Like six months ago I was making a satiric short film about consensual incest between two adults. First of all, trying to find actors was fucking brutal - they laughed while reading the script, but didn't have balls to step in front of the camera because it was "too controversial". The higher ups of the company I worked with had already given me greenlight to pursue the project, but then just as I was finishing the production, they backpedaled and started saying "no no, you can't do this, pls user, think again, are you sure you know what you are doing?" They were a) women b) leftist c) green d) complete opposite of Cred Forums in every possible way - the script hit too close to home for them.

I burned 3 months on a project that will never be released. I'm currently writing my first feature film. It will probably end my career before it even begins.

The funny thing is that the jokes that get the most laughs today are right-wing jokes that are just on the edge, or disguised as shock humor. They're offensive, but a skilled comedian manages to find a balance where they distance themselves from the joke they're making. I mean, look at cucks like Louis CK or half-cucks like Bill Burr. They get the most laughs when they're offensive and play with right-wing ideas. Look at Cartman and his Jew jokes. Without him, the show would be shit. There's also that old Jew Don Rickles.
Or look at the old show All in the Family. Archie gets a ton of laughs when he makes racist jokes, but they could only get away with it by painting him as a bigot. It's like it gave people an excuse to laugh at racism, without even knowing it.
Another thing that's frequently ignored is that humor is usually at its best when it's controversial, and historically speaking, conservative values have been the norm, so they're the ones that were ridiculed. Today, the situation is the opposite. The left-wing are in control, so we should have a ton of right-wing comedians, but the left is more oppressive than the right has been in 70 years, so yeah. Right-wing comedy is relegated to the underground.

Personally, I think right-wing humor is unparalleled. It doesn't hit the mainstream very often, but the right-wing humor that does exist is funnier than anything else I've come across.
