What kind of sick fuck would hate Ronaldo?

I was gonna say the same thing. Ronaldos great.

Lars is worse, like way worse

...

Nobody hates that

I relate to lars, thats why i route for him to get better
Only good for porn

>What kind of sick fuck would hate Ronaldo?

We all know who: the "people" he EXPOSES.

after that one episode I was expecting Ronaldo to become, like, a lighthearted Lex Luthor-esque recurring "villain" that was always out to expose the Cyrstal Gems for the "monsters" they are

kind of turn him into a caricature to poke fun at the people who take the show to seriously, the ones who always ask "why doesn't the government do something about the crystal gems? why is everybody so nonchalant about gem stuff?"

That would be great. Have be technically be there "nemesis" but they still invite him to parties and acting friendly to him. Sorta like a robbie rotten for steven universe.

Ronaldo is funny as a background character but he can't carry an episode

ronaldofags have a victim complex, and they tend to hate the show itself because of it.

I feel like if they expand on him he could, especially have him and his QT gf solving a mystery.

I would fucking love an episode where he breaks into the house and ends up sneaking into the temple, and the Gems are just chasing him all through the place, and he manages to avoid them through a combination of determination, luck, and Heelies.

Episode ends with him reaching the bubble room and accidentally setting something free. Shit, maybe he lets something/one important out. Could be a good springboard ep for more plot/lore.

seconded both. i think ronaldo is hilarious, and i think korra is a pretty endearing character despite all the dumb shit she did in like season 2 and stuff. i like her. i don't know why, but one of her moments that always stood out for me was in season 1 (can't remember which episode) where she just lifts up the whole Tenzin family at once with her bare hands to give them all a big hug. there were a lot of little moments like that one that endeared me to her as a character.

Ok, maybe not so much.

>i like her. i don't know why,

Because she's a good character stuck in a horrible show.

yeah, i guess that's it, haha. or rather, she wasn't as good of a character as she could have been, since they messed up the writing for her a lot of times. so it's more that she deserved a more competent writing crew, both for herself and for the rest of the story. feels bad man. she deserved better.

I can see somehow, Ronaldo fusing with a corrupted gem for some reason, and horribly misusing his powers. Like he becomes a magical boy....girl...monster.....entity....and garnet has to get him away from that kind of power because he treats it like one of his japanese animes.

...

he's actually pretty damn hilarious

I cant hate steven but i can say hes one of the worst gems imo. I dunno i think its a mix of him feeling like a gary stu and him being more human than gem, but i cant hate him with how lovable he his

I think the show took a while to find its "voice." What I like about Steven that I think kind of sets him apart from the "Gary Stu kid gets to accompany superheroes" pack is that as the show goes on his whole thing is empathy. Like Steven's best insights come from him being endlessly empathetic to others.
Like they wouldn't have even known about the Cluster at all if Steven hadn't noticed that Peridot was afraid of something other than getting beaten up by the Gems and that he thought it was important to know.
If I have an issue it's that his maturity levels are all over the map with that. In one episode he'll be doing a sort "wisdom from the mouth of babes" kind of thing, and in the next one he'll be like a magically empowered psychoanalyst.

If you actually pay attention to his episodes, the only arc that makes sense for him is one where he gets to move the fuck out of Beach City to some place with the lowest Magical Bullshit rate possible. I can only assume that's something you can look up along with crime rate when you go apartment hunting

Actually, it seems like most of the magical bullshit is centered around Beach City. As long as you stay away from there and from any wilderness areas with large, imposing crystalline ruins it seems to me like you'd be fine.

As to the thread theme, I'd also say Greg Universe. He may not be able to keep up with all the magical bullshit and may not be that tall/smart/etc. But he genuinely cares for his son.
As far as, "the Dad that didn't get custody" sort of character, I think Greg is one of the most positive examples that you'll find.

She's such an over-the-top bitch that she bounces back to being entertaining.

...

...

>Steven is a frighteningly underdeveloped boy both physically and mentally, which is to a great extent not helped by the Gem's questionable guardianship, but I hold nothing against the character.
>Ronaldo is just some NEET who gets buttfucked by Onion every night. Can't really dislike him either. He gives Onion pleasure by letting him sprout.
>fucking hate Lars though.

Luan. Luan gets a lot of shit, and frankly a lot of it is well deserved. But she strikes me as someone whose more obnoxious out of necessity. She always seemed to be very lonely with few friends outside of her immediate family, desperate for the validation of her peers. I guess I just feel sorry for her more than anything... She's still a great Yandere.

Waifu

>As to the thread theme, I'd also say Greg Universe

Dude, Gerg is problably the most loved character from the show.
