As for the Founding Fathers, Washington was a military man, respected for his leadership. Jefferson was a lawyer and a delegate in the House of Burgesses. Franklin was just an all around genius; author, inventor, politician, statesman, postmaster, diplomat. John Adams was a lawyer. Hamilton was a writer, and a militiaman. Madison studied law, he was a politician, and he wrote the Constitution. John Jay was a lawyer.

Trump is a businessman, and a rather hit or miss one at that. He's had some successful real estate endeavors, but nearly everything else he's tried has failed. I'm not sure why you even thought to compare him to the Founding Fathers.

My mother and I love Trump. My father liked Ted Cruz, but not enough to go out and vote for him in the primary. My niece actually volunteered for Cruz's campaign, and my brother voted for Cruz in the primary. All are now voting for Trump in the general, even if they don't particularly like him.

I think only one of my coworkers actually likes Trump, and that's probably because she works closely with me often. I think that one more will vote for him in spite of not liking him because he dislikes Hillary more.
