Patriotism cannot be demanded my friend, it is earned. And so far the gov hasn't done anything in the last 20 years to earn my patriotism, so a party advocating extreme nationalism will not be getting my vote.

I'd say that economically I fall into classical liberalism, socially I fall closer to today's liberalism, but not quite. And in terms of foreign policy I'd consider myself to sometimes be a neocon, but depending on the situation I might advocate a policy of non intervention. Bottom line when it comes to foreign policy, we should weigh our options carefully in every unique situation or end up in boondoggles like Nam, Iraq, and now Syria.

I've been to secretive leftist SJW forums like Cred Forums, but admittedly much less popular. Here's what they're like:

1) Absolutely everyone has some sort of mental disorder, usually depression. Drug addictions are also common. If you point out the obvious fact that leftist politics are hugely influenced by mental illness, you will be banned.

2) There are several safe space megathreads where people who identify as white/straight/male are simply not allowed to post. If you are known to be straight/white/male, you will be treated like shit in every thread, ESPECIALLY if you identify as an "ally." Guaranteed.

3) Authoritarian Communism is the official dogma, but libertarian leftists are somewhat tolerated. Leftists like to be edgy just like us, but they do it by calling themselves Stalinists/Maoists, denying the Holodomor, saying "fuck white people" and talking about murdering white fascists.

4) They hold regular Das Kapital reading challenges to try and get people to read that horrendously boring tome. People never finish unless they're die-hard commies.

5) Degeneracy is openly acceptable and even encouraged. For example, if you admit to being a cuck to shemale BBC, you'll be congratulated for your bravery.

It is extreme nationalism.

Everything is America first in his campaign. The global economy, foreign policy, trade deals, etc.

He wants to impose trade tariffs in an effort to help restore the economy, yet he knows the money brought in from that will be pennies and knows that it will negatively effect long term sustainability.

You only have to take a macro econ class to figure out trade tariffs are not good for either country involved. It's very basic economics.

The sole reasoning behind it is "well it feels right, and it feels like America would benefit, and it feels like a trade tariff is super American" when in actuality, free trade is the most American value of them all.

The 2nd Amendment should be taken seriously. You cannot form a militia without access to weapons. For that reason the only background checks that should be allowed are those that keep guns away from people that are mentally handicapped, schizos, autists, etc.

Background checks make sense if they're implemented properly, but I truly believe ex felons should be able to own a weapon and have the right to vote. The government should not be able to suppress their rights after incarceration besides when on parole.

We need an easier, cheaper way for immigrants to come into this country. This will decrease the demand for illegal immigration coyotes. Simply because the price of immigrating legally would cost less than going illegaly, price goes down, demand for legal immigration goes up.
That being said we still need a vetting system for refugees. In fact we have one right now in place that's working fine. Almost every terror attack has been by US citizens and hardly any by actual refugees. Think I read a figure today that 3 out of the almost 800k refugees that came here in the past 2 decades were terrorists and not one had a plan put to action, all were caught.

Healthcare should be a fundamental right for all citizens. Private insurances have failed the American people. That being said, the government should not mandate you be on an insurance. They should however put in place regulations that force reform in health insurance. Health insurance is too touchy to be left to market solutions because you're literally playing with people's lives.

That's my take on it.

I think that tariffs are bad because it will discourage people to buy our exports. If we are imposing a tax on their export, what's to stop them from doing the same to us which will negatively effect profit from said exports? I think that it would discourage trade with our country and discourage foreign investment into our businesses here at home. Both of which are bad.

Free trade allows for two companies to interact without fear of the government wanting in on it. Basically they can keep their grimy paws off of it, they get in the way of everything else already.
