>Recent leaks are tossing around a rumor that writers of the Untitled Avengers sequels Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have tapped famed Marvel Comics writer Brian Michael Bendis to help develop a story treatment for the two movies. Sources say he is only helping with the plot outline while Markus and McFeely will handle the actual screenplay and script.
What did they mean by this?
Liam Cooper
Bendis?
Oliver Sullivan
What's the source for this one?
Jacob Nelson
Doubtful.
Feige had Disney disband the MCU Creative Committee to get away from Bendis' bullshit.
Joseph Kelly
Bendis. Brian Michael Bendis.
Carter Gonzalez
Oh, for fuck's sake not this fake-ass fanfiction "leak" crap again.
Their ass.
Anthony Price
I thought so, since this smells.
Connor Parker
OP might be bullshitting but I honestly believe him. Bendis has worked on the MCU before and is good friends with Markus and McFeely. Just because the Creative Committee was disbanded it doesn't mean they can't bring Bendis in.
Keep in mind Infinity Wars are going to be the most comic booky MCU films of them all so Markeely might need some help from an actual comic book writer to handle the workload.
Liam Rogers
It could be true because lots of movies use multiple writers in addition to the credited writers, and calling in someone to help with the story is common.
On the other hand it could just as easily be made up.
In the end Kevin Feige decides what stays in anyway.
Jacob Morales
You know, it might not be awful if it's true. Bendis comes up with a rough event outline and M&M can highly improve on it the way they always have from source material. Them doing the script means no Bendis speak or shit characterization, them handling it will minimize all his writing weaknesses since he won't even be writing.
I think what they're probably struggling with at the moment is there's less and less source material to pull from when the MCU has deviated so far from the comics. There's just not much to adapt, so getting some plot ideas from a comic writer could at least get them rolling.
Oliver Morris
bullshit.
Joseph Lopez
>making shit up to trigger people wew
Nathan Lewis
If the past has shown anything it's that the MCU is more apt to hire outside writers and filmmakers to do touch ups on films than anyone at Marvel. The CC was a anvil weighing down the potential for these movies and now they're rid of it. Why the fuck would they go back? Especially to Bendis when it's clear that he's lost his touch as a writer. No fucking way would Feige be down with that. Besides there are plenty of other writers they could go to that do a better job of handling big cosmic events than Bendis. You guys are schmucks for believing obvious b8
James Cooper
"What do you suggest, Brian?"
"Make Wanda's powers random and make her the real baddie...kill Scott Lang in the intro, have Clint rape Wanda, also have Rocket Racoon say blammo alot and put the Guardians on Earth."
Parker Miller
They ask Bendis so they know what not to do.
Kayden Lewis
memeing aside I do think they're going to kill Scott Lang. He's lovable enough to be a favorite but expendable enough to off and still have someone else fill in after IW. Also set photos have implied Gaurdians will be on Earth at some point in GotG2.
Andrew Williams
They should get a writer with an actual imagination, then.
Nathaniel Hernandez
>MCU >Bendis
John Young
M8 Ant-Man & Wasp comes out after Infinity War.
Jason Thomas
source or GTFO
Luke Allen
>tapped famed Marvel Comics writer Brian Michael Bendis Fake as Fuck
Elijah Scott
That's clear fanfiction but if their gonna bring in anyone for the next 2 avengers it should be starlin
Adrian Young
>Bendis
>MCU
He wouldn't actually do it would he?
Ethan Baker
>Markus and McFeely will handle the script relax, people
Isaac Smith
at this point, Marvel studios does Marvel better than their own comic book writers.
