Just let it all out Cred Forums

>I actually like Uncle Grandpa

>I sat down and watched The Hasbro show that shall not be named and it's actually pretty ok.

Nah, we'll keep it inside and keep bitching about it. What's the point of going in Cred Forums if not that?

You just described the entire internet, actually.

...

Not even wrong about the Family Guy thing. I went to a friends house and he started playing a newer episode of Family Guy, and I actually made up an excuse to leave.

For a while I thought there might've been something wrong with me. I mean, I can't even look at an Family Guy, American Dad, and Le Scotland Hour without being reminded of the shitty art style, the terribly written jokes and the painful liberal views.

I think it stems from my absolute disdain for Seth McFuckhead

Thought bubbles > caption boxes.

I'm sick and tired of all the anti-Steven Universe threads we get every single day. People often complain about non-/sug/ threads but recently they're nowhere near as prominent as the ones trying to shot on the show.

Many cartoons like the old PPG haven't aged well despite what nostalgiafags would like you to think.

Sunset pone is a better choice for Twilight pone's student than Starlight. I actually hope we get to see more Equestria Girls one day.

> Nick Spencer's Avengers World & Secret Avengers was absolutely fucking awesome to me. So now his current liberal propaganda turn is horrific on a level undreamed.

I don't have much of a reason to come here anymore. I'm not really reading the same comics Cred Forums does anymore. I'm pretty much just getting Island and Shade the Changing Girl as far as floppies go, and I don't care about superhero movies at all. It's weird though since I've been coming here since 2008 but it's just not the same anymore.

I'm in the same situation. I enjoy the format, the anonymous discussion, the rapid replies, but I don't really care about 90% of what the Big Two are doing (and therefore 90% of what Cred Forums is discussing). Oh well, I can usually find at least _one_ thread per day that keeps me entertained.

Yeah that's what always got me to stay on Cred Forums, the rapid discussion. You can't really get that anywhere else so it's hard to just find another forum for comics that'll talk about the stuff I'm interested in, because all of them move at a snail's pace.

I like to manipulate people into doing what I want on Cred Forums

>I don't like finding Nemo, who think it's a terrible movie.

I agree with you about Steven Universe, I can't really get into the show much outside of the lore. It's easier to have people remind me that there were new episodes and go back to watch them at this point.

Do people actually say that? I think the truth is very few if anybody actually acts like this.

People like Bojack need to get their head out of their own ass, realize they aren't some uniquely tortured and insightful soul, and understand that pretty much everyone is dealing with stress and unhappiness all the time in their own way every day. I get really tired of these assholes who think they're special snowflakes who know suffering in a sea of happy morons.

I will watch anything and force myself to enjoy it if it's part of a TV/film shared universe if said universe has something I already like.

When would you say it changed? Was there really a time when Cred Forums discussed more indie/alt/foreign comics?

>Was there really a time when Cred Forums discussed more indie/alt/foreign comics?
Not really, but there was a time when Cred Forums was only discussing comics and not live action. And the discussion was held by people who come for comics, not people who come for live action and decide to butt their heads into comic threads. A lot fewer company wars, a lot less politics, a lot less anger, it was pretty good.

You're the worst kind of fan. This kind of attitude just supports the creation of awful shit because people will automatically consume it. Even worse, it degrades the franchise you like because it gets clogged with such shit.

If you like something you should demand works associated with it actually be good. Don't just gobble up anything they put in front of you.

I swear content owners could take a dump in a box and some fans would buy it and rave about it as long as it had the right logo stamped on the front.

I've only been here a few years but I agree that the live-action stuff is poison. It brings out the worst in people, and also drowns out comics fans as you say.

I'm in NYC and go to Comic Con and other cons, and it gets harder each year to find actual comics fans there. Most people come for movie/TV/game stuff. Maybe they also have some interest in comics, but it's not their main focus.

I can always think of something for these threads, but when the thread is actually here I draw a blank.

I'm sick of Cred Forums for multiple reasons, from it distracting me to the general negativity that I shouldn't be getting involved in, but /tg/ is the only place I've found where I can have half-decent tabletop discussion.

Cred Forums is terrible bait central that I only come to out of habit.

So now you're just off-topic blogging about your personal life. Fuck off.

I want to crossdress and go into a club but I'm scared of people finding out.

I am?

I wanna transition genders, but I'm to scared of being associated with a lot of shit.

>A lot fewer company wars, a lot less politics, a lot less anger, it was pretty good.

This shit has gotten so bad it's unbelievable. Everyone fucking thread:

>Post in any way involving women, minorities, or even remotely related to politics
>a few comments discussing actual issue, story, character, etc.
>FUCK THIS SJW BULLSHIT
>FUCK YOU BACK TO Cred Forums
>repeat X1000

Or:
>post discussing [COMPANY]
>a few comments discussing actual issue, story, character, etc. in post
>FUCK YOU [COMPANY SHILL]
>FUCK YOU [OTHER COMPANY] KEK
>repeat x1000

I like posting the old still-photo [adult swim] bumps on occasion. I'll make a whole thread dedicated to them, but only occasionally, mostly because I like them so much, and it kinda makes me happy, and I know some other anons enjoy them to. Auto-sage kinda ruins it, though, if I'm the only one posting in the thread, since it goes away pretty quickly.

Still, it's enjoyable, and seeing those bump images gives me a chill feeling of nostalgia and a little serenity, honestly. I don't really know why.

Where did you find those adult swim bump images?

There was that one time way back when when Cred Forums was way into French stuff.
Where my Melusine fans at?

>I've read very few comics compared to Cred Forums (I've finished maybe 5 trades and probably 10 random floppies). However I pretend I have a vast knowledge of comics to impress my normie friends my good looks makes my "obsession" with comics come off as cute and quirky rather than weird
>If a comic features a female protagonist, I will probably buy it just for that. Pic related, Spider-Gwen, Whor, etc. However Ive never read them despite owning them

I guess you can tl;dr this as "My dick has a spending problem."

Although, I've been working on it and have begun chipping away at my collection.

SU belong to Cred Forums

Partly just searched for Adult Swim bumps on Google, which led me to some things like the original artists, and I found some wallpaper-sized images like the one I posted.

If I can't find certain ones, though, I'll just screencap a video.

>>SU is starting to lose me. The "progressiveness" is getting on my nerves.
Thanks god I thought I was the only one

>> There are no plot holes in The Dark Knight Rises.

There are not enough weight gain scenes in cartoons anymore.

We used to have "Passion Patties", "The Skinny On Parker", and "Frenchfry".

>Cred Forums would be a god-tier board if not for waifufaggotry

Maybe this is just the wrong board for that stuff? I bet you'd get more traction on your threads on other boards.

Grammar Nazis need to come back. I'm sick of deciphering text just to answer someone.

Almost every board would be better if said faggotery didn't exist. I mean it ruined Cred Forums forever and it also infected a lot of other boards. Cred Forums organism is just more prone to this kind of infection, that's why is getting ruined faster by the waifu virus.
There's no cure for it. Shit is worse than AIDS.

If you're worried about reading a comic and finding out that it contradicts your Wikipedia knowledge, you could try reading indie comics that aren't well-known and so don't impress any normies. For example, Love & Rockets is a pretty good series starring cute girls doing cute things, and reading it won't upset any preconceived notions that you might hold about it.

This board should be just about comics. A lot of problems with the board (waifufaggotry and the like) would be resolved if cartoons were on their own separate board (or just gotten rid of entirely, I really don't care which).

>Same for Danny Phantom

But the ending was festering shit.

I'd just retcon the third season as a whole.

The anti-SU fags are worse than the SU fags at this point.

>Implying waifufaggotry is the only problem Cred Forums has.

I think there's something mentally wrong with anyone who likes South Park. As in, an actual brain problem.

Ha ha, no. You're dumb. Ban the Cred Forums, that's enough.

But then there's still comics movies. What do we do about them? Send them all to Cred Forums?

I'm finally on board with this solution. We must salvage what remains of the board.

>Ha ha, no. You're dumb. Ban the Cred Forums, that's enough.

You ever notice it's only cartoons that get general threads? That it's cartoons that bring the bulk of waifufaggotry? That it's cartoons that bring out the absolute worst of Cred Forums?

Cred Forums should go, yes, but cartoons are just as bad if not worse.

Send them all to Cred Forums, anyone who wants to talk about how actors fucking suck for roles should be going there anyway.

>Send them all to Cred Forums?
Cred Forums doesn't want that shit either. We need a new board to contain it.

To be fair shilling is a legit problem with popular boards like Cred Forums, but the mentality bleeds into places where it's incredibly uncommon like Cred Forums. It's also way more obvious and easier to tell on Cred Forums too, so I don't know why people freak out. Probably just trying to use buzzwords to slander something they don't like.

I'm a very liberal person, I self identify as a feminist, and I like steven universe in large part BECAUSE of it's progressive liberal agenda

I didn't read the manga in order.
I read Multiversity in order.

I think they'll be just fine.

I'm so tired of Marvel's shit that I can't bring myself to buy any of their comics.
I mean, I have the first three trades of Simonson's Thor run, but I just fucking cannot support them right now, not even to complete the set.
Is it stupid? Maybe. But just hearing the name makes me cringe these days.

I want the pain to end.

>content owners could take a dump in a box and some fans would buy

As long as it's canon.

I remember when I said making a /fur/ and a /cod/ would clean up so much bullshit. And everyone laughed.

And now we have /aco/ and /trash/ and suddenly everyone on Cred Forums's a lot less bitchy. Whodathunk that if you give people places to post and talk porn of a western variety that suddenly things would improve.

But did you check the Indicia?

The Cartoon Cartoons are fucking uninspired garbage and are the reason modern Cartoon Network sucks so much, because all the shows nowadays are taking the worst attributes of shows like Powerpuff Girls and Ed, Edd 'n Eddy and amplifying them x100

We used to have more variety in cartoon threads before the Cred Forums. Now everything gets buried by live action shit threads unless it's a current show with fans willing to pile any and all thoughts into one juggernaut of a thread. Generals are the symptom, not the cause.

And don't feed that waifu shit to me, there's always a butts thread or a gay thread. You can't discuss She-Hulk or Dick Grayson or god help us, the Power Pack without idiots perving on them.

Fuck board splitting. This is the one decent board to discuss cartoons anywhere on the internet. I've been to Cartoon Brew and Toon Zone and John K.'s blog and they all suck ass. I'll be goddamned before I'll give that up to some dumb faggot who thinks we need thirty more threads about Man of Steel. I'm not really here for comics but sometimes I learn about stuff I read as a kid, or a new one worth investigating. I'm not going to get that any more if my main interest gets locked out in favor of fools screaming about which box office universe had a bigger gate take.

This board is for drawn art, whether a sequential comic or an animated cartoon. If it ain't drawn, it don't belong. Live action goes in Cred Forums.

Power Pack is such a cute, light hearted, innocent comic. I just want to have ONE thread without pedos showing up and ruining it.

Family Guy was never good

the first two seasons, first season more than second, are legit funny.

>progressiveness

SU has many flaws but this isnt one of them. They actually do the social justice stuff suprisingly well

>ftw the pedomophiles are reading my comment right now

Waifufagging is one of the many cancers that make me lose interest in many Cred Forums threads.

I used to visit the Loud House threads people made when the show first came out (back then the waifufaghing wasn't everything there was to TLH) but not anymore. All everyone wants to do now is be a pedophile.

>/cod/
We didn't need a western /d/. /d/ was doing just fine covering BOTH eastern AND western fetishes. But now /aco/ is too clogged up with fetish shit, so there's no room for vanilla and non-porn.

I just want a place to storytime some non-porn but-still-NSFW comics. Like this one. Look, he has a penis. I could get banned for this.

>taking the worst attributes of shows like EEnE and PPG and amplifying them

Which attributes? I see no links between, say, original PPG and Gumball, Regular Show, SU (besides primarily female main characters) or TTG.

I think most people do find some sort of regular happiness in their lives and if you honestly believe what you just typed then you are probably more like BoJack than you want to admit.

I honestly feel like over half the webcomics that get a thread on here with every update only became known on here because their creators pushed threads themselves.

Some of them I think the creator still creates threads for it when they update.

Anti-Fandom fags tend to be as bad if not worse than Fandom fags over time.

We should have kicked the pedos to /aco/ with the rest of the pervs.

>Complaining about "plot armor"

You do understand how dull shows would be if protagonists got killed by random goons right?

Im 30 years old and Steven Universe is one of the most beautifull things Ive ever seen on tv.

Im usually a guys guy but seeing the Divine Feminine in SU makes tears fall from my eyes involuntarily. The messages are so beautiful and it makes me wish that good like that was more prevalent in the real world.

God, I hate Rusty (the character, not the comic).

Yeah, but there are intelligent ways to get around that. Plot armor is when the writer either bullshits around, or completely ignores, the fact that a situation should be life-threatening.

Family Guy is so goddamn irritating aesthetically. Every single fucking shot is people standing on a completely flat plane doing the same canned animations. They do the same fucking hand motions every time. It looks so fucking lazy.

MacFarlane is also a horrid VA. He has an amazing range of voices but gives the exact same delivery for every one. The EXACT same delivery.

It literally gives me a headache. Even if I enjoy the writing like in American Dad that trash animation and Seth's fucking voice ruin it for me.

Leafie: A Hen Into the Wild is one of, if not THE best animated movie to come out in the past ten years and it's a damn shame that its localization was butchered to shit.

Over the Garden Wall is a masterpiece. I really hope CN and its competitors took note and are going to produce more short, single season TV series, because I'm getting kind of sick of long runners like AT, SU, TMNT, etc. that only manage to live long enough to become shit.

Cred Forums's SU's anti-fandom is particularly bad. There's like six hate threads a day and several other unrelated threads that get derailed.

Like, I'm not huge on the show either. I'm not defending it. I just want these idiots to shut the hell up.

SU's anti-fandom is Undertale-tier, whereas anyone posting anything vaguely related to SU/Undertale throws them into a triggered autistic meltdown where they just HAVE to state how much they fucking HATE Undertale/SU SO FUCKING MUCH.

Teen Titans Go! is a good show. I like it over the original. I'm 25 years old.

TMNT 2k3 is still not only the best TMNT cartoon, but the best 4kids show and one of the best early 2000 cartoons. Utrom Shredder was a brilliant writing twist and is the best Shredder Psychopathic alien > Angry ninja

I called in my 10 year old sister thinking she would agree with you, but even she says that Teen Titans Go! is "poopy" and that Teen Titans, which she has never seen, has "better graphics"

I fear for the day that Cred Forums will finally annoy me to the point of leaving Cred Forums. I browse other boards and I like them to a certain degree, but this place is my anchor. Without it, I'll just leave.

And you can't tell them to shut up because then they start braying "LOL BUTTHURT /SUG/FAG"

This, if you genuinely believe there is more suffering than joy in life, and that there will be even more suffering in the future there's no reason to not kill yourself desu.

Ever since I was a kid I've never really liked the DC heroes apart from Supes. To this day he and maybe comics featuring him are pretty much the only things DC I read. And believe me, I've tried reading others.

I'm looking forward to Clone Conspiracy.

To this day ASM is still the comic I look forward to the most every week/month.

ASM became more interesting post-OMD up until #700.

Slott isn't particularly bad, just dull.

Spiderfags can seriously be the absolute worst fucking cancer on this board sometimes, especially MJfags/marriagefags. And the threads are total echo chambers.

Silver Age Batman > modern Batman

>inb4 go to sleep Slott/Quesada hur hur

Nah, I agree with you to a point. Marvel is pretty disgusting with all of their "Hey, look at me!" bait marketing, especially the Captain America "Hail Hydra" moment that damn near everyone fell for, despite it being an obvious comic book bait-and-switch.

Then you've got them shoving movie tie-ins up the ass, which are all awful because of how ham-fisted it is, since the comics pretty much only exist to market for the movies now. The creativity of the writing and art teams are virtually moot now, confined more to the rails than they have been before, it seems like.

It's all very disappointing.

Rick and Morty feels smug to me, and that makes it impossible to watch. I know that "smug" is a totally worthless, unquantifiable criticism, but its the only word I can think of

The first two seasons of Small Colourful Horse Show That Cannot Be Referred To By Name are great

I can't stand South Park after season 3 or 4, even though that's when everyone says it starts to get good. I disagree with about 90% of Stone and Parker's politics, so that's probably why

The Lion King is tedious and cloying with a completely horrible message

People posting sexual fanart of kid's cartoon characters annoys me, even though it probably shouldn't

I immediately lose respect for anyone who says the word "waifu", even ironically, despite my best attempts not to. It's completely ruined 90% of anime discussion across the internet and it's disheartening to see it enter even more widespread use

I feel the same with /tg/, but I actually kinda do selfishly wish /tg/ would shut down so that I can escape Cred Forums. I waste too much time on here.

>less image threads

So fucking tired of Cred Forums and everybody being 15 year old with aspergers and racist tourettes. I mean it have always been like this but at least there were more pics here then.
The discussions are insufferable but the pics threads are gone...

I've gotten really lonely after moving out for college. I doubt that I'm depressed, but I don't know how to deal with things.

We're in a rotation of annoyance. Right now we're in Anti-Fandom Waxing, which will soon peak at Full Anti-Fandom Bitchfest (getting close now, but not quite there yet). Eventually we'll get into Anti-Fandom Waning and concurrently have to deal with Fandom Waxing.

I think the word you're looking for is pretentious, not smug. And yeah I agree.

I thought of a few more

>Someone says something
>I disagree
>"Lol, you're just a butthurt x-fag"

I hate that bullshit so much. I can't like what I want to like? I'm a grown ass man, I can do what I want.

>New episode of popular show comes out
>Everyone loves it
>I didn't really
>"B'aww you just hate the show!"

This is particularly true of /sug/.

>Fandoms and anti-fandoms

They're both a bunch of morons clamoring to a love/hate of something and get fucking assblasted the moment you mention it without thinking.

How two groups can be so alike and hate eachother so much is beyond me.

This is particularly true of anti-/sug/

>I tried to watch Samurai Jack but somehow I don't enjoy that show

I can't state I find an episode or series too mean unless I want to be pelted with "M-MUH MORALFAG LMAO NO SENSE OF HUMOR" replies.

It's true, though. I'm no moralfag but there's plenty of shows that are just one cringefest after another. I know humor is subjective, and that's why entire episodes/shows of one character suffering fall flat to me. It's unpleasant. Cringe isn't funny, it's cringe.

>You just don't like the show

I may be guilty of this, tho not that phrase exactly, but its more about people bringing up retarded points about why they didn't like something that sets me against them not the fact that they didn't like it.

Like that guy who said he didn't like the Bismuth special because it was a " guns are bad" episode, I just have to tell that guy he's a retard

I didn't really like the Bismuth episode because it was kind of pointless. You bring in a new character, make an eyecatch, hype it up and everything just to KILL HER OFF?

Also, I just plain don't like Bismuth's design. I don't know why, but I don't.

I think it partly comes from a reaction derived from how a lot of anons hate on something almost solely because its popular, and not really forming their own opinion beyond that. So, whenever an user says they don't like something that is generally liked, it's often assumed it's the anti-popular group.

That's where it comes from whenever I see it, anyway; I very rarely respond to posts where someone says they don't like something, though, because the reasons can be broken down to:
>Bait
>Contrarian
>Person who has different preferences than me
So it's just generally not worth responding to, unless it's to ask why.

Learned another one of Rose's secrets, saw an oldfag cg, Steven got to learn about the rebellion and we got a cool fight

>Colored Horses are friends

Someone somewhere in the fandom did or said something stupid so therefore, the source material is bad.

Cred Forums's (and by extension Cred Forums's) knee jerk hate bullshit really gets on my nerves. It all amounts to "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE"

I understand that much, but Bismuth (the character) existed as a framing device and nothing more. It really irked me that she existed just to die (or bubbled, whatever)

Shows about characters suffering can be the most empathetic shows of all, though, since they require you to relate/sympathize with the victim to some degree to find it funny.

Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow is my personal favorite Superman story.

DCEU shitposting is annoying, at least with MCU stuff they'll talk about it then stop eventually. We've been having the same MoS and BvS shit for years now.

If Garth Ennis toned down the edginess and actually enjoyed other capes besides Superman, then he might be the best writer in the medium today.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is a better Western Cartoon than most Western Cartoons today.

Zack Snyder is the Rob Liefeld of film making,

Superman remains the definitive superhero.

Amazing World of Gumball is the funniest show on Cartoon Network next to Teen Titans Go! I'm serious.

Curt Swan is my favorite comic book artist.

Mark Hamill is the nicest guy ever.

Despite that the fact I haven't seen Steven Universe, I think it's good that movies like Zootopia and shows like SU are teaching children about modern day issues.

Manga and comics are the same thing.

Road to Perdition is the best comic book movie.

Mystery Men is the best superhero movie.

Civil War > Winter Soldier. Civil War was also the best Avengers movie.

Cred Forums manages to simultaneously be the most annoying and the most enjoyable comic community I've ever interacted with and it annoys me.

>I think SU has a ton of potential that is continuosly squandered because the show can't decide whether it wants to be a slice of life comedy about a kid in a small town or a lore driven story about aliens on earth. Also the writing sucks ass.

>Dr. Doom is my favorite comic "villain" because of the blend of presentation and personality. He's a selfish dick and he'll let you know it.

>I legitimately thought WoY was the best cartoon currently airing, even with any flaw I might think it had.

>I never watched any Avatar.

>I miss Class of 3000.

But the problem is that they're not about these characters. These shows always focus on irritating main characters instead of the abusee.

Legend of Korra was good excluding season 2.

Marvel is currently treating its teenage heroes better than DC.

2003 Teen Titans cartoon handled some things better than the comics.

'

I don't understand why Rebirth is so fellated by Cred Forums. I've read each and every one of the books so far and I find them all mediocre with the exception of Deathstroke. Flintstones is DC's best comic and it's not even part of Rebirth.

>inb4 hurr durr Marvelfag
I don't read anything from them except Vision and Ultimates.

Obviously this is a pretty difficult topic to discuss without specific shows since we've probably got totally different reference pools of shows, but I think even when the victim is a secondary character, it can still be empathetic. Look at (early) Spongebob - Squidward gets shit on constantly but he's usually played as being the most "normal" and sympathetic character.

I can think of some shows where the writers don't seem to realize how mean-spirited their scripts are, though, so point taken.

Cred Forums sees things as black and white. Marvel's big titles are bad right now and DC's are okay so Cred Forumsmrades see Marvel as a steaming pile of shit and DC as a gift from Heaven above. I wonder if any of these company war fags were even around during the Nu52 launch.

>steven universe is literal ass cancer and it probably gave me ass cancer in real life because ever since I started watching it I've pooped blood and no solids

You should see a doctor.

>SU

Glimpses of brilliance hindered by SJW nonsense.

On a related note, I don't understand why Cred Forums praises N52/Suicide Squad Harley. She's so annoying and a bastardization of a legit funny and sympathetic character introduced in the Animated Series.

>inb4 lel butthurt BTAS-fag

>Cred Forums praises N52/Suicide Squad Harley
Are you delusional? Not Muh Harley might as well be the board's motto.

Not from where I've seen. Board after board of people sucking new Harley's dick.

Unless a doctor can prevent me from going to the liquor store, I don't.

desuarchive.org/_/search/text/new 52 harley/
There's basically nothing positive.

Then I have the shittiest (un)luck of the draw ever.

I come here mostly for story times and episode megas.

I liked SU at first but as OP said it progressiveness started getting a little in the way, also most episodes now have been horrible.

Marvel is absolutely trash tier right now and i don't think it has a single decent comic aside from the current ghost rider, which is not horrible but i hate him not being a Spooky skeleton.

Every single iteration of harley quin aside from her original one were all awful.

Superior spiderman was the best spider comic, the premise and execution of all issues was fucking great and i honestly wish peter had never came back. The Superior Foes Of Spider-Man was also fucking awesome.

Bobs Burger is not that bad of a show.

I think anyone who supports shit like The Legend of Korra is an absolute retard or have the shiftiest of tastes, that show had zero redeeming qualities aside from the porn, but you can make porn out of everything so it is not much.

The Loud House is one of the best cartoons right now and everyone should give it a go, some episodes are better than others though.

Cartoon Network is dead.

I hate Rick and Morty
Everyone sucks that shows dick for being different when the whole old man and young kids go to different worlds has been done a hundred times. Don't fucking tell me it's a parody or a genre deconstruction you pretentious twat, that doesn't make it any less uninspired.
Morty is literally the blandest character in the history of fiction. There isn't a single thing interesting about him. I get that some characters are made to be uninteresting so they have that everyman appeal and so everyone can relate to him but he's inhumanly plane, to the point that even if anyone could relate to him, why would you? Why would you want to feel in anyway connected to someone so goddamn talentless and unimpressive?
And don't even get me started on Rick. He's the single most wanted off character in all of history. He's a self insert for every 13 year old kid that thinks he's smarter than everyone else because he's an atheist and reads dystopia novels. He's a nihilist jackass who abuses and belittled those around him and the show praises him for it every single chance he gets. Any character that doesn't kiss the ground he walks on gets killed or treated like garbage.
It's stories and character relationships are so contrived and unnatural it's like it was made by aliens or brainwashed cultists.
The show is garbage, and is only saved by its unfiltered dialogue because people just can't seem to let go of that idea that cartoons with curse words in them are some kind of forbidden fruit, memes, and the rarest occasion of something funny happening.
The show is shit, and you're delusional for thinking otherwise.

*wanked off

Thank you for saying that.

>Rick and Morty feels smug to me, and that makes it impossible to watch. I know that "smug" is a totally worthless, unquantifiable criticism, but its the only word I can think of
Well, you'd be wrong.

It just parodies shit. Maybe you don't like parodies in general.

That's true of any Weekenders thread, too. Can't have one thread of it without pedos hijacking the topic.

fucking this
and when you do have this type of opinion, people just call you mr.enter and as said before a moralefag. Like what? some of the most hated episodes in cartoons are hated because of their mean spirted nature/unfair bullshit, what are you talking about my dude?

>people just call you mr.enter

Mentioning Mr. Enter should be a bannable offense. It'd really help in weeding out all the fucking retards who can't form any actual arguments or opinions.

I think anyone who supports shit like The Legend of Korra is an absolute retard or have the shiftiest of tastes, that show had zero redeeming qualities aside from the porn, but you can make porn out of everything so it is not much.
this all the way, and comparing it to the original, it doesn't stand a chance, hell, comparing it to most modern cartoons today it doesn't stand a chance

>Bobs Burger is not that bad of a show.
i have literally never seen anyone on Cred Forums hate Bob's Burgers, i think it's great tbqh

>The Loud House is one of the best cartoons right now and everyone should give it a go, some episodes are better than others though.
also fucking this, for real, if ya haven't seen it do it now, it's pretty good

the thing is, i don't even think mr.enter is even that bad. I've seen a few of his shit, and honestly, he's not that bad, and the shit he does review IS usually shit. maybe it's his voice that pisses people off, idk

Batman versus Superman is my second favorite superhero movie and Eisenberg as Luthor is my favorite superhero movie villain. I'm also looking forward to WW and really looking forward to JL

Big Hero 6 is my favorite movie of all time

I'm a massive waifu fag

Incidentally, The only comic I currently follow on a regular basis is Ms. Marvel

I write shipping fanfiction

I dislike every iteration of Harley Quinn except for the one in SS because Margo Robbie is great.

Shipping is the cancer killing cartoon discussion on this board. Take a look at Voltron for example, when it first launched, we actually had some good threads discussing the actual show. Now any thread that pops up is nothing but shipping faggotry and fanfiction of the worst kind.

You might be thinking
>BUT user, IF IT WEREN'T FOR SHIPPING, NO ONE WOULD TALK ABOUT THE SHOW! SHIPPING'S THE ONLY THING KEEPING THE THREADS ALIVE
And that's exactly my point, shipping artificially lengthens the life of show discussion to the point where it turns the entire fanbase into cancer and no kind of actually civil, relevant discussion can happen again without being drowned in I WANT TO TIE SHIRO TO A BED AND WHIP HIS ASS UNTIL HE BLEEDS I WONDER WHAT PIDGE'S ARMPITS SMELL LIKE.

I vote that whoever replaces Hiroshimoot instates a new board, /wh/ - Waifus and Hazubandos, where any and all shipping, waifufaggotry, husbandofaggotry and general lusting for cartoon/comic/video game/anime/etc. characters would be moved to, and all the other boards would have hard rules against shipping threads and waifu/husbando threads.

And it's even worse when it goes full meta and showrunners see the shippers and figure out they're their target audience and start pandering to them, see Adventure Time for a prime example.

These fucking hormonaly dysfunctional teenagers are starting to piss me off.

SU had the greatest potential out of all CN shows, but the people who direct the show fucked it up.
Gumball was at its worst at Season 1. I thought it would die after one season and I'm glad it didn't. It picked up greatly in quality starting with Season 2.
New PPG and Old PPG are equally awful, but for different reasons.
Clarence and WBB should have never been put on CN. They look like those shitty NickToon cartoons.
Regular Show should have died off a lot sooner. I'm surprised to see that people would watch anything past half of Season 3.
AT was never good. It's always been a hit or miss show.
Uncle Grandpa is mediocre as hell. People only started paying attention to it because it was getting canceled.
TLH is grossly overrated. There is nothing exceptional about it

pic related is really good, people who don't like it are nostalgia faggots, faggy hipsters and a child molesting pedophiles/hipsters

okay user, what the fuck do YOU like, i really want to know

I think Cred Forums should give Star Vs a chance. It's one of those shows that I'm so hype for now, that I sing along with the intro.

On one hand half the reason I'll watch a show is for the porn.

On the other hand if the only thing people talk about is shipping then all discussion is dead. Just take Mass Effect for example. All the writers did was write shitty romance bullshit in all their spare time and wank about it on the forums. When ME3 came around it had no story and was overloaded with "poignant character moments"

Recently one of the writers for the new ME game tweeted that nobody showed up for a meeting on what they want the story to be because they were all too busy writing different romance scenes for their characters.

This. This so much. There are so many cartoons today that are flying completely under the radar and shouldn't, and all just because they don't have a little girl character Cred Forums wants to be a ship/waifufag about.

I'll agree that old cartoon network was way better than current cartoon network, but that image fucking pisses me off.

>"THE OLD ONE HAS MORE CHARACTERS SO ITS BETTER"
Only like 25% of the characters in the top image are from CN, if even that.

I only really gave it a chance because Star and Marco is cute as fuck. It tends to push it as far as the "randomness" goes. I mean, yeah, that's her character, she's supposed to be annoying, but I dunno.

>The Hasbro show that shall not be named
People who use this phrase need to be dragged out of their homes and shot in the street. The show is called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I stopped giving a shit about comics or movies after BvS released and now I just visit Cred Forums to check what's the new "thing". i used to visit it everyday but now it's more life once every two weeks.

I didn't do it because I disliked BvS, I did it because it really loved it.

The Amazing World of Gumball is among the worst shows on Cartoon Network. It's so fucking obnoxious and predictable at the same time. The majority of episodes are just
>Gumball (and Darwin) encounters a problem
>Gumball spends the entire episode being a fucking moron and trying to solve the problem his way despite the solution being painfully obvious
>Gumball does the obvious thing and the episode ends
If it's not that, it's just an episode centered on the family, which is, again, predictable and obnoxious. Every one of them is painfully 2D.
>Gumball is an idiot and an asshole
>Darwin is the voice of reason/sidekick
>Anaiese is a genius
>Richard is fat and dumb
>Nicole is angry and smart

The episodes not about them or involving them at all? Great. The setting is good, the side-characters are good, the character designs are good, but EVERYTHING involving the Wattersons is obnoxious and boring. I legitimately don't see how you people put up with it.

a-user you can't say that here!!

I'll agree that Rick is too smug and edgy a lot of the time. He's not like that all the time, but it's pretty obnoxious when he goes on and on about it.

I still like some of the jokes and I like it when Rick isn't being "im the smartest guy in the universe and everyone else is an idiot". I'll agree that it's a little overrated, but I respectfully disagree that it's a bad show.

>he thinks comic books could sustain or warrant a board by themselves

Oh the delusion, you really are a sad little monkey aren't you...half the comic discussion here comes from interest in movies and Death Battle type faggotry

Anyway here are my "things"

SU sucks and it's fanbase is the worst...actually they are tied with the MCU crowd for being worst most obnoxious damage control fags on the planet

Adventure Time was always shit

Agent Venom sucks

Venom rules

Cyclops sucks

MCU is more bad than good

I agree with this, stop pretending MLP is some boogeyman..there are a couple autistic obseesed morons and underaged newfags who still think it's cool to hate bronies because they heard that was the status quo, that's it. Nobody with a brain is triggered by My Little fucking Pony

Superheroes are just as bad as, if not worse, than "zombie apocalypse" in the media.

How the fuck can you get invested in this shit? It's all so fucking dull.

Superheroes give people escape/power/revenge fantasies, it's quite simple you vapid dunce

Zombies are a trend, which, for casuals the same applies to capeshit because they're only into it for the fact that it's "hip", but something tells me you're only on this board for similar reasons so fuck off normie

Just go. Live your lives. If you don't, you'll regret it. Sure you'll have regrets either way, but maybe you'd have those regrets 5000 miles from home in a bed filled with barely legal prostitutes instead of in a basement apartment eating cold spaghetti out of a can.

Look at this guy's face. You think he's sorry he made another shitty movie? Of course he is. He's shared two Academy Awards with three other people. He's tasted greatness but never swallowed it. You think he'd be happier with kids and a divorce living in fucking Boston going to the goddamn office every day and arguing on the internet about why Batman is objectively able to beat everybody with preptime by night? Like fuck. He's living the dream. So what if it's a bad dream? At least he's living it.

>UHH SUPERHEROES ARE POWER FANTASIES THAT MEANS THEY'RE GOOD
I'm aware of the basic idea behind superheroes. That doesn't mean they're good. I'm not gonna sweep all superhero media under the carpet and say it's ALL bad, but everything like Marvel, DC, whatever, is just a boring fucking drag.
>The Good Guys You Already Heard About Millions Of Times fight The Big Bad Guy because he has The Strong Thing!!! WHO'S GONNA WIN???
That's it.
>B-BUT THE MORAL DILEMMAS
They've all been done before and could be done in more interesting ways.

Capeshit provides nothing. Good on you for having a favorite character, I guess, you like what you like, but I just don't see the appeal.

People who try and use deepest lore unironically to hook someone into checking out a piece of media are the worst

Bonus points if it's for a children's cartoon cause "IT'S TOTALLY NOT FOR KIDS THE LORE IMPLIES THERE WAS A BAD THING THAT HAPPENED SO IT'S VERY DARK AND ADULT"

>Slott isn't particularly bad, just dull.
>To this day ASM is still the comic I look forward to the most every week/month.
wut

I'm a newfag and I honest to God thought the MLP thing was just a meme and/or that after all these years the mods were very anal about it

It's one thing if someone's going "oh this lore is too serious and dark for normal people to get, you should check it out" and it's another for someone to enjoy some worldbuilding in their cartoons.

Heart of Ice is the most overrated Cred Forums episode of all time.
The only reason Cred Forums rides it so much is because babys first tragic villain.
It's alright, but nowhere near the Masterpiece people make it out to be.

>I legitimately don't see how you people put up with it
Because they want to fuck the paper bear.

oh no, we gave them that containment board for a reason

the reason is that they're colossal faggots who can't act normal even for a second

The MLP thing is not a meme, it's still a larger fandom than most of the shows discussed on this board. And it is also not just mods being anal, for a while many years ago at this point MLP was so popular that it would disrupt all other threads and trolls would use it to...well, troll people, the creation of /mlp/ was certainly warranted however this was years ago and at this point the only people still triggered by the mere mention of ponies are complete retards living in the past or newfags who think hating MLP is "kewl" without understanding the context behind the fandom or even the hate some people had for it back then

Take this guy for example, he's a retard living in the past who doesn't realize this very board is still populated with tons of "bronies" at every given moment considering this is the cartoon board, and MLP is indeed...a cartoon

Ya'll are fucking overeacting babies about the gravity falls ending. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't as horrifically bad as you all made it out to be.

There is no "progressive agenda" in SU. Just a few episodes with particularly shit writing and a mishandled moral.

Pearl singing "it's over" was fine; she's had development moments before, but none of them were directly about her dealing with rose being gone forever. Her nearly killing steven was close, but it was more about her accepting him being here instead of her.

Breezy was alright; Fire and Ice and Red Throne set the bar so low I don't think anything else will ever come nearly as close.

There are no good seasons of Superjail; the first is the least worst because it was a great mix of janky, near fluid animation, and edgy for the purpose of being brutal on a stupid scale, not just by the checkbook violence with a few scenes to try and one up themselves.

Sgt Hatred ruined Venture Bros for me; he more or less fully exposed the unbreakable status quo that I hadn't notice them following forever.

Stan recovering his memories is the worst Disney cop out I've ever seen; not just because it exists just to have the "everything's k" Disney end, but it actually raises the issue that Bill hasn't actually been defeated. It invalidates the sacrifice entirely.

The Inquisitor was too good a villain throw away at the end of season 1. Also those spinny lightsabers were fucking retarded. I fucking defended Kylo Ren's ineffective guards, but spinny blades are just stupid.

Fucking hell I think there's something wrong with me, or I just need to vent more often.

>Nobody with a brain is triggered by my little pony

I agree with this. We separate to it's own board? That's so dumb. And why? Because of a cancerous fandom? What's that got to do with the source material? It's a show about cartoon horses and Cred Forums needs to get the fuck over it.

>MLP is indeed...a cartoon

for faggots

with its own containment board

and this kind of retarded blame shifting from the horsefuckers to literally everybody else is exactly why they were banished to their shitpost pit

where they post all day about how much they want to fuck imaginary equines

See? These kind of threads are good for you.

How's that the show's fault? It's about cartoon horses made by the very same people Cred Forums fawns over.

Get over yourself.

Yuh huh, sure thing SUG, I'll be buying my ticket to MLP the movie next year...your sjw show won't make it to 7 seasons, I'll put money on that. Stay salty.

>Because of a cancerous fandom?

The fandom is not nearly as cancerous as people make it out to be...especially in light of more recent, far more cancerous fandoms that have sprouted in the wake of that show.

You have to think of the times too...at the time MLP was the only real "girl" show with a fandom...these days there are plenty that might not be quite as focused on the characters being girls, but are certainly within the aesthetic of "girls shows" even more in some ways, and back then tough guys felt tough to call people gay who liked a show with bright colors and light whimsical fantasy elements....now it's basically a rule of thumb for a popular cartoon

Everyone has their hole to fill user. I'm right there with you. Alone, but not quite depressed. At least we've got this place.

This is why I liked Special Edition NYCC. They ran it for two years and focused it around comics only. But the next one isn't yet scheduled and I fear it's because it isn't profitable.

This

That first spoiler makes sense since they imply he isn't dead anyway. But I agree, it really took the emotional weight out of everything

I love this board and I don't know where I'd go without it.

Marvel doesn't even have any Ghost Rider comics coming out, currently.
It's an interesting contrast to DCYou. DCYou had some truly great titles, but a lot of truly abhorrent shit (Wonder Woman, Flash, Deathstroke, late-game Justice League and so-on). Rebirth has few comics that truly excel, but also few that are really terrible, even the poor ones are more dull than anything, and the baseline average is still enjoyable, if not memorable. Plus it's brought the quality of previously disliked writers up , by an extent (Humphries, Percy, I'd argue Venditti). In the end, it depends on if one is looking for the truly great, or the purely enjoyable, although even in the case of the former, DC has YA, HB, Vertigo and some interesting minis, putting out stuff that could truly excel.

I'm buying less and less comics so I can buy JoJonium volumes. I haven't even read them, I just like having the hardcover books on my shelf. I read JoJo online for free.

I still haven't read like a third of my Mignolaverse trades. I got confused about Hellboy's arc lore when I forgot most of it.

Rick And Morty is the most enjoyable cartoon I've seen in years. I have faith in the third season.

But Cred Forums was always like that. That shit never stopped for having Geass sundays or Samurai flamenco threads.

Seriously, I don't think cape comics are for me anymore. I was a huge Ultimate Marvel nerd as a kid up until my teenage years, read a shit ton of X-Men and Spider-Man, but I haven't caught on with any current comic in years and every time I hear of or see a modern DC/Marvel comic here, none of them appeal to me and the few I've read during storytimes were meh as fuck.

I am Cred Forums crossboarder and i actually perfer anime to cartoons and manga to comics.

Where do you think you are?

I'm desperately trying to think of a way the Three Jokers thing works, because if they could do it it'd be brilliant, but I literally can't make sense of it.

bruh, Get Swicfty was the best episode of Rick and Morty, IDGAF what any of y'all said, that episode was the best, i don't know why everyone get's so triggered about it

MLP:FIM is pretty good tbqh and i can't wait for glimmer's suicide squad

Cred Forums isn't the worst board, there are like, 12 other boards in front of us that are definitely worse than us, we just get the brunt of that bullshit for some reason

Bubbline is complete and utter cancerous bullshit and i hate how Cred Forums has just come to accept that bullshit

Korra is a horrible show, there is no reason anyone should defend that shit

it's because Mr. Enter is a HUGE moralfag and a autistic mongoloid

>bruh, Get Swicfty was the best episode of Rick and Morty, IDGAF what any of y'all said, that episode was the best,

I can't even comprehend how someone would think this.

>this same victim complex every single thread

why not just wear a sign that says "please make fun of what shitty shows I like"

this tbqh

im so sick of gumfags acting like their shit doesnt stink. there is nothing remarkable about that show, its just the same tired tropes (dumb dad/son, smart females, forced love interests) that were already done by a gazillion other shows.

I'll take company wars over politics any day

desu, Darwin acts like a Cred Forumsro faggot

I'll take none.

I think it was the neweat iteration of ghost rider, the one with the mexican kid with the retarded brother.

Mah nigga.

But Ive seen people on Cred Forums shitting on Bobs burger several times for some reason, maybe it was coincidence.

Beach City Drift was the worst episode in the series.

Ranting of a Marvel Fag

>I am a liberal bisexual man and I fucking loathe the majority of Marvel's Comics as most of their minority or LGBT characters are literally 'I am [insert group]'. I want to see some characters with fucking personality! I want to read stories that are driven by them, not their goddamn environment.

>The thing that pisses me off the most about Whor is that it isn't the same old Thor in a female body. I mean, it's magic right? Be a bit creative for god's sake.

>I believe that Abnett and Landing are the most underappreciated writers in the industry and that for what he has done to their work, Bendis should never touch their characters again.

>Aaron is worse than Bendis in my eyes. Nothing that Aaron has done apart from Scalped has made me feel any sort of respect for the man. I honestly think the only reason that he isn't more hated than Bendis is that he doesn't have any more major titles apart from Doctor Strange and Thor.

>I honestly think that rape and other forms of sexual abuse are less amoral than things like murder and that comics shouldn't be afraid to show them.

>I think that the Inhumans have a lot of potential story wise. It is just the Nuhumans who are fucking shit up at the moment.

>I honestly hope to god that Marvel takes note from DC and takes some goddamn risks about their titles.

>Also New X-Men>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Young X-Men>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WATXM

I love the bait. I love shitposting popular shows. I hate how 20-year old spergs have turned the animation community into, "It's not REAL animation unless it has DEEP LORE AND AT LEAST ONE GAY CHARACTER!" and "Isn't it SOOOO deep they made a callback to season 1? Wow!" that I'm happy to see people shit on things like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe because no other fucking website will do it. And I like those shows, I'm just fucking sick of this attitude that stuff like SU or Adventure Time is inherently better than something like Clarence because of some bullshit reason.

And I'm not saying the animation community was great at one point. About 5+ years ago, the animation community was obsessed with "It's not REAL animation unless it's CARTOONY LIKE BOB CLAMPETT!" with John K's blog at its peak in terms of popularity. I'm just saying this phase seems to be slightly more insufferable.

TG is the only "OK" board on this entire website, and would be even better if Quest threads fucked off to their own containment pit.

>>I believe that Abnett and Landing are the most underappreciated writers in the industry
Overrated you mean
>their characters
whoa there, buddy.

I liked Spider-man TAS' opening better than X-men's.

I stopped watching SU because of Beach City Drift

Don't get me wrong, I was already hanging on by a thread and I watched it like a month after everyone else when I was catching up on episodes.

>glimmer's suicide squad
um it's clearly going to be glimmer's Titans East, come on this is Cred Forums that is a WAY better match

>4-5 bitching threads on at any given time

Totally warranted autism.

Superbro is the best version of Superman.

Anyone else agree?

you'll grow out of it

Nope. But he's better than Fartbirth Supes.

Wow, strawman central. Who the fuck says any of that?

>fartbirth

Ew52 fags still can't insult superior books with any finesse

Cred Forums is an alright board.

Capeshit flicks are by far the worst part of the board.

SU-faggots are bad, but they still don't derail as many threads as anti-su fags. But a lot of it is the fault of oversensitive su-fags rushing to the defense of the show constantly and helping the shitposters derail the thread. What I'm getting at here is that the general exists for a reason, and the board gets worse, not better when it's removed. /hsg/ set a terrible precident for shows on hiatus.

SU is a good show that Cred Forums pretends is bad everytime we enter a townie arc. There are some bad episodes, sure, but the show as a whole is well constructed, and has magaed to keep up a level of consistency beyond what GF was able to do.

In 5 years once this culture war hysteria wears off people are going to regard SU as one of the better shows from this time.

DCU fags and anto-DCU fags are the worst party in the capeshit debate. It's just like with AU- One group likes to shit on it constantly, the other gets russled so hard when people hate on it they shitpost the thread into oblivion with autistic arguements.

Anime/manga are better than comics/cartoons. Straight up. For all the moeshit and ln shit clogging up the mediums these days, even from a purely technical level they are more advanced than the West in terms of understanding the medium of animation, and the lack of restrictions on them allows them to deal with topics that wouldn't be allowed in the West. At the same time, there are many subjects that anime refuses to go into, which the west would be better at exploring if we ever got off our assses

CGI is the future of animation. Once we can get shit looking like Ladybug on a regular basis we'll see it become a cancer of sorts.

Loud House isn't that good. Any potential the premise had was soiled by the 2D nature of the family and the autistic insistence of focusing on Lincoln's friends.

>superior books
Where?

Go and read the inferior ones up your arse Superho faggot wanker

And here you see an example of

Mr. Enter is decent. All the overly preachy moralfag stuff bothers the hell out of me when done poorly but the only things I really hate about his content are the cringe skits he did in his earlier years and the way he straight up attacks certain writers.

Lel why are you so mad?

Faggot is a bad word you h*cking nigger cunt.

I used to be incredibly guilty of this, but people need to actually READ THE FUCKING COMICS before forming an unfounded opinion on any character/event. I mean seriously, do your due diligance and don't be a douche.

>Unrelated Note
Is Brian Reed's Ms. Marvel or Kelly Sue Deconnick's Captain Marvel worth any of my time or are they both garbage?

I dont know i am 28 now and i have been watching anime for 16 years now. My dad still watches anime and he is like 66

>I've been visiting Cred Forums since 2007 and I think i'm finally growing out of it. I haven't visited Cred Forums in a year or so and i'm visiting Cred Forums a lot less.

I hope you get out. I have been here since 2004 but atleast i have job now

I have to agree, despite how much I still like the show.
The family orientated episodes are just boring as shit. The Penny relationship is also annoying and predictable as hell. Her powers aren't even interesting since Clayton can already do the exact same thing and more. The show only shines when they use other characters for their plots and even then, some of the more exposed side-characters are becoming boring. They need to stop shoving characters like Alan, Tobias, Penny, and Carrie down our throats and let the other characters have their chance to shine. Characters like William need more screen time, but they'll never get to. The show just tries to play it safe way too much and it really does hurt the potential it could have.

>I think CG is just another medium of animation now, capable of great or appalling shit, depending on how it's used
>The Loud House looks bland as fuck and the fans here are obnoxious twats
>I'm all for abolishing GR15 just for BTFOing Barneyfag.

I probably would've ended more SJW/leftist if it wasn't for Cred Forums

It's been commonly said since fucking Adventure Time, man. Why do you think people shat on Uncle Grandpa during the SU crossover?

>Thunderbirds Are Go is one of the best cartoon airing nowadays and Cred Forums hardly talks about it

Anyone who call Cred Forums the worst board has never truly browsed Cred Forums

I like e celebs like mr.enter and pan, i just don't want them being posted on Cred Forums

SU is good show and yet I enjoy it's hatedom, in fact I think it has the best haters of any piece of fiction.

I unironically enjoy foreign cartoons.

Cred Forums can't stop getting ass-blasted at the idea of other boards calling them Cred Forumsmblr that it's forced all board discussion to make a quick perfunctory "Oh I'm not an SJW and SJW's are all bad" statement before anything. The entire debate on SU is because Cred Forums feels a collective shame about spawning MLP and gets hyper fucking defensive about their hobbies.
>Oh, so you think ALL cartoons are kiddie shit?
>Oh, so you think Aquaman is fucking lame?
>Oh, so you think superheroes can't tell decent stories?
>Oh, so you think ALL legacy heroes have to be black?
>etc.

When you read it from a macro-level, it just comes off as so much booty-rustling. Cred Forums needs to chill the fuck out and stop wanking themselves for being so strident against whatever it is they're mad at.

That being said, and without a trace of irony: Bendis' Guardians of the Galaxy is the best example of how to write established characters wrong in a continuity-heavy corporate publisher environment. This is fucking objective.

Company wars have become bizarrely popular. As a fan I'm not going to see a single cent from all these billions that WB, Disney, Marvel, DC, or Star Wars are throwing around at each other. In fact, I'm going to fucking lose money buying shit if anything.

It just make no goddamned sense.

Okay I was kind of juts playing with the theme of the board, and I can't say the Rick and Morty is objectively bad.
But it's not the pinnacle of western animation this board sets it up as.
Like Stephen universe, Rick and Morty appeals to a very niche demographic: nihilist teenaged hipsters.
It's not by any means ground breaking in terms or art, animation, story telling or dialogue writing, but it sells itself so well to its target audience that it develops a Cult like fanbase that clings to it like it helps them sleep at night.
Speaking of which why does it seem like a taboo to talk about Rick and Mortys art style? I've never seen any arguments about it, I've never seen anyone say good things or bad about the character designs.
I mean they're not terrible, they're just nothing special.
I barely ever even see fan artist emulate the drawing style, which is fair I suppose because I have no idea how Mortys hair is supposed to look. Every male characters hairline seems to start at the back of there head, like they're all balding. is Mortys hair supposed to be spiky? Curly? Straight?
I could honestly go on for decades about every problem I have with Rick and Morty, but they're all personal grievances, and won't changes anyone's mind about the show.
I just really needed to vent.

Yeah, and it's largely why I go there; that and, again, other tabletop discussion sites are either slow as balls or really boring discussions. But I'm mainly just sick of Cred Forums's bullshit, which even infects /tg/, despite it being one of the better boards.

>and I fucking loathe the majority of Marvel's Comics as most of their minority or LGBT characters are literally 'I am [insert group]'.
As a non-American, I can assure you that that's exactly how Marvel has been treating any of its non-American characters since forever. None of them have personalities beyond being walking stereotypes and "look at me I'm from [country]!". That's because no one at Marvel knows the definition of the word "subtlety".

I don't understand how people couldn't like Get Schwifty but not complain about Anatomy Park which is literally about the writers interracial cuckold fantasies that shows up in the series more than just a few times.

>Grant Morrison is my favourite comic book writer
>Sometimes I fantasize with the idea of some international police agency tracking all of our IP's and busting all of the pedophiles in Cred Forums. They are annoying as hell and are not even aware of the fact.
>I have watched roughly 8 or 10 steven Universe episodes. The gems lore and the invasion arc seem appealing but slice of life episodes bore me. Maybe I'll get to fully watch it someday. Also I hate the fact that the mere mention of the show derails any thread. People just go out of their way to attack it, almost as if Sugar have killed their parents or something.
>I occasionally browse wikipedia or comic databases to redpill myself in characters, mainly because I don't have time to read decades of comic book characters histories.
>I prefer the Ben 10 spin off over the original series. Looking back I realize that they were quite flawed, and omniverse was probably the best one. However I'm still in love with the concept and I think that it has a lot of potential.
>Waifufags are cancer
>People who complain about Cred Forums tend to be more annoying than Cred Forums posters themselves.
>I really like the DCEU and almost the entirety of the MCU. I'm easy to please, I guess.
>People should be able to freely discuss anything comic book or cartoon related in this board, including movies. I'd like to discuss cinematic universes without people asking me to go to the shithole that is tv.
>On the same note, this is a good board when compared to others. Really Cred Forums, appreciate what you've got.
>"Pandering" and fanservice a meaningless complain unless it severely compromises the story that is being told. There's nothign inherently wrong about giving the public what they like and the people who complain about it are generally bitter, contrarian fucks.
>I can recognize Alan Moore as really talented, but he's overly bitchy and his complains about DC comics strike me as either hypocritical or ignorant about the idea of continuity.

>The Loud House is overrated and it's fandom is fucked due to the incest.

>it's fandom is fucked due to the incest
if you know what i mean

>implying that just because someone doesn't like modern cartoons and one old cartoon that they don't like anything
...dumbass!

I want to write a Doom Patrol series in the future.

>If anyone ever said, "it's gets better after (insert episode or season here)," after the first and second episode or season was bad, then you're an idiot because your first and second episodes are what's going to make or break a show for me

>I've never liked KND, Grim Adventures (Post Grim and Evil), Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Fosters, Chowder, Regular Show, and We Bare Bears but Samurai Jack will always be the crown jewel and the only show on CN that was worth a damn

>The Loud House is trash nothing is great about it the characters sucks, the writing sucks, and the only reason anyone cares about is because the girls are eye candy...

>The Fairly Oddparents was never funny and never will be funny and Butch Hartman is an asshole that needs to die and rot in a hole I'll never forgive him for dicking around with the Danny Phantom pictures that he did this year, also no I'm not a DP fan never will be

>Hasbro has had no talent since 1992 and still lives in the 80s refusing to change their business practices. Oh and they sold out LPS 2012 for bronies and old LPS fuck you Hasbro I hope you get fingered by Edward Scissorhands you bastards!

>EaH > MH because EaH has best story, characters, and animation that didn't go CGI near the middle of the series...No I'm not letting that go from MH

>Oh and they sold out LPS 2012 for bronies and old LPS fuck you Hasbro I hope you get fingered by Edward Scissorhands you bastards!

Really? I thought that characters like the early Claremont characters and majority of the New X-Men were a pretty diverse team who didn't always need to say that they were diverse.

So you think nearly everyone on Cred Forums has a problem? Also, we're you offended?

>Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is a better Western Cartoon than most Western Cartoons today.
It can't be western if it actually isn't western.

>Manga and comics are the same thing.
They're separate because Cred Forums came first and this board is for western material, and by extension anything that doesn't belong on Cred Forums. I have heard that some Korean and Chinese creations have fans that have a hard time discussing such subjects, though.

>Regular Show, Gumball, Teen Titans Go!, Steven Universe, Clarence, and We Bare Bears are excellent shows and I watch them all religiously as much as my adult programming.
>Rick and Morty is fucking great and pretty funny most of the time. There's no reason for Cred Forums's britches to be in a bunch over it other than Reddit likes it or that it's "normie" territory.
>South Park was and always is the best cartoon on the air for 20 years. I find it's stance on everything perfectly executed and the fact that animation is finished in 6 days is stunning, kind of inspiring really.
>Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, and Over the Garden Wall were western animated masterpieces that were nearly as good as an actual 2-D Disney feature. Wander deserved a third season and a bigger success than it got.
>Same goes for Samurai Jack and Avatar ten years earlier
>Adventure Time and Star Vs suffered from an odd tonal change. The shows and characters got boring and the life got sucked out of both of them. Now they're 2deep4u shipping trash made to cater to the Tumblr shipping crowd.
>[adult swim] is the best network on TV. I unironically like almost any show on it. Dumb shit like Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Eric Andre, Rick and Morty, Squidbillies, etc make me laugh my ass off like a little kid.
>12 oz Mouse is one of the best cartoons ever made. It's brilliant and anyone who doesn't get it is immediately a pleb. Moral Orel is also one of the best.
>Disney and Pixar are still going strong. Finding Dory and Zootopia were the highlights at the theater this year for me
>Wreck It Ralph and The Lego Movie are the best animated films of all time next to the Toy Story trilogy
>I enjoy Miraculous Ladybug for it's cheesy "toy show" vibe
>Mighty Magiswords looks decent.

There you go. I don't like comics at all as well. I'm here for the 'toons. Some very good shit lately. More so than animus from Japan at least IMO.

I still love Simpsons.

Shame you're a pariah now for thinking so.

Dude if it is fictional loli then it is not illegal.

shut up boco

Yes sir...

ATHF is only good when it isn't trying to be as fucked up and disturbing as possible rather than funny.
The show is at its best when it's just the four main characters playing off each other or any supporting characters.

People who say Loud House is generic, bland, or one dimensional, have obviouslt watched little if any of it. Also, the voice actresses do not get enough credit, especially Grey Griffin, for making each girl unique and distinct.

It's okay user, I'm in the same boat.

>I hate both Lady Shiva and Cassandra Cain for being overpowered as fuck for no reason.

thats not the last one out of beach city

shut up mrenter

Barbara Gordon was never good. She was always a lame add-on to the bat family who failed to contribute anything relevant or interesting. She was essentially dead weight, and the decision to cripple her in the Killing Joke was the right one. Her becoming Oracle is the moment her character was actually worth a damn, and this New52 idea of "Make Barbara Great Again" is built on false nostalgia for something that was never that great to begin with.

>More so than animus from japan atleast IMO
I dont know i have been enjoying alot anime this year but i do say that winter season was pretty weak.

Day twenty-three. I have had another sexual dream of someone that was not my waifu. I am beginning to doubt my willpower.

Day 23 of what?

SU is overrated and part of its fandom has reached levels of autism comparable to fandoms like Sonic or MLP

Comic Company wars are more enjoyable than politics ones

Nostalfags can be the best or the worse depending of the situation

Justice League Action can be the boost for the DC animated universe, but also to not rely always on muh Batman/bat-family

Miles Morales is as interesting as a wooden plank

Banishing shit to premium channels and not also having premieres online on official sites is what's killing cartoons before their time

SU has an interesting story to tell but does a shit ass job at telling it. It doesn't know how to balance all the elements it's introduced, and as a result the pacing is borderline DBZ tier and is quickly losing it's appeal by holding it's story just out of reach. It's trying too much to be Adventure Time, but its setting doesn't allow for that method of story telling in an effective and powerful manner. If I were a kid, I would have dropped the show midway through Peridot's conversion because it feels like it's going nowhere.

Uncle Grandpa was a fun show that hit all the notes it intended to hit. The character designs, much like TAWOG, are all over the place, and it's refreshing to see not everything is trying to copy the FOTM.

On that note, the "Cal Arts" style the fotm style isn't as pervasive as fuckheads seem to be convinced. Exactly how many cartoons look like one another? You have some that are clearly trying to rip from one or the other, but those shows are rarely something worth talking about. If you're going to rip on samey-designs, home in on cliquey art communities like the forced diversity side of Tumblr or the mostly dead Egoraptor wannabes on NG

>Mile Morales is as interesting as a wooden plank
>Bendia trying his damndest to making everyone like him

Now how long until Bendis demands Annie May Parker so.he can have her pal around with Miles so.he's "apart of the family" m

>Alan Moore is bitchy

I agree on that

Fuck, man, I just wanna crossplay, and look half decent.

I know that pain, friendo.

>Thunderbird 66.gif

Both have a shit ton of training and in Shiva's case, years of experience. It's not that out of left field for both to be OP as shit.

I actually kinda agree. I do like Barbara Gordon as a character but not really as Batgirl. Honestly, you wouldn't even NEED to cripple her necessarily for her to become Oracle. Generally, it's casuals who think she's the best Batgirl, due to being created for the Adam West show and having decades of exposure.

I check Cred Forums through an ipad, and I am too lazy to download the newest episode of the cartoon I watch, so I just wait until said episode gets uploaded to the internet.

I don't blame animation studios for putting out shitty material that sells.
Honestly, if I could make the next RWBY, I'd squeeze every cent I could get out of that crap, to hell with artistic integrity.
I can't stand bringing politics into animation, though, because CONSERVATIVE IDIOTS LOL and PUSSY LIBERALS LOL both piss me off.

I generally dislike characterfags, but I can't help but heavily defend Hal Jordan, and rail against John Stewart in discussions.

Cartoons gave me my crossdressing fetish.
I still watch MLP.

yeah? your sister died in that plane crash because you don't eat enough cereal, Geoff

No

>tfw too liberal/sjw for Cred Forums
>tfw too "offensive"/"controversial" for sjw/tumblr/liberals

im in a state of constant middle ground and am being shot at from both sides.

But besides that
>think SU is good, sometimes great but mostly just comfy
>read more webcomics than real comics, and i think most are better written than anything in the "industry" or from the big two

and Im a furry

>I really want to like Steven Universe but I can't because it seems like the writers go out of their way to neuter everything the show has in regards to drama, tension, conflict resolution and character growth.
This show is like Dragon Ball meets Sailor except their nuts have been removed. I am so sick of every goddamn problem being solved by crying or singing, or Steven hugging his way out of everything.
>I like the Loud House, a lot actually. However, people overhype it to an insane degree. It's just a nice, fundamentally average show, not Golden Age Spongebob.
>I wish cartoons would stop with this 3deep5u lore shit. It pretentious as hell and it never lives up to the hype.
>I desire the immediate failure and cancellation of all comedy cartoons and want them to be replaced with nothing but action cartoons. Stupid and unlikely but dammit I want this.

I think everyone who lusts after the Loud sisters has PISS-POOR TASTE!

And that Leni is UNBEARABLY stupid! Worst sister.

I hate Steven Universe, I hate how forced it's morals are and annoyed how petty the fans are.

I HATE THAT Cred Forums HAS BECOME A BREEDING GROUND FOR LONELY VIRGINS TO HUDDLE TOGETHER AND POST THE SAME IMAGES OF THEIR 'WAIFUS' TO JACK OFF TO.

this. We need other side characters from S2 and S3 to reappear again. To be honest, Alan's and Penny's episodes are so predictable, it is ridiculous. On the other hand, Tobias does not really have major roles until S4 to be honest.

Wait, what was it before?

But it was always like that. You normalfags dont belong here

I read modern cape comics the same way people read golden age stuff. It makes everything a lot more enjoyable.

Because Uncle Grandpa's shit?

Hormone replacement and surgery is not going to help you love yourself. You need to figure out how to be OK with who and what you are.

>normalfags
Cred Forums is that way.
--->

Oh do you perfer your normie word when it was always normalfag.

>im in a state of constant middle ground and am being shot at from both sides.
Same. I just wish there were somewhere like Cred Forums, where there were deep discussion of media that you don't really get most places and where anything goes regarding obscurity, but without all the racism, misogyny, and so on.

>This show is like Dragon Ball meets Sailor except their nuts have been removed. I am so sick of every goddamn problem being solved by crying or singing, or Steven hugging his way out of everything.
Seriously. I like SU but it's cringey as hell. I get that it's trying to avoid cliches and trying to solve conflict in ways other than just power level fights and such, but christ. Sometimes you just want to see a straight up fight, with a winner and a loser.

Also some of the characters annoy me with how they can almost do no wrong, like Steven or Garnet.

>Gravity Falls had a good ending and I believe Alex when he said he always planned on two seasons. Seriously, did you idiots think he was going to stretch the same summer over another two years or that he would have Dipper and Mabel go back to CA and come back all hopped up on pubes and three feet taller because it's three summers later? Fuck you people are a special kind of stupid.

You want the 80's back? Seriously? I guess every single main character looking like barbie or ken with different hair and clothes with the exception of the fat, the old, and the young isn't any worse then Calarts... Actually no, it was shit and your and idiot(on that one point)

Also your an idiot about the lore. if you don't like it don't try to follow but don't say it's pretentious, that just makes you sound like a dumb crybaby. People actually like immersing themselves in the settings of the fictions that they are interested in. I know, crazy right?

You take that back about cyclops!

I'm obsessed with Shiro I think and I've had several dreams about him. I'm contemplating getting that dakimakura. I've written fanfiction.

I really like this show and it makes me want my own family

>I can barely read capes beyond 4 titles because more often than not it feels like if you've read one, you've read them all
>modern Batman is boring as hell and way too formulaic. This is probably my biggest issue with cape comics.

Then why do you come here if you cant stand racism in Cred Forums? This site was never for serious discussion

Shiro from Fate series?

I agree with you except
>Mighty Magiswords looks decent

Yeah, if they'd slow down on the jokes instead of going sanic fast with them.

S I N I S T E R

No, the one from Voltron.

I'm not satisfied where I'm headed in college. I don't like programming and the idea of going into a further math focused major frightens me.

I would leave my major, but I'm just too scared on where to go. I could try to be a 3D modeler... or maybe try an get my pilot's licence. I just don't want to waste what college I have paid for...

but that wasn't Cred Forums related...

I tend to stay away from drama shows nowadays because I feel like I'll end up as like some guy losing everything similar to whats happening on screen.

Oh i havent watched new voltron and i though they would not use japanese names in it

I am irrationally obsessed with the Affleck Batman movie having a Robin in it

Weird, i dont remember ever posting this, but it mirrors my thoughts exactly

Not him, but before the stupidity of outrage culture you could just make a joke, laugh and move on. Now you got a bunch of tards and shitposters that take the internet and fiction far too seriously and turn everything into a crusade.

General threads and anything similar to the structure of a General thread are filled with underage kids and obnoxious manchildren who blot out actual discussion with waifu/husbando shit.

Used to be ironic, once upon a time.

No you couldn't. People have always been outraged by random crap and things that just clearly are lies but sound truthy.

Well, 3D work is going to make you short-sighted eventually just like most jobs staring at a screen, so if you've still got commercial pilot-quality eyesight, do that. It's probably better paid, you get guaranteed breaks, and while you're young it's bretty good flying around seeing the world with an airline, even if it's just cargo you haul. Hotels are hotels are hotels and eventually even the best ones fully comp will drive you a little bit insane, but if you can stand not having a real home for a few years, or you've got a real understanding spouse, go for it. Just remember to save for early retirement.

Also, never put your dick in anything you're not prepared to lose it in. Real talk: pilot talk.

NICK TMNT has been really good lately, but the network is shit at promoting it. So now its getting cancellation-level ratings and they probably don't care. They keep showing that damn sponge.

Primus, THIS.

The comic has been pretty dull lately, too.

Not nearly as bad as its gotten in the last few years though, especially when people realized it's easy to exploit Cred Forums for whatever controversy or agenda you want to make money off.

Oh, that. No that's happening everywhere. It'll correct itself. Try not to worry about the how, but trust me, it drops off again.

Problem is, my university doesn't offer a degree in aviation, so it would seem I would need to transfer or wait until I graduate to try an get my pilot's license. that's why I'm kind of leaning on 3D modelling.

I appreciate the word user. It may not mean much to you, but it has really been cathartic telling someone.

>modern cartoons are miles ahead of 2005-2009, I'd take CalArts over jagged-line Canadian shit any day the New Sincerity in general has its annoyances but beats the late 2000's and is probably a good thing overall
>Ren and Stimpy wasn't all that good, in general or relative to other early 90's Nicktoons
>Steven Universe's SJWness is highly exaggerated, space lesbians is definitely there but makes sense, the Kevin thing is understandable if you account for people judging "is a jerk" differently from "did bad shit" you probably have some dictator you think wasn't that bad even though he objectively did worse shit than that guy you hate
>a lot of bullshit on Cred Forums and Cred Forums in general is from going too far to prevent another Unmentionable Show
>our best cartoons hit higher peaks than the late 90's-early 2000's Cred Forums idolizes, but that era was a better time to turn on Nick or CN and chill out
>on a similar token I'm glad cartoons are trying more high-concept shit, even if it falters a lot; that Gravity Falls exists at all is a godsend even if Hirsch got himself into territory that couldn't be satisfactorily concluded

>Family Guy has become so painfully unfunny to me that I get irrationally irritated just LOOKING at it.
Welcome to Cred Forums since it's inception, Family Guy has been pretty much shit since it came back, the first season back was okay then quickly turned into complete shit.
The Simpsons was a gradual slide but Family Guy was dive off a cliff.

>tfw my views basically make me a "neoliberal shill"; Cred Forums thinks I'm a cultural Marxist, actual Marxists think I'm a corporate imperialist, Tumblr would just call me a cishet and be done with it being pro-trade in 2016 is suffering

Cred Forums always made racist jokes, but there's some actual seriousness to them now that's how the whole world went though.

Generals are terrible and attract the wrong kind of people to Cred Forums, the kind that likes to create a familiar, clique of regulars with only a narrow view allowed in the threads.
Generals and everyone that likes them are terrible anons, that should move their obsessive, compulsive ways to dedicated forums where they can create profiles instead of a site that's specifically against being recognized and for everything to be an ephemeral type of fun.
They ruin everything they touch and eventually the actual content of the subject of the general gets lost in the muck.

SU from the get-go was about crazy magic alien shit while living in a quirky seaside town, it was always interleaving the two. Right now they're pretty clearly stalling for time because they hinted at some huge shit going down and they need to sort out the details (also rushing right into it would just be anticlimactic).

I still have hope for the show because it's not getting outright impossible to satisfactorily write like Gravity Falls towards the end, but they may need to bring in an actual SF novelist or work on their high-concept chops.

>tfw remembering Egoraptor used to be widely beloved

tfw I remember when newgrounds animators were raided for making anything vaguely Egoraptor-ish

I thought everyone here kinda liked Bob's Burgers.

The Loud House can be inconsistent (I remember not really liking the first few episodes I saw) but is overall worth watching. I just hope the writers focus on the sisters more.

I initially considered Cred Forums my main board but found myself drifting away, I've been mostly hanging out around here for awhile now probably because cartoons are in a slightly better state than vidya.

Do people really see Beach City Drift as a "progressive" episode ?

Also why does progressiveness bother people so much?

I think people just see progressiveness not serving a purpose sometimes.... Like, did including that make the episode better as whole and could that time have been diverted to something better?

Similar , I'm in a middle ground but I generally hate both sides

People worry too much about what gets posted here.

Its all gone in a day anyway.

I can see that but that could be anything.

But on Cred Forums it always seems like it doesn't matter if it's done right or not it'll just piss people off.

I think you are both right for different reasons. Everyone has different goals and strives for different things.
I just wanted a loving cute wife that would love me back. I got that, it's been 10 years since I got that and I am still happy and content getting up everyday and facing life and the work it brings. Hard times come and go but this is all I wanted in life.
Others would have ate a bullet if they didn't become recognized by age 30 others still could be given the world and feel miserable. Some could even find joy alone with nothing and see each day as a blessing.
Point is BoJack didn't get it because he can't even figure out who he is

Ponies for Cred Forums
Steven Universe banished to /lgbt/
I hope FOX continues to hold the X-Men away from the mouse.

I set some old bumps as wallpapers and listen to a lot of the bump music when I need to relax after a stressful day. I think it's mostly just that doing this reminds me of a time when things were better. Before I had to worry about a job or bills and all I really had to worry about was not getting caught by mom when I snuck downstairs to watch Sealab and Aqua Teen on school nights.

>Ponies for Cred Forums

This would be amusing to watch.

Seriously though, I kinda wish we could at least use reaction images of that show.

I kinda like SU but the main character makes me grind my fucking teeth in rage. He should have been the team mascot and not the focus of the show. And no, I don't give a shit that he "le develops". No amount of internal consistency is going to endear me to Steven.

This is a pretty autistic complaint, but it really bugged me how Arkham Knight emphasized on a maskless Pyg in his bio portrait, 3D model, and in his jail cell.

He's barely maskless in the comics too.The "face" Rocksteady came up with him makes him look like a low-rent Sander Cohen.

>Everything they've done with Venom after Brock let it go (and most of the stuff before to be fair) is honestly shit. I just want the symbiote back with Brock already.

>I really feel like the big two need to retire their big characters for a while and start printing new characters and stories. Not legacy characters, not someone's child, just new characters and stories.

>the Venture Bros is easily one of the best cartoons of the last twenty years and doesn't nearly get enough recognition.

>I'm sick of Cred Forums having weekly episode and talkback threads about Rick and Morty while the season airs, and then the second it's finished everyone says they hate it again. Obviously it's not all the same people but the show is honestly pretty good and one of the best things to happen to Adult Swim in years.

It's going to end after the fifth season anyway.

At least it's going to end on it's own ends and get a proper ending with a large episode count. There's a lot of action cartoons I wish got to have that privilege.

Nick has a really bad record of doing this. They just stop promoting a show after a while when it was doing fine, throw it in the shit timeslot, and then wonder why no one was watching a show they never advertised and only showed twice a day before they cancel it to air more Spongebob.

Sup barneyfag. Still being a massive faggot I see.

Loud House is next. Only a matter of time...

I feel massive amounts of shame watching RWBY

Its so shitty but I watch it for some reason dont know why

I dont even have a waifu from the show, I've only liked Ruby/Penny from the amounts of cute fanart they get

I also cant watch a cartoon to conpletion same goes for anime, a part in me just doesnt want the ride to end and prefers leaving it in the backburner than straight up finishing it

Phineas and Ferb's character designs are endearing and creative. People who get bent out of shape over the art style being "ugly" probably don't watch many cartoons, because there are a lot worse art styles.

That said, not bringing the same philosophy over to Milo Murphy's Law makes it look boring and generic.

>feminist is brainwashing kids

Korra is okay. Not great but not bad I just don't get the hatedom from it. I blame more on nickelodeon.

Busiek's Avengers is a chore to read that tries too hard to give off Silver and Bronze Age vibes. It's no wonder Marvel went with Disassembled, however awful it may have been.

I canĀ“t wait until the elections so that everyone can finally shut up about "muh Trump, muh Hillary". It get annoying.

IĀ“m glad Rebirth is a success but IĀ“m not that interested in the books aside from Sixpack and Dogwhelder

There's gonna be about a year straight of victory lapping and asspain on here regardless of who wins. It hasn't even fucking begun.

Same, though Sixpack and Dogwelder are not part of Rebirth.

You don't know how old your dad is?

ugh..goddamn
Oh yeah, your right

Also:

Cred Forums on a whole has gotten a lot more stupid over the last 5 years and Cred Forumss downfall is no exception

When I read that young boys these days donĀ“t read much (books or comics or manga) it just makes me sad.

> I can't believe Jason Aaron wrote some excellent Thor God of Thunder issues and then writes complete shit for Whor

> Jeff Lemire's Marvel work is terrible.

> Not sure how Marvel plans to use Carol as their female flagship hero when they're making her a fascist that embodies white privilege

> Everything Ellis' has done after his Moon Knight issues has sucked and I'm enjoying that schadenfreude

> Bendis truly hates Clint Barton, doesn't he?

I take it you're not a Watamote fan?

Fuck you, Cyclops was right.

Also, this board did sustain conversation long before the movie boom.

But that doesn't mean anyone who thinks something was too unpleasant to watch is too.

He constantly spergs about it. Someone bringing it up in an opinion thread isn't the same thing.

>being tired of elections this year, of all years

This year is the fucking greatest, I'm living through the millennial equivalent of 1968 and I'm forever grateful.

What was 1968?

Nixon/Humphrey

Ah.

Honestly, South Park's "douche/turd" analogy has never been so accurate as it is this year.

That second spoiler is a really fair point.

It's widely considered to be a really fucked up year, MLK was assassinated, the 1968 DNC was a legendary disaster, also a Kennedy was killed.

I miss Weekend Hungry Games. It was a fun and harmless way to kill time and the only dull moments were waiting until the thread got moved to page 10 and waiting for the host to put all of the noms in.

I don't think Star wars Rebels is as bad as everyone says, and I actually like most of the characters.

The only thing cancerous about Steven Universe is the Tumblr-tier fans and the anti-fans.

While I like Ms. Marvel, some parts of the comic could get cringy for me.

Even though there are characters that I guess I could call my "waifus", I'm slowly starting to hate the term.

I fucked up i didnt mean to say like

Yes but they are near superhuman when they are normal humans and never leave them around metas in order to not make them look bad.

>The highest numbered station I have is some kind of signal test diagnostic channel
>if nothing else is on to watch at the time, I will keep it there rather than watch any more of brad neely's hargle show

I would rather than put perfect hair back on than another show by brad neely.

>SU is a good show that Cred Forums pretends is bad everytime we enter a townie arc. There are some bad episodes, sure, but the show as a whole is well constructed

Its not entirely that the episode was horrible, its just that the characters were written horribly for the episode.

>CGI is the future of animation. Once we can get shit looking like Ladybug on a regular basis we'll see it become a cancer of sorts.

That's what everyone says when the next 3d cartoon comes out, but 3D will never take over 2D on television.

Barney got a movie as well, but I doubt you'll be calling that the next Citizen Kane or anything.

>wanting Barneyfags to flood the site again

Geoff Johns' Teen Titans is actually good. Not great, but pretty enjoyable

The reboot was the best thing to ever happen to Archie Sonic and the only bad thing about it is Nicole's redesign and the timing of it all. The downsides the reboot has ( and it does have them) are outweighed by all the good shit the reboot did, like cutting out shit that plagued the book for years

I fucking hate the fact that it's impossible to talk about minority or female characters on here without someone going full Cred Forums.

I agree with what said in that this shit flinging about Hillary/Trump is fucming annoying

I don't care about SU and will never watch it, but the sperging that goes on when it's brought up is irritating and makes the people that hate it more annoying than the actual fans.

I actually liked Young Justice season 1 but the last few episodes had some really dumb shit in them, including the traitor reveal

Despite the problems this board has it's still one of the better boards on this site and the only place on the internet I can have semi intelligent discussion of things I like. This place helped get me into comics and I can't hate it because of that

The only version of Batman I can get invested in is Miller's Batman. For some reason every other incarnation bores me

I cannot get into the X-men. I've really tried and I was on X user's ride for a bit but it never grabbed me

Wanted wasn't that bad. It was schlock, but not on the same level of bad as Nemesis

The detective part of Tomboy is the least interesting part of the comic to me.

I can't get into a cartoon unless it's already finished, though Rick and Morty is an exception

Family guy pre-cancellation is actually really damn funny

both this and /vp/ are losing me, which is making me want to stop coming here completely

>if garth ennis stopped being garth ennis, then he'd be the best
ftfy

I agree about the Stan thing, but ESPECIALLY the AT thing. Fuck Fire and Ice.

I think "mean spiritedness" is a shitty meme that is only made because of the Bendy episode of Fosters

Gumball is the best cartoon on American television at the moment

Teen Titans Go doesn't piss me off because I always know to take spinoffs lightly and that the 2003 cartoon is baby's first weebshit.

I thought the first TBS season of American Dad was fine despite the edginess

I get worried that Beast from X-men would eventually be written out and that he won't get any new lewds or porn of his current form and cat form from the Morrison era.

Cyclops feels like he went from a rebel to a rebel with memeshit to him and writers took avantage of that because they know he's the only sane Mutant left.

Rick and Morty suffered from the same mistake show Osomatsu-san had where the fandom had a huge input into the show which lead to the characters being way different from what they are.

Steven Universe is dull, like you only watch it as background noise.

the new season of Fairly Oddparents is fucking great

>Omniverse is best
not quite unpopular

No Ive seen a tonne of LH and its all of those

Waifus have killed this board dead

I fucking hate the fact that it's impossible to talk about minority or female characters on here without someone going full Cred Forums.
This

Germany is to WWII as Cred Forums is to MLP.

Cred Forums's fractured psyche won't recover until it makes peace with its past.

I agree, Bismuth eps felt like the storytellers for SU were pandering to the fans that latched onto the bubbled gem when it first appeared on screen.

Why is that the best image ever?

Nice try but Guy Fierri is the nicest guy on earth. He's a goofball on tv, but seriously the best dude ever.

thanks for informing me about this new show.

It was okay in my opinion. I cannot fucking stand any Onion episodes. I hate that smug piece of shit so much, his pretense, his just being in an episode kills it for me. I am seriously close to stopping SU because of Onion. The lesbians are great, the lore is enchanting, songs are hit/miss, and the side characters are becoming developed- which is neat but I don't give a rats ass- and I wish the writers can just decide what they want to do

>at least I have a job now
thanks for the reminder

He got the booty

Thanks to the shitty new episodes, I can't watch the old ones anymore. I used to think they were funny, but seeing where they're going with it, seeing how right on the edge it was of being unfunny (something I could not have had perspective on when I found it funny the first time) it was... I have to write off the whole series now.

Even The Simpsons didn't do that.

I've taken out student loans for a graphic design BA I couldn't finish due to my health at the time, currently paying them off and constantly feel reminded of that failure. I've tried and lost interest in so many majors/groups of study. I've been through art, design, programming, web design, physical sciences, and now Japanese. I have gone through every educational path I wanted to learn about since I was a kid, and nothing calls to me. Even now I'm quickly disillusioned (again). I quit my job because I was getting treated like shit, and that was at the end of June. My boyfriend works and I'm at home looking for jobs and practicing Japanese, and trying to pull together something so my life doesn't feel so empty, like wasted space/potential. We have less than $30 to last us for two more weeks after bills are accounted for. All I want is to be happy and find something I like and that I'm good at, and stop this endless soul searching so I can move on and start enjoying my life and stop surviving on dollar store food.

this year is fucking shit, and it's stupid to fucking celebrate humanity slowy crumbling you fucking moron

same

except I still have health problems so I can't hold a job so I'm still living with my parents, and my cycled majors were biochem, geology, criminal justice, philosophy, and animal science.

I love comic books
Noone in my life likes comic books
Girls reject me because of comic books
I still buy comic books
I still love comic books

Where would you go afterwards?

>feels smug

This. Lazy too. A lot of the time you can tell it's "just get in the booth and say what you think is funny, we can animate it"
Lots of times its just...meh. but they no doubt wetting themselves at how funny they think they are.

Also. Family guy should die a death. Newer episodes just handed to noobs to write. No one dare say "it's not funny do it again" to seth. He's on the way down.

Marvel cuckmics. Changing everything to suit sjw cunts. Bendis utter shit tier writing. Stopped a long time ago as the headline in the press "one eyed Chinese les pan sexual dwarf new captain america" seems more important than the comic itself.

This

Steven Universe had a really good, fun first part of a first season with lots of juvenile adventures with a portly child having fun adventures. Then it got weirdly, maturely progressive all in the span of a few episodes. We went from a silly little five year old hero to one who was actually a much older young adult magically stunted in age so we can have much older adventures. We got a hypercompetent, ambiguously brown girlfriend who not only shows up the hero at every opportunity, she even inherits the magical weapon Steven's mother left for him because she's just that awesome, you guys. Steven starts solving his problems by crossdressing for now good reasons, fuses with his girlfriend into a literal hermaphrodite who is deemed THE HOTTEST THING EVER OMG WE ALL WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH ITS TOTAL LACK OF DEFINABLE SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS YOU GUYS FEEL US, RIGHT??? Fusing becomes equated, and not ambiguously, to relationships and sex thanks to the creepy lust dwarves that make up the black character (who is waaaay more competent than the white characters for some reason). Said dwarves can't even stop thinking about fucking long enough to play a baseball game and nearly get everyone killed.

What started out as a sillly show about ice cream treats has turned in a clusterfuck of political dogma being shoved down throats so blatantly and forcefully that the whole of England basically said, "Naw, man, you're just literally indoctrinating children into your belief systems right now."

I stopped watching the show right when Lapis Lazuli forced the bulldyke gem villain to fuse with her. I turned it on the other day on a whim, and got a one-two punch of the formerly straight-man (lol) character Pearl wearing a tuxedo and lamenting in song how she never got to gay marry her giant pink warrior woman lover and Steven and Amethyst literally fusing into a squat, ugly black woman.

Fuck this show.

The fandom only fucked up In a big way twice. The hatedom is just pissy and screech about sjws and gays constantly.

So you've to enjoy capes to be a good writer?

Episodes focusing on the sisters are pretty good

I lost all of my comics on my external hdd and now I don't know where the fuck to go to even begin to download them all back. It's lonely, man.

I agree

I think one of those aren't SJW and just you being paranoid

Regular Show focusing on relationship stuff was an improvement. By the third and fourth seasons, the formula was running dry. In the relationship episodes, the plots follow the same structure of mundane thing -> surreal adventure but with more context.

I'm not disputing that this year is awful, but if it has to happen I at least want to be able to tell my grandkids >implying.

Honestly Clyde's been getting better, and the problem with his episodes isn't him so much as the show turning into every other semi-realistic kids cartoon.

If he has a problem with women in tuxes he's just a faggot.

>Justice League Action can be the boost for the DC animated universe, but also to not rely always on muh Batman/bat-family

I agree, but it still bums me out that Beware the Batman was killed so soon. I really liked the direction they took the show towards the end and it's a shame they can't really go forward with it.
