Cred Forums put down your race war swords and sit down.

I need some honest advice.
Have any of you ever worked in Asia?

I have been offered high paying jobs in both Malaysia & China.

What country will benefit me & my family in the long run?

Can somebody give me a clear outlook on both Economies and their benefits?

I am in the legal industry.

Ian Taylor

I'm a solicitor.

I applied for these jobs and I have been offered them.

Failed to gain employment here, so I looked overseas.

and china/malaysia were the only two places in the world you could find a job?

No, but I'm talking employment right now and money in the bank.

A job in China will necessitate dealing with the Chinese. Proceed with extreme caution

Not many oppertunities there, I tried Singapore too.

But, like I said I'm awaiting application results.
And a job at the start of next month would be great, for ovb reasons of income.

so you'd get paid 40-60k in china but nobody in the continent of north america or europe has called you back?

Dealing with China means you will need friends before you get deals. If the company you're working for already has those friends you're in the clear. But you will be treated as a filthy foreigner by the Chinese for YEARS before you make any headway. Quality control? Funny joke.

I've heard this from several people who currently work in Shanghai.

In China you have no way of knowing if someone will screw you over unless you have a looooooong relationship with them and even then if you're a foreigner you are immediately below any other Chinese and will be dropped at the first sign of trouble. My brother buys steel from them for industries stateside and has no end to the horror stories of dealing with the Chinese. In fact he only got to where he was because he literally saved a guy's life while he was in China and that's how he got his foot in the door

I wouldn't bring my family to some shithole like China or Malaysia, but if I didn't have kids, I'd take the job.

It's not about the race of the chinks, it's about the quality of their country. That's no place to raise a child.

I think Malaysia might be the best option, then.
