Could someone point out all the easter eggs in Luke Cage? I heard even Justin Hammer was mentioned at one point....

Or you could watch it yourself and look for them.

some guy questioning why Luke doesnt have any credit card, drivers license or criminal record
then mentioned he's surprised he's not a pornstar for BLACKED™

i've only seen the first episode, but there's an arms deal at the very start involving Hammer weaponry.
>There's also a dude selling blu-rays of 'the incident' (footage of avengers 1).
>some dude calls Luke 'Power Man' at the start.
That's the ones i remember from the first episode, sure there are more i missed/have forgotten

>I heard even Justin Hammer was mentioned at one point
They said that "experiments and billionaires in the basement [of Seagate] are a myth" at some point.

I'm guessing Hammer was behind it all, given his connection to diamondback. Shame they didn't actually get Sam Rockwell, but oh well.

>Shame they didn't actually get Sam Rockwell
This. It's not like he has anything better to do nowadays. He could totally appear on AoS at least, since he was in both of Clark Glegg movies

>This. It's not like he has anything better to do nowadays.
Dude's a bit above AoS paygrade, to be fair.

Netflix should be game, though. I think Netflix is trying actively not to need the movies, so someone can binge them without missing out. It's smart, but a bit blue-ball inducing.

>luke cage beats up some thugs terrorizing his landlord
>she offers him money and says she wants to pay him to protect her diner
>luke declines saying he's not for hire

Im only 3 episodes in and havent noticed much besides the ones already mentioned

He certainly has better things to do than appear in garbage
>fool me once...

prepping up for your next video, James?

They make a lot of basketball/hip hop/black culture namedrops and jokes in the first 2 or 3 episodes, but they don't lampshade them, so it goes by.

I liked how a lot of the episodes had them talk about mundane things. Really sold me on characters like Pop and Cottonmouth and even Diamondback. They humanised their characters pretty well. Only Mariah felt a bit short-handed, but she won by a country mile, so I guess that's part of the point. It felt like luck and not art, but I could be wrong.

Turk returned for a few episodes

They reference Thor alot especially cause of his silver hammer.

Turk is the absolute best character.

>"I'm going back to Hell's Kitchen where it's safe."
>"Ain't been a door built that can hold me"
>Weaseling his way through the leading mafias and always escaping one way or another.

I'm hoping they have him try the stilt-man legs and just fall flat on his face for a nice comic relief.

Turk just can't catch a break and it's hilarious.

What did Bobby Fish comment on Diamondback's costume?

I don't remember, but it was fucking hilarious.

Him and Turk talking shit over chess was funny too. And the fit he was wearing in episode 3 was /fa/ as fuck.

Mr. Robot, The Get Down, Luke Cage, I can't escape that nigga.

>There is new Hammer Tech which is central to the storyline. The tech is made with chitauri metal that was salvaged after the Battle of New York. Justin Hammer is name checked pretty frequently and you see the cases his tech comes in with Hammer Industries in them, which are exactly like the ones in Iron Man 2

>The Avengers get the most acknowledgement in LC than they have had in any Netflix show, but they are usually referenced as "spandex wearing" or "big green giant/guy with hammer".

>Some guy is selling DVD's of footage taken during the "incident" (Battle of New York) Luke Cage is referred to as "Harlem's Captain America." Luke's friends suggests he try out for the "Giants" (The Avengers) but he says no, he couldn't deal with being in the public eye.

>Trish Walker's radio show makes an appearance.

>Claire brings up Matt when Luke needs a lawyer (he always refuses) and

>Jessica is named once by Claire, but is referred to by another character as the woman "who snapped a man's neck because he was "mind controlling" her".

"What type of Jean Paul Gaultier shit is this? What are you, a pimp stormtrooper?"

He was the best. All he wanted to was play chess and keep Pop's shop in good condition (with no success)

YES!

That's what he said!

>you got a new car, a nice girl, and you bullet proof
>If I had all that you wouldn't see my black ass gain
Bobby was great

You forgot Method Man namedropping Iron Man in his rap

>Diamondback anwsers "No, I'm the angel of death." in all seriousness
I love how nutty he was

He was probably the best main villain in all of these Netflix shows.

>I love how nutty he was
Same
>his fucking Bible
>mfw

Cottonmouth called Black Mariah "Black Mariah"

So what was that, referring to her "Keep Harlem Black" thing? Cause in the comics it's a reference to paddy wagons.

Wait, did no one realize he was in his powerman costume after escaping Seagate?

Yes, he said it teasingly too.

Pic was posted in earlier threads so yes, we realized it.

That's good. Just finished watching and surprised it's not one of the first things posted.

Haven't finished the season and I am not sure if this counts. Clair mentions she wants to help powered people for a career, which alludes to what we all pretty much knew as her finally becoming Night Nurse.

I think she's actually called that too. Jokingly, I think I remember.

Mariah was giving Cottonmouth shit about his methods when she mentioned Fisk by name, comparing the two, "remember what happened to Fisk"

So wait, no one mentions Hulk's fight against Abomination? Even though that happened in Harlem, where this show takes place?

You would think someone would remember that...

Luke Cage is prolly the most connected marvel show so far.

I just wanna add that they mention the Punisher when talking about a dangerous new weapon that could hurt Cage and potentially other special people. Some guy said that Castle shot up half the town with just normal bullets, with this kind of firepower it would be worse.

And Claire says she has a lawyer friend that can help Luke at one point.

somebody mentioned "green monsters"

not one, but monsters plural

Are the events of Jessica Jones referenced at all?

It's mentioned that Jessica Jones snapped the neck of a guy who "mind controlled her" but it's said with disbelief, like she was lying.

>The only Superfreak we like is Rick James

I laughed my ass off when I saw that sign during Mariah's peaceful protest in Harlem's Paradise.

Yeah, a few times.

Jessica shooting Luke. Claire fixing him up. Jessica killing Kilgrave.

In the first episode in the drawn out sex scene between Misty and Luke, Luke says "Sweet Christmas, it's like you have a vibranium arm" as she jerks off his BBC she replies "lol, jk, Ironfist, haha more like Iron fisting, kek" it was a weird scene, especially the end where we see Uatu peeking through the window, personally it felt a little shoehorned but what ever I liked it.

They show him in his classic costume and tiara, then he says it looks retarded and takes it off.
