D9 actually was a bit more complicated than that since it's arguable that had the aliens landed anywhere else shit would have gone smoother also most of the aliens were actually destructive morons that wasn't just propaganda so if anything the movie doesn't really seem to be pushing an agenda so much as saying "the apartheid was a complicated fucked up time".

It doesn't exactly conform to Cred Forums's ideals but it was far from leftist. There are a lot of different ways to interpret its message but "refugees are great, they're equal to us, they should live with us" is absolutely not something you should get.
That's probably the only one you were 100% wrong about, though. In time could be interpreted as showing how even in a society where people are given the same amount of time (money) to work with people choose to exploit each other. It's a stretch, though.
