I'm pretty sure OP's joke has only ever been done in cartoons.

>"oh look, it's this ass/fat ass"
>pans to reveal a(n overweight) donkey

Russell Brand sort of used this joke in one of his stand up shows

I could fill this thread with my favorite puns and wordplay, but that would be too easy.

>character gets shocked
>their skeleton is visible

BONUS:
>their skeleton has a visual gag with it i.e. their skull is empty or their hair has bones

>Character starts giving a dramatic speech with appropriate music in background.
>Halfway through its revealed the music is coming from something in universe and the character stops the speech to yell at the other character to turn it off.

Gets me every time.

>Character is depressed and turns on the radio
>Every station is playing a depressing song

>character tells another character to pull/push buttons or levers
>"NO NOT THAT ONE!"
>insert funny event at their expense

>damsel in distress
>iron fuse bombs
>floating eyeballs in the darkness
>lame joke at the end of an episode
>growing massive lumps after being hit on the head
>irrelevant mushroom trip sequence
>villain in tophat and monocle tying a bitch to the railroad tracks
>girl next door
>raspy henchmen voices like Guldo from the ginyu force

Zootopia?

>some sort of damage off screen
>Cat yell, "MY LEG", that scream

Gets me every time.

That's not a trope though, that's a recurring joke within a single show.

>transformation into superpowered form takes forever
>no one ever points it out

>the episode ends with everyone laughing

>Character makes ridiculous leap in logic
>Later, another character makes the exact same ridiculous leap in logic, and/or it proves to be correct

Bojack Horseman

>"dont push this botton"
>"this one?"
>push it

user most of this Jokes are only made in cartoon

Shit, thought you meant ones you don't like. It's pretty funny if there's some reaction, like a pan to the villain's face. Pic semi-related.

>transformation into superpowered form takes forever
>it gets pointed out or subverted after happening a few times

I distinctly remember an instance where a character had a bone in their skull instead of a brain.
Also pic related was pretty great.

The bone in skull might have been Billy and Mandy now that I think of it.

It's not a cliche if it has only happened once, retard.

Really, I just like any permutation of "character goes to form of media to try and distract from something yet they are constantly being reminded of it"

>Character walks into an absurd/violent situation, instantly turns around on their heels and leaves with expression barely changing

>throw an object off screen
>cat yowls

>Character goes through life threatening situation
>Wants to do it again afterwards

I don't know what it's called or if there's even a term for it, but I love it when characters get into a fight and the fight is represented by a cloud of smoke with fists and feet popping out of it.

This was great in force awakens

This might be a bit vague, but anytime a cartoon points out that its a cartoon or just breaks the 4th wall is almost always funny. I'll give a few good examples.

American Dad
>Steve, locked in Hayley's closet: Let us out or I'll burn your clothes!
>Hayley: Go ahead! If you haven't noticed I wear the same thing everyday.

Spongebob
>Sandy: I give him a week.
>Squidward: I give him 11 minutes.

And the hands down greatest, Chowder

>the show's creator hides his initials in a character's design
The MG in Homer's hair and ear and the CMC in Sylvia's saddle frills are the only two examples I can think of, but it's such a cute touch.

>"Look behind you!"
> "Like I'm gonna fall for that"
> There really is something behind him

>Hot person on screen
>Saxophone music

>Why do we even have that lever?

>Something gets caught in character's throat while they laugh

>Bojack Horseman
>Zootopia

>Throws a random, harmless object off screen.
>Cue random car crashes, explosions and the occasional "MY LEG!"

>character exists

>I don't think that's the last we've seen of X
>Cut to X dead or dying

>Villain does his laundry at the laundromat with the heroes.
>Villain pays taxes/is afraid of the IRS
>Villain gets star struck when he meets a celebrity

I need to see a transformation being interrupted.

>Villain on their everyday stuff
>Nothing nefarious
>Hero bursts in; someone is causing trouble and they blame the villain
>Villain says he didnĀ“t do nothing
>Villain threatens to sue
>Hero begrudgingly leaves

>Transformation process takes a bit of time
>Villain activates his plan mid transformation
