King's writing Jason in his next arc, so maybe he'll be rescued from the shit list as well

not the next arc, I am Suicide is the next arc. then 2 issue filler that is probably about duke and gotham girl and then I am Bane arc starts.

well Bane was pretty much intended from his creation to be "Doc Savage but a bad guy", so it makes sense that he's huge even without Venom
