But I think it's a good way to start a discussion about human nature.
Communism has been tried and nobody understood it better than Stalin.
Of course you can't build an ideology in a vacuum, you have to factor in human nature and group dynamics.
A world view only stands as long as it's tried and tested.
The best ideologies are the ones which had a moderate amount of success.
I think in that light we can say that the the Republic is probably the most successful model of governance to date. Because not only it deals well with managing huge amounts of resources and people, but it leaves most of every day life things on the local level.

We are not all created equal and not every one is capible of inventing the iPhone or has the vision, intelligence and drive to start a company. My grandfather in school at about grade 8 was tested in a general aptitude test and assigned to trades school. He was trained as a machinist and that's all he did. When he Escaped the utopia and ended up on Canada he started his own wood shop. Trained as an engineer and successfully built a decent business employing 6 guys. Had he stayed he would have died running a lathe his whole life.
