In homeroom we'd have a tv for the childrens news program that the school had everyone watch. But after that was done and everyone got to chat, a random classmate would get up switch the channel, and without fail it was always cartoon network with Pup Named Scooby Doo on. Somehow it even brought a class of asshole middle schoolers together.

I know that, but I mean does Shaggy in Pup grow up to be green shirt shaggy or grow up and change into a red shirt? If we take What's new scooby doo into canon then it'd be clear it's Green shirt. But what if What's new isn't actually canon and is a purgatory of sorts?

Red shirt shaggy is from 13 ghosts of Scooby Doo and the movies where he has the girlfriend. I believe those are canon as well and are supposed to take place sometime after the original series. and mystery incorporated is supposed to be considered technically canon as it takes place before scooby doo where are you.
