DirecTV has good bandwidth and bitrate, picture quality is better than your average cable.
The whole "losing connection all the fucking time whenever there's bad weather" thing is pretty much an American problem, one caused by installers not knowing what they're doing. The majority of pay TV in the UK is satellite and it's not nearly as common of an issue.

The guy's at his best when he's being a lot more irreverent; check out his work from CalArts. Plus, Dan & Swampy had already been working in the animation industry long before PnF was picked up; and even then, they were a DUO of creators!
