I work in the high fashion industry and I see this issue clearly. However I don't think it woulf affect the brands you mentioned nor the high end brands. Millenials seem to have no concept of making money, dignity, style, socially acceptable behaviour and so on therefore they just wear peasant cothing from Uniqlo or H&M or forever 21. Not everyone, especially a millennial, has the money to drop $100+ on a shirt. Following the newest fashion trends to a T is simply unattainable unless you're born into money if you're young. Rent and groceries are more important.

I think when people hit their mid 20s and start working in a professional environment they realize that clothing can affect their career and step it up then. Until then, you really have no reason to stay trendy, presentable is good enough for most circumstances and if you're blue collar it really doesn't make a lick of difference either way.
