Disney were planning a sequel and a cartoon series like Tarzan but it's failure at the box office stopped that from happening. It failed mainly because there were so many big films releasing alongside it like Lord of the Rings Two Towers, Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets, Lilo and Stitch, 007 Die another Day.

Also given that it was under-marketed, it never stood a chance sadly.

It sucks that we'lol never see more of her.

she's ugly.

They killed off the best character

I didn't even like the setting. Oh wow, pirate ships in space. bravo

This movie was the definition of mediocre.

Obligatory.

>and Spider-man
>and Attack of the Clones
No wonder they bought both

Because Disney action movies always flop

...

>characters are lame
>some of the more faithful depictions from the book
The very definition of plebian.

Well there was a decent game for it.

...

Why would disney release two movies At the sane time in the same category?

the planetarium show thing was great

>planetarium show thing
The map?

Its probably the closest well get to a Spelljammer movie.

no they had this thing at madame tussads back in 2003

Oh you mean IRL. Can't say I ever saw that stuff.

>Spelljammer
Now you got me curious

2nd Edition D&D setting

Came about when the execs asked for Star Wars in D&D, so they made a fantasy sci-fi setting using 17th century theories about Space.Such as objects leaving the atmosphere taking air with them, solar systems are contained within crystal spheres, etc..

The 'spaceships' were seagoing vessels magically enchanted to fly.

Sounds neat, might be worth a try. Is the book available somewhere online?

Really liked Long John and Jim in the movie.

Plus his mom was pretty hot

It's a shame its legacy as a box office failure cements it as another one of those obscure Disney movies.

The PDF's are all online, but keep in mind you'll also need the 2nd Edition Advanced D&D books as well.Go check out the /tg/ PDF threads for them.

why would you need the D&D books to read a book? Unless it's just a scenario?

Might as well, thanks.

Perhaps it's lacking stuff. I'll admit the only /tg/ stuff I have is a boatload of Crimson Skies books, but most of those are useless unless you also have the base rules to go along because they only have scenarios and some additional rules.

The tortures soles in his floor get me every time.

You need to get your eyes ....or your gay checked.

Is it normal that I'd completely forgotten about the robot up to rewatching it?

Someone also needs to post more Amalia

Treasure Planet is one of my absolute favorite Disney movies. I might be biased snce I love pirate stuff, but I liked the characters, the setting, holy shit, the backgrounds were great, especially the planet BEN was on.

Think I might just watch that today.

It's surprisingly difficult to design a good looking sailing vessel.

...

TFW no decent statue or action figure of Amelia.

would you Cred Forums?
I would

>tfw no bottleship of the Legacy

How could you not?

How the fuck did she spawn children so fucking fast though?

You underestimate how big a fuck up Disney's animation output was under Eisner.

For comparison: Disney released three theatrical animated features from 1990 to 1993, one of which was a sequel (rescuers Down Under).

Disney released ELEVEN theatrical animated features between 2000 and 2003, four of them sequels, one a TV spinoff. Also, SIXTEEN direct to video sequels or spin-offs.

Disney movies went from being events for the whole family to being disposable kiddie schlock. Eisner flooded the market.

she's the male

>you will never make her smile like this
>never hear her laugh
I need to go lie down

How does that explain anything?

>you will never hunt pirates with her
>you will never fight at not!Trafalgar with her

...

>TV series
Did its plot by any chance get recycled in the video game?

No clue, but it could be.

Still a shame the game has as basic fleet commands and all.

What would you have liked them to add on it?

>Data of the ship labled TP was found in the 3DS game.
>This means Treasure Planet's chances of finally getting a world in Kingdom Hearts 3 are more likely.

I don't know, but it just feels a bit lackluster on the orders for an RTS.

As is it's mostly just clicking where to go and hoping they'll attack what you want them to. Subsystem targeting and all that junk would've made sense in this kind of game. Can't say I played it but the recent Battlefleet Gothic Armada comes to mind.

Unless I'm missing something.

Also that torpedo boat at the start is a heap of junk.

So who thought that world war era battleship design was a good thing to use for the ironclads in this game?

I dunno, i think it doesn't have enough brass and white paint on it to be a WW1 era ship, but a pre-WW1 era iron clad definitely.

My point was more the overall look. Personally I would've gone with something like the Skies of Arcadia ships or revolutionary war ironclads.

Just to not have the designs clash as much with the sail ships.

Because Doctor Doppler was the one who got pregnant

You say that like that shit would change how long it takes to shit out a baby.
