This is a big problem. We're fucked. If this is acceptable, we are fucked.
>Savage was abruptly pulled off the air on Monday afternoon after launching into a segment on Hillary Clinton’s delicate health…
>Savage, host of the nationally syndicated The Savage Nation radio program, was discussing Hillary’s health and suggested she may have Parkinson’s disease when he was alerted that his show had been pulled from the air on New York’s WABC radio.
>…Not long after discovering he was pulled from WABC, as Savage was telling his audience what happened in New York, his live feed was suddenly cut off to many of his other affiliates and a replay of an earlier episode was substituted for the live feed.
Welcome to the era of new media. This will be the legacy of Obama and Clinton. 2016, the year we gave up what we don't know to appreciate.
Please win, Trump. Repeal the right to a free press. Fucking hell I prefer silent airwaves to information at this point.

How is he now days? Its been years since I've listened.

Do you ever notice that no-one mentions Orwell's 1984 any more? I think it's because we're living in it.

I agree. In 1984, there's an organization devoted to spinning the truth about things that happened so the past could be controlled. He could have called it CNN.

The people that do this have to just be really dumb, like all the canadian posters. We just need to band together and secede and they can get raped by brown people like they want to so much for some reason.

its the fucking political system thats corrupting the press, not the other way around. We dont need to fucking destroy free speech to get rid of them. Just fumigate the parasites out of washington. People are already flocking to our media. Its just a waiting game before their house of cards falls apart. The only concern is if they can hold out until the election

What outrages me is that anybody thinks I ought to be outraged about this. It's like telling me that the local station won't be showing today's rerun of Green Acres. Who gives a shit? The show is fluff, it means nothing, it's never had anything interesting to say, ever. Fuck Michael Savage, he's just an infinitesimal little cocksucking cuck anyway.
Christian Turner

Nathaniel Reed
He looks like Robert De Niro with Zika.
Joshua Hall
Not him but sounds like you didn't retain or actually read it, I'll help you out user.
The reason they burn books is because ALL of their media is digital, and books last way longer and cannot be edited.
When the protag tries to look up Benjamin Franklin, for example, he ends up reading that good ol Ben was "the first fireman" "who valiantly burned many books" and other bullshit they modified. The books are a relic, a gateway OUT of the media that is controlled, and if you pay attention you realize even his television, his wifes meds, the cars, the schools, even the fucking sprinklers in the lawn, are all completely under the cool control of "someone" (gov).
The "book burning" themes of 451 are a side effect of a society that goes beyond even 1984. In 1984 people "remember" that things were different, they are "aware" to hide their emotions and behave in front of the cameras. 451 takes place in an age beyond that, these things have /already/ been forgotten. The time to "behave" has passed, and instead everyone is naturally doing and behaving the way they are told to. The issue is the books- the books teach them it can be or was a different way, the books give them ideas, the books tell them the TRUE history.

I think a fair law would be to make it illegal for any political figure to own, donate to, or even be related to a media company.

Hey nice to see some people are also on this page.
"Those responsible for this should be shot down in the street," said the leftist Marxist on the message board to his professor. "We have to kill them, for being oppressors!"
The FBI ignored their calls for violence. Looking to the next post he saw:
"These people are a threat to liberty! The gall of these kikes! They must be shot down in the streets!" He alerted his manager and they begin the hunt for the perp!
This is acceptable
