Aside from the legal issues that the other user mentioned, it's destroying our healthcare industry. The pre-existing condition clause has caused costs to spike so high that every insurance company is either going bankrupt or getting the fuck out of dodge, while providers are overwhelmed by caring for people who should really just be euthanized because they didn't take care of their damn health.

Are there any other solutions? You don't have public hospitals, so that makes life a lot harder. But I'd imagine that there are a lot of people who can't afford medical treatment without some kind of subsidization. So is there another way?

Not sure how other countries do it, but Obamacare took my insurance costs from $250 a month to $700 a month for coverage that is arguably worse. I'm a poorfag so this almost ruined me.

I liken it a bit to how the school system in America used to allow for a fair market price that people could pay. They could work their way through school. But the moment that government got involved in aiding students with loans, now schools could charge exorbitant rates because they knew students can get loans for it.
