Slavers

Welcome Back, Frank is the obvious choice.
I certainly would like a proper Russian.

Self contained episodes of Frank and Micro just travelling around, some sort story arc about a criminal empire that connects all these episodes and Paul Giamatti as Micro.

Also bring back the Irish with his fucked up face, didnt he get a shotgun to the face in daredevil?.

Shocker being mocked.

For it to not take place in NYC.
I know the Netflix shows have a boner for NYC, but even I am getting sick of it. Look at the Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders trailers and they all start with an opening shot of the city. It starts to feel redundant.

I mean, it's not impossible since Marvel Disney has the rights to him.

Kitchen Irish would be a good starting point and pic related would be so amazing in live action

Better pic

I'd kill to see this.

wet foot
cold foot

Guest appearance by MoonKnight

I think that's the second person I'd dream of seeing, just under 'Cuda.

The collateral damage that comes with using military grade weapons in an urban environment. Exploring such a profound concept will add depth to the character and plot.

I liked it better when it was called Die Hard.

I would be surprised if they didn't do the Slavers arc at some point

If they use Barracuda, they should get the guy who played Kingpin in the 2003 Daredevil movie to play him.

>implying Punisher's latent power isn't superhuman strength, durability and accuracy proportional to the hatred in his heart
Real talk, that'd actually be kind of interesting.

It won't happen, but I would like it to be episodic. I want multiple stories told, and if any character can do that, it's the Punisher

>They could actually reference him being a Thor fan
>But they won't and instead we'll get more terrible euphemisms.

You motherfucker!

No, they should use Terry Cruse or Tracy Jordan.

The punisher is literally autistic for not causing civilian characters , that's inherent to his character. Daredevil did a bad job expressing that. It changes Frank from a very specific pyschopath to a run of the mill delusional one which is so oversaturated in violent action media.
It's a bad idea thay even a casual Punisher fan should understand
I hope that this does not happen

Tracy Jordan can barely walk due to his car accident and he's skinny fat as fuck. Terry Crews had potential but I wonder how well he would mesh with a character that fucked up. I mean, Baraccuda is a charming, jovial dude but he's a literal psychopath. Crews mainly does comedy roles so I'm ambivalent. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Would he work in a Netflix show? Some actors think that they're too self important to be in TV

Terry Crews is on TV, mate.

But he'd make a better JJJ instead.

The Punisher causing ZERO civilian injuries or casualties while comitting mass shootings because "muh preptime" is as retarded as the Hulk not killing anyone while destorying entire cities because "super-math".
It's blatant plot convenience that's defended by a flimsy excuse which removes any conflict from firefights because nobody that isn't a bad guy will get hurt

Except that theme's already been explored multiple times such as in Daredevil vs. Punisher Means and Ends.

user...

I'd kill to ser the tumblr shitstorm the use of the word cunt would cause

I'm not saying you have to explore it, but I will say that introducing the fact that Punisher is somehow so good at planning his mass shootings, that he won't hurt any civilians EVER, will be impossible unless it's told through hamfisted dialogue like in BvS ("gee good thing there's no people in these buildings that will inevitably be destroyed in the final climax").
It removes anything questionable about Punisher's actions because he'll NEVER hurt anyone that isn't a comically evil mobster. All it does is give the excuse for Punisher to cause as much mayhem and destruction as he wants without any consequence because "lol dude I planned it".

Where were you when MCD died?

He's done TV (Brooklyn 99 and Everybody Hates Chris) and Netflix (those Adam Sandler abominations). I think he has the potential to do it but I'd have to see a line reading before I was convinced. Otherwise, I'd want to see new talent.

Barracuda played by Mike Tyson

Thoughts?

Does Frank's ability to hit only criminals really need touching upon? It seems like something that wouldn't lead anywhere. Although on the point of collateral damage, I read about an episode of Spencer in which the hero guns down a youth, and the subject if gun violence and youth being discussed, only for the hero to go back to his gun totting the next episode. One movie I thought dealt with it pretty damn well was "A Walk among the tombstones," and "The Killer," but both served a purpose I don't think would work for The Punisher.

I'm not sure I can properly describe how much I want this.

I'd die of joy.

>Does Frank's ability to hit only criminals really need touching upon?

It doesn't unless they plan on touching upon collateral damage and guilt. Which would be bullshit.

Fact is, veteran military operators can shoot better than criminals. Thats all that needs to be said

I wouldn't mind if they did an arc where Frank thinks he accidentally shot a civilian. They did that in MAX, Girls In White Dresses I think. Frank thinks he shot a child, almost kills himself. Ends up figuring out that the girl was shot earlier and set up so that Frank would think he'd killed her.

Nick Fury in flashbacks

I want Frank to Frank a bunch of child molesters.

Like, maybe they have a scene where he rescues a girl from a guy, and the girl reminds him of his daughter, so they humanize his character by having him go after a child trafficking ring.

Why not New Jack? Dude's basically Barracuda IRL plus he did say he wanted to get into acting.

This is what I want. Frank straight up franking the worst people in the world

That fucking pawn shop scene was goddamn good in daredevil.

The voice is completely wrong

Oh, definitely.
It'd still be fucking hilarious though.
I think the problem with adapting Cuda is he's a larger-than-life character. It's gonna be nearly impossible to do him justice. So they might as well just go balls-to-the-wall insanity.

But it's not, The Punisher doesn't hit criminals in public areas in the large majority of his stories, and when he does he's usually just extorting information, not Franking. I'd call you a casual but outside of DD Season 2 this is apparent in all media he's in. Making the story "SHOULD YOU ROOT FOR ZE PUNISHER, HE'S BAAAAD GUYZZ" is dumb. It's revenge fiction. Should the main character of I Spit on your Grave have been a neonazi writer? Like we see some of her book and it's Mein Kampf 2 so there's some conflict with her murderous reactions?

Could they even use the I.R.A withou the audience collectively being baffled?

>flimsy excuse which removes any conflict from firefights because nobody that isn't a bad guy will get hurt
Vs some random civilian character that no one cares about which can only lead to a "the police and public hate Frank" which is already a part of the character or a cringey "To punish or not to punish" bullshit with Frank. And this isn't true. Frank can get hurt, the side characters involved in the story can and often do get hurt or die. You don't read Punisher comics. You don't understand the character, you're inaccurately talking about how the stories happen. You're looking to add in traditional hollywood story elements into a very specific and appealing character, because you assume the character does not have enough content for stories, because you're a casual that just assumes comics are a bad second rate art form.

Michael Clarke Duncan was literally perfect for the role, but he died. Once in a million you get an actor with that level of presence.

I know he's a meme but I actually think Idris Elba could be good, he's a big black man, and a good actor.

>Idris Elba
Nah.

Ving Rhames

Ving Rhames is a manlet. Cuda cannot be a manlet.

He'd fit right into the MCU then.

Okay but seriously, im not sure who could match his physicality.

Is Tommy Lister any good? He was good in the TDK boat scene ("give it to me").

Adding onto that, he's even blind in his right eye, just like Cuda and is a former Pro Wrestler (which demands being a god damn ham and having a physical presence).

He could be good

youtube.com/watch?v=gVseixK20cM

I could see it yeah.

Dude seems legit as fuck, he's tall, huge, deep voice, even got the eye and general look, decent enough actor.

>Russian love, big guy with hammer! Reminds of Soviet Union.

Yea Cuda's just a ham anyways, the writing will carry him. Unless they're gonna use the entire Barracuda arc you don't need an MCD tier actor

I want narration from Frank as he sets up kill zones, I want to hear him activate his prep time. Have him and Luke fight for some reason, Frank just lights him up with a rifle, but he sees that it does nothing other than ruin his cloths, she he blasts him through a wall with a grenade launcher. I want to see more of the history between Frank and Micro, and I'd like to see better cqc from him that just throwing haymaker punches.

The cqc of him vs the 30 guys trying to kill him in prison in DDS2 was awesome if I remember correctly. Involved him using a stake and shit

Yea I thought it was good
youtube.com/watch?v=5zsVn_vZ9zE
I see just two haymakers here

That scene was amazing, but that was the only time you actually see that Frank can fight, that and when he kills the two guys in the diner, that fucking coffee pot man.I know it was a Daredevil show highlighting Matt, but every time the traded blows they had Frank fight like a fucking idiot.

Anyone have a pic of pissed off Frank watching his family's corpses paraded on live television?

It's no more retarded than Batman's not killing people user.

> kitchen irish, the story line with one of the most hilarious endings
seeing all 4 of them BTFO after tearing up bells kitchen was funny as fuck since they were looking for treasure

.......for you think there's no civilian casualties in urban warfare?

Simply including shots where frank has good shots at franking the fuck out of people, but he doesn't take it because there's civilians in his background should be sufficient user, much as a few scenes of Superman evacuating buildings in man of steel would have been nice as well.

Frank isnt an idiot, he's not some asshole who runs around shooting randomly, he scouts out his targets, he does recon, he plans his assaults out and only kills people he's sure are guilty after proper investigation.

Source: Literally any Punisher comic released in the past 40 years with the exception of elseworlds.

Tommy Lister as Barraccuda appearing at the end of the finale as a teaser for season two.

You know what I'd kill to see? Frank meeting Captain America. Timing would be nice since they're both fugitives, but more for seeing 2 soldiers with different perspectives. Not to mention Cap is one of the few men Frank respects

> Cred Forums wants to save kids rather than rape them and fap to them
This pleases me

No I think there's no civilian casualties when a special forces operator hits a backroom poker game comprised of only mobsters. Have you ever actually read a Punisher comic or do you think he just sees a criminal on the streets at 12pm and sprays a sub-machine gun

Remember when Frank killed those parents shooting "home movies" or when Frank pulled a Chris Hansen?

Well, yeah, we're not Cred Forums, no matter how much we've been infected by them.

>Self contained episodes
This, to an extent. Punisher works best with small, weakly connected arcs instead of more complex narratives.

Each arc could be an episode or two with Frank taking on a different crime family or organization or baddie. Some of the plots would connect, some wouldn't, and the last two or three episodes of each season could then be some kind of bigger story that incorporates a few of the characters and plot elements spread throughout the rest of the season, but also works as a standalone.

The more like Ennis's MAX the better

Definitely agree on short story arcs, but The neflix portion of Marvel has such a boner for narrative complexity, they'll do a 12 part story. I hope they think better of it, but everything so far seems to be a long story

It's a big problem because as Jessica Jones and season 2 of Daredevil demonstrated, these twelve episode story arcs don't balance that well. They either get padded to shit like JJ or they end up stepping on other aspects of the story like with the Elektra/Hand arc and Punisher arc in DD.

There's nothing wrong with having self contained stories split up between 1-3 episodes. If anything it allows for more flexibility. You can do one-off stories or specials without it fucking up some big elaborate over-complicated season arc

The thing I want are to see really fucking evil sons of bitches, and I want to see them getting franked the fuck up.

When I saw OP's image, I was hoping for a scence where he franks the hell out of a group of ninjas with a minigun.

should I tell him that sometimes we want to save them THEN fap to them?

Ironically I only saw that storytimed on Cred Forums. It was insane. They looked perfectly Normal. Even weirder is that the mom still addressed them....normally. I didn't feel sorry for them yet it was hard for me to get angry due to the illusion. It's weird, whenever I hear parents doing this It's hard for me to react. I think it's because I'm so close with my parents that I can't imagine people doing this.
yet this shit happens. damn.
> chris Hansen
Tell me more
Tbhh this is why I don't want to move capeshit there. You're literally dumping us into the fiery pits of tartarus on Cred Forums

I wouldn't mind comics getting their own board, god knows the cartoon side of Cred Forums has been shit in 2016

...

Fuck off, we've got a good thing going here.

We get cartoons, we get movies, we get comics.

It's like someone serving you a big delicious sundae and then throwing a hissy fit and demanding that they carefully remove all the jimmies because you don't like sprinkles.

Pigeonholing of boards will be the death of Cred Forums

Frank pretends to be a young girl and lures a predator to a closed fairground. From what I recall, it was kind of funny

I didn't say I want it, and I'm not actively fighting to break up Cred Forums, I just said I wouldn't mind. Calm your autism bro, it's cool, we do have a good thing here.

Ok show of hands, who wants to see THIS scene adapted?

No it's like ordering a sundae and getting all sprinkles. Cred Forums dominates this board, you're in a fucking Cred Forums thread right now.
It's not pigeon holing when it already has a board

Why do you want movies here?

> an episode of punisher where he plays minecraft and lures a lionmaker style youtuber
Now I'm fucking hype
I never said Cred Forums should be changed.

>you're in a fucking Cred Forums thread right now
I disagree, we aren't discussing production costs and tactics, we're not fan casting, we're not throwing around company wars for no reason. What we're doing to talking about what we would like to see adapted from Punisher comics into the live action Punisher show. That's pretty Cred Forums man.

They could honestly just do a straight adaptation of any of Ennis' MAX run and I'd be thrilled.

>let me ignore all of the fan casting and production shit so I can pretend this isn't a Cred Forums thread

Ah, you are right, wellp, guess you better report the thread and move onto something else. Why did you even come into this thread to begin with?

Frank's big gun.

because I saw your asinine post about how Cred Forums is a good thing on the front page

WOOLIE

Does anyone have a full list of pictures of Frank luring that pedophile over the internet? I've only ever seen the first one where they're both messaging each other.

>see a post in a thread you don't like
>don't report the thread and move on
>instead come into said thread and bump it back to the front page

Stealing pies and telling lies

Frank completely alone, or at the very least, teaming up with microchip, and the only woman on the show to be the villain, not a romantic tie in, not someone trying to fix him, just some evil bitch that does bad things.

Tired of EVERYTHING needing a romantic subplot and I'm sorry it just doesnt fit the punisher, fuck I'll even settle for flashbacks of his wife over that, just let Frank, Frank.

This is one of my favorite comic pages of all time. I'd love to see it adapted.

I WANT FRANK TO GROW A BEARD!

Does the actor look good in a beard?

I can't report Cred Forums threads currently, I'll get banned. There's also a way to make threads not bump when you post in them, but I won't mention that because I got banned the last time I did that.

Terry Crews has the physicality and energetic comedic chops for the role, he's also affordable for Netflix.

Watch Gamer, he's basically Cuda in that.

Yeah. Imagine this but not so cleaned up I guess.

Are you sure you're doing it right? You just click the report link, click "Rule Violation" and then solve the captacha. Easy pesy.

it makes me very happy that you get banned for being so autistic

I want solid frank beard, he has gruff potential.

>likes the MCU
>calls others autistic

wasn't he used as a model for some barracuda covers?

Just keep bumping the thread.

Also, anons, seeing as how JJ started refrencing the MGH (IGH) how would you feel about seeing some super powered jobbers get Frank'ed?

I think it'd be better received if it was as grounded as possible without any superpowers, for example peoples least favorite part of Daredevil is anything Hand related

personally I'd be fine seeing him killing all sorts of villains from the rest of the MCU, like minor HYDRA agents, Red Room assassins or the real Mandarin or whatever, but I presume Feige would have a tizzy about it

>peoples least favorite part of Daredevil is anything Hand related
And Elektra, god she was horrible.

I want something from Dixon's run, but I'm not certain on what, and I'm not confident about how much pre-Ennis Frank anyone is willing to accept. It would be funny to see a scene of Frank telling an escort that she smells like his wife or narrate it. Would audiences be able to accept Frank having a sex life?

I didn't mind the stuff with the Hand I just had wished they had set it up a little more, but if it all carries over into season 3 I'll be happy. To be honest, as a huge casual to DD and The Hand I was really looking forward to Matt dealing with then ever since season 1 teased us with Stick and Nobu.

>Frank'll never appear in any of the movies, probably not even in AoS

He better get lots of guest star appearances in the other Netflix shows. Too useful of a character story wise to waste.

Maby take the middle road then.
Starts off with Frank killing bad guys and causing some collateral damage.
He later sees a report on TV, about an innocent dock worker who was wounded and left paralyses, during a shoot out on a docks that Frank was involved in. The young man's father is interview and says that he's just happy his son is alive, that he doesn't want to imagine what would have happened if his son was killed.
This hits a nerve with Frank, which leads to him planning out his hits/raids/attacks more thoroughly, to minimize civilian casualties and damage and we get to see Frank perfect being the Punisher.

An episode with no guns
Just his fist a bat and a 2 by 4

That would be acceptable since he's only just started Franking, hell he already seemed sloppy running through a hospital with a shotgun.

Oh man, I was thinking about this since rumors of the street levels getting their own Netflix series. That would be so great.

Honestly, he's probably the only Marvel main character I'm okay with not making a cameo in the movies.

That was a really weird Jack Daniels commercial

>He thinks saging works

You know what I want? I want someone to survive a franking. Not like a "FRANK KNEW AND WAS FOLLOWING HIM" type of thing, but a legit story about a criminal who barely gets away with his life.

Might be interesting to see what they do with it.

if they do Jigsaw that'll probably happen since he survives his face getting fucked up

is there a similar situation in the war on terror that could happen in? we don't really have base sieges against the US anymore

Probably, yeah. Maybe they're patrolling outside some tiny village, and their humvee gets hit by an IED and the radio's taken down. The talibans just come out in full force and Frank's only way out is to Frank them all.

Just pass it off as his English skills being really lackluster.

>not having flashbacks to Frank surviving benghazi and the final boss of the season being Hillary Clinton

>and the only woman on the show to be the villain, not a romantic tie in, not someone trying to fix him, just some evil bitch that does bad things.

So, Ma Gnucci?

see

No, it wouldn't, you absolute pleb. "What if the Punisher had superpowers all along?" is a disgusting thought and a travesty how does such a cancerous idea even conceive in your head?

Real talk, the closest thing to a super power Frank should have is his ability to stomach massive amounts of violence and gore and perform acts of incredible cruelty without hesitation

Frank is a type of character that does not need to be in a superhero universe at all. He's got no powers, his enemies usually don't (since he goes after regular organized crime rather than super villains usually) and the fact that he kills people goes against usual super hero style. Not to mention that usual threats big name superheroes face would usually squash him like a no-name soldier background character. Frank would be of little tactical help against Ultron (much like Hawkeye was; he served more as team glue and Frank is not that guy).

He's as anti-hero as it gets.

MCD's greatest moments thread?

youtube.com/watch?v=hvNO8IYneB4

Face from the new Punisher run has potential.

He's already survived a story arc, putting him ahead of most Punisher villains.

I really hope they include Microchip and don't kill him off. Frank + tech jew is always good

They did that in main universe, too.

Fuck MAX. It shits too much on Frank as a person.

Good. Fuck your autistic crusade.

His backstory makes him a lot less sympathetic but I didn't hate it. I actually thought it added an interesting level of complexity to his character.

Talking about a comic adaptation is relevant because it's a discussion about characters and arcs from the franchise, dingus. Quit being an ass.

They already mentioned this happening in one of the court scenes in DDS2 about an ambush where in the end Frank was 'smiling with dead moors all around him'.

Everyone would complain that it's too similar to the 2004 movie.

I'd really like it if in future Netflix series there's just "the Frank Episode", Murdock has figured out where these bad guys are operating and he's about to go on in when a car reverses out the top level of a multi-storey carpark and flattens the guards outside while gunfire blows out the windows.

Luke Cage is roughing up some thugs who stole some ladies zimmerframe and suddenly their heads pop like over ripe melons.

Jessica is following up on an abducted child, traces them to an abandoned shipping warehouse, fucking everyone is dead with a note saying "Sorted" stapled to the door.

>character who collects a variety of faces
>art is done by Steve Dillon

fuck you

We've had several FOBs and COPs get overrun/almost overun in Afghanistan. Hey just only had four or fiveUS Soldiers and the rest were ANA.

Theres plenty of people on the record saying that guy was a giant piece of shit. I for one am glad he got flushed.

>When he stabs the guy with the stake and pushes it all the way through, you can see the stake start to pop out

It really is the little things.

jigsaw

I'd like to see him frank the frank with his frank.

Unless maybe they actually make him like the comic version and let him talk.

>I want something from Dixon's run, but I'm not certain on what, and I'm not confident about how much pre-Ennis Frank anyone is willing to accept.

They could try an adaptation of the first War Zone arc.

What if they got Thomas Jane to play Jigsaw?.

If Marvel is going to get Thomas Jane back for something, I'd want it to be for a Punisher animated series. He's got a great voice for the character.
youtube.com/watch?v=BIXsaabAcbg

there was a 2004 movie?!

what? cunts not a swearword
ur a fucking yank arent you
do tumblrs even care abotu swearwords

There are 3 Punisher movies.

Its the only halfway decent one

My nigga that game is so Goat

Yeah, Jane has the best Punisher voice.it's soothing and matter of fact. Bernthal was growled and roared a little too much, but it's early in his career, and usually during moments of violence. When I read The Cell, I hear Jane's voice when Frank said "I'm going to start the Killing now."

Episodes with no overarching story. Just self-contained stories of him wiping out individual gangs/murderers/mob bosses/rapists/etc.

Fuck I need to watch this season again

Or find a Frank supercut because I couldn't give less of a fuck about Elektra

I want a romantic subplot to be introduced but completely shut down by Frank.

They will probably introduce joan and do exactly that

Ennis Frank in the MCU NYC killing dudes in increasingly violent ways. That's it. That's all I ask.

subtle

Warzone had its moments.

I can see why it would be annoying to have such a grim character in a bright and colorful cape continuity, but I have to say I love the moments when Frank defeats superpowered villains with guerilla warfare tactics or just being ruthless. It's like how in every genre story there's always a moment where you go "why doesn't someone just get a gun and shoot this guy if he's so dangerous?" but Frank actually does.

Seconded.

youtube.com/watch?v=FmKNV4vpGrE

Seriously, tell me that this man is not fit to play the part of Barracuda

I'm curious about this guy. What's his deal?

He's a competent chief henchman and apparently likes skinning faces. That's all I know so far.

Didn't expect him to survive, but since he has, he might get a backstory. He might also have just gotten permanent drug induced superpowers.

baraccuda is the only logical choice 1 of the best villians ennis ever created besides herr starr... racism sells kids

I feel like maybe they should save him for season 2, he's too good an antagonist to blow their load on right away

It's two storylines that most Punisher villains don't make it through.

Though even if they do they tend to fall into comic book limbo.

Dolph Lundgren as The Russian.

Why does it look like he is holding a invisible sword?

>it's soothing and matter of fact
The delivery is unnerving at times. Like the one-liners almost never come across as corny, they add to the gruesomeness

clutching at the stump of his hand that got shot off
