I agree that a lot of Gen-Z does not do any type of socializing since most prefer their devices over any interaction (This includes me).

I doubt we will get screwed over by millennials, we are expected to be an entrepreneurial generation, and people are more willing to create their own businesses than being an employee at someone else's business.

I have some faith in my generation since it seems that we are more conservative than Millennials. We also have your typical progressives, but at least this generation will be more balanced out, even if it's by a bit.

I do know that Gen-Z is already having a problem with current employers since many businesses seem them as wanting to change things to revolve around them as opposed to doing what they are told. I wouldn't say that our generation is as idealistic as Millennials. A lot of surverys show that our generation is not politically active in settings such as college due to people wanting to get a degree, and move on with their lives. We will see what will happen. It's too soon to come up with any solid conclusions since our generation is still inclusive of children.

We're not even active in high school settings. When I was a freshman most of the clubs were run by millennial seniors and were very organized and with clear goals. By the time my class entered senior year, far less people attended clubs and many lost their purpose.

Back when the internet was first becoming a thing in the late 90s, the maxim was never tell anyone anything about anything. People were a lot more guarded and wary, partly because the technology was new and people didn't have a handle on what it could do yet and were scared of 'hackers' and social engineering etc. but also because - up until that point - offering up lots of in-depth information about yourself was regarded as fucking weird and unnecessary. Jump forward to now and people are absolutely fucking desperate to volunteer the minutiae of their lives because they've been led to believe they can't live happily without doing it.

The difference is that my buddies and I who aren't on social media go to the pub to catch up; the group at the next table who are ten years younger spend the whole time talking less and looking at their phones.

Technology has also affected the younger generation's ability to socialise face-to-face ; you stay in, you talk less, you don't interact with people as much and you can tell. I scoff at all the hilarious alpha/beta bullshit on here because it didn't exist back then and even the nerds from my high school eventually got laid because they had a modicum of social cache developed over time and with practice; they didn't have to try and reduce social interactions to Fallout conversation choices because that was the only medium they understood. People knew how to talk to people because they had practice talking to people.

If you're around the age of 25 and you can hold eye contact with someone and have an extended conversation, you're doing better than 90% of your peers.

I'm 18 y/o. I was born in 1998. I was playing with LEGO bricks during the morning of September 11, 2001. My father had turned on the television to put on cartoons, but the news came on instead. I reenacted what I saw with my LEGOs. I built a tower, and flew a plane through it. All with LEGO bricks.

Wouldn't be surprised, I graduated highschool last year, there was a fair share of tumblrites around, but some of the kids seemed pretty based and fed up with SJW bullshit, or at the very least joked about how SJWs are fuckin stupid. Found more trump supporters than I'd expect in a canadian highschool.

Honestly, I dunno if this is a fair definition. I wasn't exposed to the internet until I was 14, and I didn't have a cell phone until I was 16. Facebook hadn't even been formed by then, and iphones were still just fancy cell phones instead of the mini computers that we have today.

Any kid who grows up with a modern iPhone or iPad in their hand is going to grow up to be a degenerate, and kids are being exposed to it earlier and earlier. I've seen kids as young as 2 with an iPad that's just for them. That means that as soon as any kid is smart enough to understand how the internet works, and develop social skills, they'll be on Kikebook, Snapcunt, and Instanigger, but without the self awareness to understand how mind numbing all that shit is.
