YouTube is the removing the monetization of videos that it deems offensive, they did this is because of advertiser pressure. This is affecting content creators who are now worried that they can't just do whatever they want to anymore.
What would happen if people wrote to advertisers and asked them to address a glaring problem with comments on YouTube?
At the moment people think that they should be allowed to post ridiculous things in the comments, this needs to change.
I'd invite all of you who care about this to write to advertisers like I and others online are doing to get them to pressure YouTube in the same way.
The more people that get involved the better. All you need to do is go to YouTube and click on a video, visit the advertiser's website and email them.
This is one of mine that I wrote if you need an example:
"To whom it may concern,
I'm concerned about the comments I'm seeing on videos that your company is advertising on with YouTube. My daughter watches videos on YouTube and ends up seeing the most crude and disgusting comments left by people. These comments are left on videos that your company is advertising on and it's unfortunate and concerning to me as a long-time consumer of your products that you're supporting a website that deems it necessary for people to curse endlessly and say things like the 'n word' and 'r word' like it's no big deal.
Please ask YouTube to stop this practice of allowing anyone and everyone to post the most disgusting and inflammatory content, and please stop supporting them.
Also note that YouTube is losing money for Google, and they need to make advertisers happy to keep bringing in revenue for the company.
The more pressure we can apply right now the better this will go with censoring the comments.

No you idiot. Advertisers care about sales, and time their product is exposed. The most extreme actions they could ask is about the target characteristics like age or sex. The content it self that takes the attention of the viewers is not their fucking problem.
(((Youtube))) did this policy change to destroy any political or news-source on their site. Aswell as cutting payments to famous youtubers they dislike their content. Its a way of legitimate censorship while saving a lot of shekels.

Really? That's hilarious, this will backfire massively for Youtube. Although, it could be part of a payment plan for Youtube, like they are doing with Youtube red. This has been sent out to a lot of advertisers, things need to change on YouTube. Hopefully this forces YouTube to wake up and face the reality of what a company like them should be delivering for people.
It's fine to post whatever you want but there should be consequences, just like in the real world. If you go around screaming the n word and r word you'll get your head smashed in by people.
Stopping people or changing certain words will stop the propagation of words like this. Only disgusting and demented people want there to be people screaming this stuff out everywhere.
Make a difference and stop people from being stupid online and thinking they can get away with it, make sure YouTube is held accountable.

Why don't they just pay less and have different prices to advertise in different channels according to demand? I'm sure some companies would not mind advertising directly to "racists" and "bigots" if the price was low enough. Also, they would make so many out of it too.
