Lapsed catholic here. I'm often so ashamed of the church these days, that I try not to think about it. I attend services every few weeks, but I'm no longer involved in any volunteer work in my parish. I've watched most parishes die in my lifetime, and priests seem to be replaced by Africans, Philipinos, and Peruvians. To me the church died with the last two popes.

Understandable. I'm quasi-lapsed. I find it difficult to attend modernist services but my area has no traditional latin mass. I try to attend anyway as a form of "keeping the faith" as it were. I think the overwhelming majority of people think the way that user you were replying to does. I've always been rather right-wing and considered myself to be "redpilled" (I wasn't), and boy was I fucking surprised when I learned that National Socialism/white nationalism/race realism/etc. is, in many regards, actually quite reasonable, and the adherents of these ideologies are not necessarily inherently hateful people that despise all other races apart from their own. In fact, I would think most NatSocs and such, although most likely harboring a completely natural dislike and/or distrust of other races, are at least willing to interact with them in a courteous, non-antagonistic manner, or even befriend them to some extent. This is not necessarily incompatible with the belief that the races differ from one another, and on a grander societal level, should eventually and ultimately be separate.

For instance, I recall the first time I listened to a George Lincoln Rockwell speech: I expected to hear a lot of badtalking of blacks and the like, but to my surprise, he actually sympathized with their situation, and expressed a desire to work with them in helping them secure their own nation. Anyway, I think these sorts of ideologies would be considered far more acceptable if it wasn't for the widespread misunderstandings that they're about abject hatred of other races and other such extremes.
