Actually I don't mind. He is a good actor, looks tough and I generally like him. If it wasn't a forced narrative, an agenda behind it, and they kept it down with the race mixing shit, I could enjoy it.

Why don't you like Craig? I think he was a refreshing take on Bond. I like the super smooth and suave Bond persona as much as the next guy but it was nice to mix it up with someone a bit more, not sure what the best word would be, realistic/brutish I guess. Like realistically a man who goes around killing people all the time is probably a pretty gruff guy. I don't know.

I agree though they'll lace this one full of racial things that will make it awkward and cringey.

Just looked into it a bit. So far from what I'm seeing, no one's been confirmed yet, though it seems like the two top choices are Aiden Turner and Tom Hiddleston.

James Bond is supposed to be a tall, charming, suave, British romancer. Daniel Craig looks like a bouncer from Latvia. Plus the whole 'haha we don't do gadgets anymore because it's the current year' is just annoying.

James Bond isn't supposed to look tough. He's supposed to be a womanising spy. Bond isn't Bourne ffs.

The problem is if I wanted gruff killer spy man who saves the world but seems cranky about it I could watch literally any other action movie. If there was nothing else on it might've been an interesting spin but in comparison it's just more of the same.

I'm not even saying they're bad bond movies, they all have their moments. The tone is just weird. At least twice now I can think of he's had to steal a Bond Car because for some reason they keep setting him up with only a gun and a walkie talkie if he's lucky. It's like there's a conflict between the writers and the producers playing out on screen about what they want out of a bond movie.

I liked Craig as 007. Perhaps some people don't like him because he never went to space, never fought on a blimp that got stuck on the golden gate bridge, never did pic related, or perhaps because his films got a bit closer to reality than some of the more recent films.

A black James Bond isn't progressive enough. The new Bond should be called Jannette Bond who is a transsexual Muslim Inuit in a wheelchair.
