Not really. There's kind of a huge divide in extreme metal subgenres. A lot of the really popular names in doom metal, melodeath, grindcore and extreme prog are very liberal. You don't find nearly as much blue-pilled musicians among black metal, goregrind, thrash metal and most death metal subgenres.
Stuff like traditional heavy metal and power metal is a mixed bag of liberals, conservatives, and random whackjobs.
The metal community practically had a melt down and divided when the frontman of Pantera started sieg heiling and giving white pride speeches.

As someone with a lot of metal in his DNA, it was kind of funny when I first saw Cred Forums's massive shift to traditionalism, "red pilling" and a generally right wing attitude. I realized just how many people never really had a reference for this kind of worldview and how much bullshit they had to wade through to reach some common sense.
In metal, being "red pilled" is kind of the standard attitude. There's certain common sense in things and metalheads are not ashamed to acknowledge it.
However, there's a new brand of metalhead that surfaced recently. Bred on In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce and various other festival freak bands - and most of all, the internet. This is a new take on metal as a commodity, alternative pop music for the normie who likes video games and his hair long. There's a lot of blue pill passed around these types and the accusations leveled against the guy being interviewed here come from that side of the fence.
So no, metal as a whole is not resistant to SJW influence. There's no singular metal community, really, just a lot of scattered clans.

I'm just pointing out the difference between him - the World of Warcraft addict with his ProTool'd Wacken fodder and how divorced he is from the the actual roots of metal and the underground which perpetuates those roots.
We can sit there all day and nitpick about how many different kinds of metalheads there actually are but it doesn't really matter. Especially to people who don't listen to metal. What really stands out is the difference between the oldschool and the internet neo-metalhead. They have next to no overlap in lifestyle, ideology or even music they listen to (apart from Iron Maiden).
