Pat was right and although VAs certainly help to give the character life, ultimately its not THEIR character. The best case scenario is always having one consistent and defined voice naturally but that's very much not always the case.

This is something I'd rather not know. Not because I'm uninterested, but because we don't need autists bombarding them with stupid question about it. They're professionals, working in a genre often seen as for kids. At best, they can express good humor about it. At worst, they'll end up saying something that alienates the rabid fans, riles up the trolls, or gets themselves fired. There's just no need for that.

Seriously, it seems like if anything, it ought to be the head writer/show creator whose feelings are more relevant than the voice actors when it comes to misappropriation of the characters.

Considering they're involved in an industry (animation) that's like 110% perverts, they're likely voice acting instead of real acting for a reason and most actors are weird attention whores anyways I'm going to guess that the reaction of the average VA to this shit is fairly likely to be different than the reaction of your average normie

Imo, the longer people are in the industry, the more accustomed they grew to it. Steve Blum for example is pretty chill.

I've met a lot of latin american dub vas and most of them are happy to encourage the fans - both Gerardo Reyero and Pepe Vilchis are HARDCORE shippers and when hosting panels they'll acknowledge that women fantasize about their characters (and their voices, by extend).
