I feel like increasing the bump limit could have unintended side-effects. At present there is a certain rhythm of opening a few threads in new tabs, making a few replies, watching new replies until they expire and then seeking out new threads. If threads lasted for 500 then I just wonder if this rhythm could be lost, or if threads outlive their usefulness and clutter up the board with more pointless discussion while sliding new threads being unnoticed because most people are in some 400+ reply thread hashing over the same crap again and again
