There's always a risk in buying a used car, in my opinion it's worth it. My goal is to spend 10 cents a mile up front on a car that I'll be using for basic needs. If I honestly believe I can get another 150,000 on a car for with limited maintenance for 15 grand I'll take it. If my initial sense is wrong somewhere down the line and I come to regret the purchase, I'm not taking such a kick in the pants like I would with a brand new car when I sell it.

I was able to get a 4 year old car with that with under 50k miles. They have money; were making around 120 - 130 combined. Some driving instructors at driving school are pretty crazy here. I didn't had a single hour of driving, they tested me for few minutes on enclosed road, then i already had to go on public road. Driving instructor has a separate gas and brakes just in case, but you know when you don't know you going to hear the torture of the car.
