Holy shit that's spot on. A very similar thing happened in my town just outside of Corpus Christi. We have two separate towns within about a mile of each other. One is pretty average low-mid class, the other is a poor, cotton picking community. They shut down the school in the poor town and started busing the kids to our school. They had to open a second school across town and most of the original student body moved over to it.

the story seems to have him getting in and out of his car, but at the end they were going to break the window but he slowly stepped out and started backing away, but they say he had the gun in his hand (and maybe pointed it) so they shot him.
