Cred Forums has always been better with less moderation. Along with strange, off-topic, and poor posts, the board becomes more interesting as people attempt further and further abstract and creative jokes and arguments. Aggressively deleting posts and banning posters doesn't do anything to get rid of strange, off-topic, or poor posts. It doesn't change people's minds or change how they are. All it does is make people wary of posting and reduces the fast-paced creative nature of posting.

Writing posts is like a performance art that people do in the moment to produce entertainment. It can be fun, funny, insightful, informative, etc. All of these things are entertaining. With no moderation, people are more prone to this behavior. Context and timing are extremely important here, which is why you can't necessarily judge a post by its contents. What matters more is its place in the thread and in the wider history of the board.

You're being closed-minded and preferring to see things in a way that supports your conclusion, but ultimately your conclusion is wrong. For years now the only thing preventing mods from removing everything they don't like is the speed of the boards. There's too much to ban, and they've tried. The result of this is users and moderators having completely different tastes and the mods growing angry and spiteful of normal posters. If it were up to them the board wouldn't even exist, they would just ban everything that is identifiable as part of "Cred Forums" until it is a hollow shell with meaningless discussion and karma-seeking just like Reddit.

Expand it to filter posts with binary or other common means to achieve originality (or post length, as I propose) and posts with a low word diversity count. It can be fixed.
