The higher castes get out of the country because they are picked on and their chances of a getting into a decent Uni and subsequently a job is far lesser than that of a lower caste. Shudra (according to British records) but in the general category, which means that I did not receive any state benefits.The caste I am from had owned vast swathes of land prior to British expansionism and typically held positions of aristocracy.
