I am enjoying this Godly concoction of broth, tripe, various cuts of beef with rice noddle that is known as phone. This is Vietnamese food, available in Canada, this is multiculturalism. But I don't get this. In the 70s america and Canada got a shit ton of refugees from Vietnam. They came after the war was lost. When they came here, they even conspired with the CIA to train an army of refugees to kick the north out. How come Muslim refugees are such huge cowards and their food so flavourless?

Middle Eastern cuisine has the highest variety of dishes in the world.
However a lot of it is extremely spicy, which leads to the cuisine becoming "Westernized" when served in restaurants in the developed world. It loses some of its attractiveness, just like Thai, or Indian food.
