Others wear it as a reminder of their faith. The Christian God discerns the thoughts, motives, and intentions of men. Depending on the motive of the individual wearer, Jesus might take offense. Probably, none of the above examples would cause insult.

If someone were to adorn a crucifix or a cross (they are not interchangeable...there is a difference between the two and what they each represent) in order to give the impression that they are a Christian in order to gain favor or to manipulate someone who is genuinely a Christian, that would probably cause great insult to Jesus and draw his ire.
