It was a Doombot and Carol has been held captive for years

Make her lesbian with Spider-Woman XD

true now that her beard is dead

Marriage with Spider-Woman.

Only if the bot was fucking rhodes

of course, it would be funny

I'm wondering how they'll make people like the Inhumans.

...what if this is a strategy from Marvel to take the piss from Marvel Studios?

No, it's just synergy gone bad. They're trying to give her prominence before the movie but forgot about
>Bendis

Bendis?

I stand by the fact that Duggan could have pulled off the pregnancy being a space science baby with Carol

Why don't they just do what they did with BP?

Shelf their solos for a while and when they appear in a movie launch the book with a superstar creative team

Because people already liked BP. Nobody really liked Carol, especially if they're trying to sucker people into believing she's their Wonder Woman equivalent.

Says who? Did they pen an article slamming her side in CWII?

Oh they will have to shelve Carol after CW2.
Her position is so universally reviled, her methods so assbackwards, her results so disastrous, they won't have a choice.
Tony is dropping out, so should Carol. They'll have to make her sit on her hands, maybe care for the little spider bastard, and not touch anything high-profile for a while.

They've been actively trying to make Carol popular for 4 years now and still haven't succeeded. When what's basically advertisement continues to fail it makes you question whether the film that's going to be based on it will flop or not.

Eh, the same thing happened to Iron Man when his movie came out. Tony was near universally reviled after the first Civil War, but movie audience were crazy over RDJ

They'll just give her a brain reboot

>They'll just give her a brain reboot
Again?

If it aint broke....

Why would it flop? Casuals don't give a shit about comic books.

Bring back hard-drinking feminist writer Carol.

>he thinks the comics have any bearing on how well the MCU films do
Delusion

Then you don't repeat your stupid mindwipe shit like the fourth iteration of the same asshole will suddenly work.
She isn't broken, she works as intended. People just hate how she works.
She is a fully functional turd sandwich and the giant douche is still winning all the polls.

Well, maybe RDJ will want to play her?

We know that, but editorial and movie execs don't know that.

By let her become a pedophile(maybe even lesbian) and start another Civil War for the rights of pedophile.

Except executives give absolutely Zero (00.00) shits about the comic books.
Once again, delusion

It's increasingly apparent that the Carol Corps came from Kelly Sue's larger than life personality than from the actual character.

You're an idiot. It's not executives making these decisions, it's just shitty Marvel editorial. It's easier for them to watch movies and make comics like the movies than it is for them to read character history and write comics true to character.

You mean Hopeless. And no, he couldn't have.

i have faith that feige and the studio will fix carol and give make her likeable/not-boring

i have 0 faith the comics side can. KSD's carol was shit. bringing based warren ellis didn't help. she's had 2-3? relaunches and they were all shit. bendis carol is obviously shit.

reed's carol wasn't that bad but still couldn't break the boring female-hal jordan. the hard-drinking, bro-sis military rivalry/relationship she's had with cap wasn't that bad to be fair. busiek was the only one who really did her justice

It wouldn't help with the sales and it'd kill any potential mainstream popularity but CBR would love Carol more than ever and Marvel would be very pleased with all the tumblr posts and trending topics despite the actual book would sell like shit

If Ellis can't fix it, you know it's fucking broken.

EMH-Carol was pretty good. But nobody remembers EMH anymore.

Thanks to Loeb

I thought they had finally gotten a grove going with her with those first four issues by Fazekas and Anka but even that couldn't last more than four issues

> One question, if anyone knows. Why not Black Widow?

>There's a lot of why nots.

>The 'first four' ladies of the Marvel universe, for instance;

>Why not Sue Richards/Invisible Woman? Movie rights.
>Why not Jean Grey? Movie rights.
>Why not Wasp? Was dead when the MCU started, then on hold because of Edgar Wright's stalled Ant-Man movie, which was later revealed to not have intended to use her anyway. Ugh.
>Why not Scarlet Witch? Was a hot mess when the MCU started, and is still kind of a mess.

>Why not Black Widow? I think they want a female super-hero with super-powers. (Although Black Widow has as many super-powers as Batdude, over at the Distinguished Competition, and that doesn't seem to prevent him from hanging with Superdude...)
>Why not She-Hulk? Perhaps seen as a derivative character of the Hulk?
>Why not Storm? Movie rights.
>Why not Monica Rambeau? The token black person has to be a dude, and preferably a sidekick/subordinate/best friend to a white main character. Black *and* female and *not* tied to a white 'main' character would explode tiny brains.
>Why not Medusa or, much better (since she's actually been an Avenger), Crystal? Who knows. It would make sense to push Crystal.
>Why not Songbird? Again, who knows. She's been ready for the big leagues since Avengers Forever, IMO.
>Why not Psylocke or Emma Frost or Kitty Pryde or Dazzler or any of a half-dozen other great female mutant characters? Movie rights.
>Why not Valkyrie, or Elsa Bloodstone, or Kate Bishop, or Misty Knight, or Tigra, or Moondragon, or Snowbird? ?
>Why not Squirrel Girl? Gah. Don't give them ideas! She could be the Harley Quinn, '4th member of the Trinity' for Marvel!

>Carol must have just seemed like the right fit for 'Marvel's Wonder Woman.' Powerful enough to feel 'super,' and yet not anything unique or original that might confuse the poor dears.

Somebody send some flowers to the depressed nigga in the back to cheer him up. He looks like he´s about to ice himself.

People also don't realize how marketable her superhero name is.

Captain MARVEL. The movie practically markets itself, you just made sure that everyone will see it.

Every casual friend of mine actually makes fun of how unoriginal the name Captain Marvel is for a Marvel character.

>Nobody really liked Carol
I did...before AvX ruined her...

He just realized despite being the best part of Civil War and getting one of the strongest young talents in the industry to direct his movie Marvel Studios is more than likely going to completely fuck Black Panther

>Why not Monica Rambeau? The token black person has to be a dude, and preferably a sidekick/subordinate/best friend to a white main character. Black *and* female and *not* tied to a white 'main' character would explode tiny brains.

You were doing alright until you said this stupid shit. Now your whole post is questionable.

It's not entirely wrong though. I mean the last super hero movie with a black chick as a lead bombed a lot.

Her black chickness had nothing to do with it tho.

THAT Bendis?

Wait for the movie to invent a new personality for her, then put that in the comics, just like Star-Lord, except for the better.

There are legitimately a lot of people who won't see a black female lead because they'll think it's a black targeted movie. Just kind of a dumb chicken and egg thing involving market segmentation and studio advertising.

They could have a teamup with Monica as the true lead, but you need to have the white chick there.

Tony Stark would be a better example.

Especially since they've been incredibly guarded with the character because the new personality they're building for her is probably gonna be the face of the universe post-RDJ.

Wouldn't that be her Nair?

>There are legitimately a lot of people who won't see a black female lead because they'll think it's a black targeted movie.

That's bullshit movie exec logic that's based off of outdated research done in the 50's. They said the exact same thing about female fronted action adventure movies for over a decade because Cutthroat Island bombed but all it took was a movies that wasn't a complete piece of shit like Hunger Games to prove them wrong.

Everyone hates Catwoman because Catwoman is an awful movie. The end.

Easy. Make her EMH Carol, who was the best incarnation of the character imo

I'm not talking about Catwoman specifically. Look at a show like Empire that's super popular among every group but white people. Audiences are just weird.

>Have her begin to crack under the pressure of being the new 'face' of the hero community.
>Carol also deals with the aftermath of Rhodey's death and her own feelings for Jessica.
>In her team books, she gets angrier and angrier with each passing story, helping to main consistancy with her solo.
>In her solo book, we see that Carol's murderous impulses are slowly returning.
>These impulses terrify her as she is slowly trying to connect with Jessica and her baby as a romantic partner and is not sure whether or not she should.
>Eventually these impulses lead Carol to nearly beat one of her villains to death.
>Eventually her friends call for an intervention and although she resists at first, Carol agrees to get help.
>Slowly over the next few issues, we see her deal with her problems and become a proper partner and parent

If Scott Summers comes back, I'd also do an issue where she gets drunk one night, due to the stress of her job, only to be picked up by Cyclops. While she is with him, she confesses how she is scared of being a mother and partner to Jessica due to her issues of rage and alcohol. Eventually Scott and her discuss their issues and in the final part, Carol goes back to Jessica's home, apologizing for the smell and asks if she can come back in when she's ready

Tony is at least somewhat based on his comic book counterpart, or at least a facet of it, Star-Lord was something entirely different altogether, which is probably what Carol's gonna get.

Turn her back into a background character

Bring back Brian Reed

Brie is waifu-tier and a genuine acing talent and she had the best tits of the fappening by far so their work is like 90% done already.

That would be great, but no way are they gonna do that.
Though Disney and Marvel could really ride the progressive wave by making the next major mainstream hero be gay. And lesbians always sell better than gay dudes.

>tfw now everyone waifus your waifu

>Oh they will have to shelve Carol after CW2.
her solo is getting a relaunch where she is hailed as a controversial hero so

We'll never get a Monica movie where her sidekick is Aaron Stack. Why Marvel, why?

>She's a good actress & hot so she's a good fit for the role

I completely disagree. She doesn't have the spunk to play a hotheaded recovering alcoholic like Carol

>One question, if anyone knows. Why not Black Widow?
Before the split with Feige reporting directly to Disney he had to deal with Jewmutter. Besides being a walking stereotype (nigger is AMAZINGLY fucking cheap):
hollywoodreporter.com/features/how-marvel-became-envy-scourge-720363

He directly blocked the idea of a BW movie:
indiewire.com/2015/05/marvel-ceo-doesnt-believe-in-female-superheroes-203801/

As well as taking it another step and blocking BW TOYS because "Boys don't by action figures of girls."

Seriously:
indiewire.com/2015/05/marvel-ceo-doesnt-believe-in-female-superheroes-203801/

replace her with a male character

>There are legitimately a lot of people who won't see a black female lead because they'll think it's a black targeted movie.
Sure. This is why leading off with that would be foolish. But if you introduce them via the already popular franchises (like Black Panther and Falcon showing up in Captain America) then you shouldn't have any issues.

Remember that for a healthy stretch there Will Smith was Hollywood's most bankable leading male (and he was really really popular in Sqwad).

I wouldn't have a hard time seeing DC spinning that off into a solo flick if Harley's solo doesn't tank (preferably with an eye to the success of an R-Rated Deadpool).

They've fucked Hawkeye so...not implausible.

>I haven't seen her acting "spunky" therefor she is incapable of ACTING that way on screen
Nigger, do you even ACTING??

>Elsa Bloodstone
Immediate NC 17, no matter what the content of the movie.
She will get over 400 curses (apparently that threshold makes all the difference) and beat South Park, just talking like she does.

>shit
Sorry, fucked up my third link:
comicsbeat.com/report-one-marvel-exec-blocked-making-black-widow-toys/

Then kill off Spider-Woman. Leaving Carol to raise her dead lovers baby.

To skinny
No ass
No hips
Short legs
She has talent but doesn't have the body

Is there anything hot lesbians can't fix?

It was all Mojo's plan to create a compelling sequel to the Superhuman Civil War.

Make it into a meta commentary on Marvel's addiction to events. Then let Ewing, Duggan, Hastings, Thompson, Conway, or even Bunn write it.

I really have no idea why Songbird isn't bigger than she is. One of the first things I read from Marvel was Avengers Forever. Naturally I thought that surely by now she has been in the Avengers, but no, she didn't make it in until what? last year?

Gay porn.

You can blame Bendis for it. She was joining the team after Avengers/Thunderbolts but Busiek and Nicieza rewrote the ending to escape Disassembled.

She had plenty of spunk in United States of Tara.

Just rewind to before they tried to make her marvels wonder women.
She still wont be that popular but she will sell better then she is now.

She was ruined before that user. She was terrible in fucking Civil War, especially her excuses to jump from one side to the other.

Is there a forum thread or an article? I wanna see this.

At this point i hope its what she gets.

This is the company that changed to a male villan just to sell toys they did not make in the end.

Please, take him. As long as he stops writing Halo games.

Seriously, I wouldn't watch a movie with a black female lead unless the studio convinced me it wasn't some Madea-esque shit

>Snowbird

Why would they mention her and not one of the other female members of Alpha Flight? Vindicator, Talisman, and Aurora at least aren't boring.

That's because he lives up to his name.

That's what they did for ANAD, and then she got Bendised.

CBR posters hate everything that's popular look at the forum the majority of posters openly hate Batman and Harley Quinn is barely discussed

Its actually a good sign that they hate a character because that means its well off for example look at Damian

Well, Ike's not in charge of the movies anymore.

It still hurts!

>chicken and egg
I hope dc breaks the cycle soon that way at least one good thing can come out of the dceu

>This universe's Carol gets replaced by the actual House of M Carol
>Alternate Carol was basically as beloved as Superman, probably made better choices, can be written as inspirational and intelligent
>All the fascist Carol baggage would be gone
>"In the House of M universe the whole 'she gets pregnant with her own rapist' storyline never happened"

Done

Fuck Carol, how do we make Black Panther smile again?

I wouldn't change a thing. She's my fascistu.

Hunger Games was also shit but mostly due to casuals getting tired of J-Law's shit.

Fury Road was a happy mistake.

>Even CBR hates Carol now

HOLY SHIT Bendis did the impossible... You KNOW if it were any other writer, they'd be told to clean out their desk by now

You actually think international audiences want to see a black woman?

Make Kamala Khan Captain Marvel

Full penetration

It wouldn't be the same, the fun of Nextwave characters is having that swear in skulls no matter which book they're in, how they do convey that on screen?

Gross

Make Kamala Kahn join ISIS.

There, I fixed it for you. Now, fuck off with this nonsense about Kamala becoming Captain Marvel.

With who?
The biggest name in black female characters over in DC is Amanda Waller. Who else is there? Bumblebee? Vixen?

Yeah thinking about it your right.
Its funny dc has always had a lot more diversity then marvel but they uterly fall down on black women.

Still i could easily see a vixen movie getting made.

She lets out rapid-fire screams of "skullskullskullskullskull" a lot.

People end up obliviously praising it for being brave enough to have a clearly autistic hero.

What would happen if Kamala joined ISIS? Would she embiggen and crush the Freedom Tower with one hand?

Well, that improves Captain Marvel. But it does nothing about Carol.

Benis

Who the fuck wrote this dreck?

Have her constantly raped by Thanos until she's so mindbroken, even Carnage would look sane in comparison

>dreck
They'really mostly right though. Carol Danvers is getting pushed as Marvel's Wonder Woman because there is literally no one else in the MU who can take that role.

Well, it's a tight niche of a role that kinda cuts down the number of people eligible.
Who says that Marvel needs a character that is anything like Wonder Woman?
Seriously, they have so many better characters that could be a breakout hit.
Peggy worked out just fine. Widow and Scarlet Witch have been at the very least functional cast members with a sizeable waifu crowd.
Polish Sif a bit and she could be an important player.
Hell, you could rope a blank page like Angela into the job!
Badass angel/Asgardian headhunter with a mean temper and no concept of social norms?
That's like Wonder Woman cranked up to 11 at least.
You have the question of her royal heritage (and possible claim to the throne), her relationship with her dear, newfound brothers and the Guardians as pieces already in place.
From there you can play her as intimidating or goofy as you will.
Or do both. She walks into one social pitfall after another but nobody dares so much as blink. And then you have a scene where Thor tries to teach her about how humans work but he got half the stuff wrong, too.

She already got an animated mini series which is more than I would've expected. This isn't even a console war thing. You can pretty much count the number of noteworthy black female superheroes from Marvel and DC combined on one hand. Two at the absolute most and even then to do so you have to start stretching the definition past its breaking point to include characters like Waller.

Storm, Monica, Misty, Bumblebee, Vixen. That's pretty much it. Of that list, Storm is the only real A list name.

>Who says that Marvel needs a character that is anything like Wonder Woman?
Marvel shareholders (other than me anyway) and people that write "why isn't there a black widow / wonder woman movie yet shitlords """"""""articles"""""".

I've always felt that was a low bar, too. Wonder Woman can't survive a single writer change without sweeping retcons. She's got less going for her than sonic the hedgehog.

Why is Black Panther so mad?

Current Marvel has issues properly promoting or taking advantage of their live action sucesses. Look at Young Avengers, anyone else would have taken advantage of Avengers by promoting them and recovering the characters from limbo, had a cartoon for the kids and othe media.

instead they kill their potential aping hunger games and battle royal.

I wouldn't go that far. Sonic has remarkably little of a character.
As in, he is a 90s smarmy stereotype on sneakers.
But yes, WW is a big pile of not much there.
And they are obviously flailing, trying to do a female character justice when the obvious answer is to just ignore the political demands and do the character justice, then stick to your guns.
You can see this with the less prominent cast all the time. People probably get a better idea of who people like Titania of Maria Hill are because they don't get rebooted all the times but are treated as fixtures and don't have to undergo arcs that massively change them just to get ignored thereafter, or retconned.

To think that the name Young Avengers were almost drawn into that.

Can you imagine the shitstorm if Teddy was killed for Billy like Mettle was for Hazmat?

Pull a fast ball and have Carol a shattered mess after the events of CW2.

Monica steps in as the new CM and Marvel now has a new movie with a female black hero that actually has fans and a workable history. Also hits the diversity points.

Do it like Metalocalypse.

Carol's a far better character than Monica.

It's cute that you think comic book fans have any impact on the success of MCU movies.

Comic book fans weren't the ones that made GotG a succesful 700+ million dollar movie. All this "b-but Carol can't sustain a solo book!" has absolutely no bearing on the MCU. Scott Lang is a literally who that made $500 million at the box office. I don't care about Carol either, but all this circlejerking about how she isn't popular and that's why the movie will flop is hilarious to me. The MCU already proved many times that they can take unpopular, literally who characters and make them appealing to the general public.

This, the GOTG were Z-listers already.

Take the dick out your mouth user. Where did I say I gave two shits about the MCU? I just rather see Monica running around than Carol until they can get a better idea of what direction. Besides comics have already shown they are willing to deviate somewhat with Captain Falcon and Thor. Especially Falcon considering the movies have actually did a damn fine job of selling him to the normie audience.

Precisely what Satan would say.

>taking advantage of their live action sucesses

at this point they have to be intentionally shitting on the movie characters, i'd be surprised if strange isn't replaced with in a year

I'll be honest and say I wouldn't be interested in seeing a BW movie (not because I'm sexist but because I don't find her character interesting enough for a solo movie). Still, Perlmutter blocking BW toys because he believed "girl toys do not sell" is fucking bullshit.

Songbird push is coming, prolly as a central character on the HYDRA event. She was released in several Marvel games in a short span of time.

Because you said

>and Marvel now has a new movie with a female black hero that actually has fans
Implying it even matters that Monica has 10 more fans than Carol. It's easier to sell a white female led movie than a black female led movie and you know it too.

>Make her evil
>marry her off to Spider Woman
>make her rapey

>Why not She-Hulk? Perhaps seen as a derivative character of the Hulk?
With Deadpool doing so well, I had a little bit of hope Marvel would just say fuck it and do something similar to her comics. A comedy show or movie that's just about her being a lawyer.

Which makes me now realize how much I want a Damage Control tv series.

Oh, I would love the crappiest out of a She-Hulk show.
Or a movie about the Avengers disputing the Sokovia Accords if it must be that.
But a Damage Control series would be cool, too. Especially if they are represented by Walters Legal.
>I will sue this company to the ground! You better get yourself some big guns here.
>Well, how about these guns?

triggered

...

>Make her lesbian with Spider-Woman XD

THIS

The problem is that this is all dependent on the movie. If Feige and co can't pull off a good Captain Marvel movie then the character's practically screwed up even more.

At least Iron Man had more popular and lauded stories prior to Civil War to begin with.

Untrue; Perlmutter is still in control of everything but the movies. He'd care if the comics make a profit or promote Fox properties. Yes, editorial makes decisions, but Perlmutter would have say in making sure Fantastic Four stayed canceled or whatever.

>Who says that Marvel needs a character that is anything like Wonder Woman?
Marvel needs their own wonder woman to help make them look like more legit champions of diversity. Why else would they try SO hard to reinvent Carol Danvers over the years?

>Though Disney and Marvel could really ride the progressive wave by making the next major mainstream hero be gay. And lesbians always sell better than gay dudes.

Bi, Carol could be Bi. pretty flexible

Carol isn't wonder woman. she is far more like Hal Jordan.
now if Marvel want her to be the flagship female character... they should try gwenpool JK

...

>Even CBR now hates Carol Danvers.

Not just CBR.

comicsalliance.com/civil-war-ii-5-recap/

>Civil War Correspondence: The Character Assassination Of Carol Danvers By The Writer Brian Bendis [Recapping ‘Civil War II’ #5]

>It’s a shame that Civil War II is so bad, honestly, because it really should have been the star-making comic for Marquez, who is a phenomenal artist only getting better and better. When people talk about Civil War II in the future, they’re mostly going to remember the bad stuff.

And io9:

io9.gizmodo.com/marvel-s-civil-war-ii-is-another-damn-mess-1786943341

>And speaking of unearned drama: How crazy is it that we’re five issues—and what feels like endless months—into this series, and yet, in either the main series or any of the spinoffs, there’s yet to feel like any solid reason for you to agree with Carol Danvers in this conflict?

>Evan: The creative team in her solo title has been exerting themselves mightily to sell it and some of it has come close to convincing me. But, I keep thinking about that 10% remark from the main series and I’m like, “nope, nuh-uh.” Because if you believe that she’s right, there’s a whole mechanism that follows that belief. I still can’t manage to believe that Carol—who’s been written as a strong-headed maverick who bucks authority in the past, IIRC—would be up for locking people up on a maybe.

>James: And considering how poorly the vast majority of instances have gone where she’s acted on Ulysses’ visions so far, it feels almost like a joke that she even still stands by what she’s doing at this point. There’s a great moment in Civil War II # 5 where Tony hacks into Star-Lord’s helmet comms and has a quick one-to-one chat with him about why the Guardians would show up on Carol’s side, and their reason isn’t even that they agree with what Carol is doing, it’s “She’s our friend and she said you did something bad.”

>And then, when Tony tries to explain what Carol’s arguing for, out of nowhere, Star-Lord goes “Oh yeah, I think the visions are great.” Tony’s like “Come on!” and I’M saying the exact same thing out loud, because it feels like such a cop-out!

She's a skinny womanlet. How is she supposed to look imposing standing next to Evans and Hemsworth? RDJ can only pull it off because he's got charisma.

I'm loving this

There's no fixing her, Marvel has turned her into the Poochie of comic books. She's in everything, everyone always mentions how 'iconic' she is, yet, she's done nothing that would garner respect from veteran superheroes within the Marvel Universe. It's fucking pathetic. I want them to kill her off and never bring her back.

There is still CBC. They will defend any dumb MCU decision.
hi Matt

>The Character Assassination Of Carol Danvers By The Writer Brian Bendis
Ouch.

you must not have read the solicits for her new series

somehow Carol is coming out of this as the most popular hero on the planet

In-universe yes. But there's been a lot of negative reaction at other boards and stuff.

Kill Carol and give Monica her spot.

They gonna pretend in the movie that Carol isn't an alcoholic like they did with Tony?

The games themselves aren't that poorly written, its just the plotlines that have been shit since Halo 3.

Also, Microsoft forcing 343 to have robot enemies, make the gameplay more like CoD, and not go political like Cheif vs the Black Ops of the UNSC (which is what Halo 5 should have been)

like Marvel has ever given a fuck about its fans before?

...

They dumped the old fans in favor of new fans but they're now pissing both off, and it's actually been having an effect on sales since ANAD.

thank you Busiek/Nicieza

Based Kurt. What is he doing nowadays?

Yeah, that sounds like some bullshit.
As user just shared, nobody even agrees with her point at all.
All the writers make Carol look like an idiot on purpose or for lack of a good argument in her favor.
It's just her being a moron and doing something that could have been a clear win in a way that makes it a huge failure.
Instead of notifying people or watching them, she wants to incarcerate them.
And not in a way that frames it as a common-sense preventive measure against accidents, but as basically an arbitrary authoritarian thought police.
Had Carol told every hero when they could end up killing people in a sincere, non-threatening way, she could likely have had them agree to surveillance or an isolated location that is not a jail but somewhere you go because you feel it's a moral obligation.
>Oh, I don't want to go homocidal. I'll avoid the situation and go to the safe house thingy.

Still writing Astro City.

That's a dig at Hawkeye's death in Diassembled, right?

Yeah.

Astro City and his Image book Autumnlands

that is a very direct dig at Hawkeye's stupid fucking death in Disassembled

>somehow Carol is coming out of this as the most popular hero on the planet

Only because Marvel citizens are cunts. These are the same cunts that rooted on and loved crazy Norman's ass in Dark Reign. Fuck them.

Normon Osborn saved the planet from Skrull invasion

I'd stop trying so damn hard

This. It made a bit of sense, honestly.
Authoritarian, totalitarian superhero turned future-crime jailer is never going to be "the most popular hero in the world."

Don't forget IGN!
ign.com/articles/2016/09/21/civil-war-ii-5-review

>4.4

ign.com/articles/2016/09/23/between-the-panels-is-marvels-civil-war-2-failing

>I think these numbers offer quantifiable proof of a relative lack of enthusiasm about Marvel's latest event comic. Compared to all the excitement the original Civil War stirred up, this sequel often seems like it's merely going through the motions. There are a lot of factors at play, not least of which being the severely uneven quality of the core mini-series. Civil War II shares many of the same flaws as its predecessor without enough strengths to offset them. The characterization is often simplistic at best and off-kilter at worst. With many characters, I don't even have a firm grasp of why they sided with one faction over the other, or why they're invested enough in this conflict to come to blows with their fellow heroes and put innocent lives in danger. Why is She-Hulk's characterization in Civil War II #0 so at odds with the rest of the series? Why do the X-Men care about some dude who can see the future when they've experienced firsthand dozens of dark future timelines that never actually come to pass?

On her solo, she is written well. But all the nuance go away when she is written by Bendis

...

hell, make her really uncomfortable with the whole role model thing being thrust upon her. Like, she knows she's a fuckup, but she's trying her best.

>poor dears
God I hate tumblr.

Kill Bendis.

I hope someone send that to Bendis.

And she has no ass.

>Make her lesbian with Spider-Woman XD

Either that or grow her hair back out. Carol can be straight with straight hair or dyke with dyke hair, but straight with dyke hair just doesn't work for her.

>Nobody really liked Carol, especially if they're trying to sucker people into believing she's their Wonder Woman equivalent.

sounds like they're doing a good job then
