The visuals are extremely well done technically. Mercury Filmworks is probably the best at this style of computer-tweening. Everything's crisp, solid, and has great sense of energy. But the show is never quite beautiful or inspiring from a design perspective. It doesn't have the personal flair of an SU, a Wander, or even a Loud House.

Writing is average, and the overall concept is gimmicky and not explored in a novel way. It's pretty background noise and I don't expect it to change for the better.

The main gist is that there used to be this smug superhero called Captain Atomic that defended Megacity. One day his bitter sidekick turned him into a sock puppet, who can only use Captain Atomic's superpowers again if someone wears him on his had.

His biggest fan, Joey, eventually finds him and teams up with him, creating a new superhero called Atomic Puppet.

The concept is really fucking retarded on paper but the show is pretty fun so far. Also the animation is really damn good for what it is.

Animation-wise, Atomic Puppet is closer to Loud House than anything. Savino worked with Atomic Puppet's studio on Kick Buttowski, and took with him a lot of the same style cues. It's particularly noticeable in how the characters stretch, and how the pupils dart around periodically.

I mean, yeah, this show is good too, but I still only watched half of it: best out of those would probably be Big Pickle and Sword Sisters. Pizza Planet was also enjoyable.

I started with the first one and found it definitely watchable and enjoyable off the bat. Lots of imagination (doesn't feel like a cookie cutter show, jokes have some originality and ingenuity), very good design and animation, and not really anything objectionable about it. Not outstanding but way better than I would've expected in passing.
