I have to agree with this user. Even among close company I'd advise against ever bringing it up. Back in 2007 during college I tried to introduce a buddy to Cred Forums and there was an epic CP thread on page one. This was back before CP was really cracked down on. On a second occasion, this time with more mature company at a party, an acquaintance and I somehow ended up talking about Cred Forums in general. Then suddenly about 15 seconds in we both suddenly looked at each other, turn around, and "ran from each other" to other people at the party to chat with. We both realized what was happening (making anonymity personal) and realized it was a fucking awful idea.

This place was conceived in anonymity. It still ALLEGEDLY is. At least that's the lie we tell ourselves. It's best to keep it that way.

I tried writing stand up once. This is a bit I thought was pretty good, or at least had potential.

I was working in Yosemite for awhile. We had an outdoor shower. Now I love outdoor showers. I love them because its easy to yell at folks while you're naked. I always wanted to walk out on somebody and yell at them, HEY, KNOCK IT OFF, even if they're just sitting there quietly, and then disappear into the mist. I'm fascinated by yelling naked - mainly because nobody hears the words you say. You could be running naked down the street naked, and witness a car crash. Since you're naked, you obviously... Probably? Hopefully don't have your phone. So you see someone walking down the street, so you try to flag him down. HEY, THERES A CAR CRASH! We need the paramedics you yell. All he registers is a named man yelling.

The second part I find fascinating is that no matter what you say, people always hear the worst thing they can conceive. Let's say you're walking down the street naked, and this kid is selling some awesome lemonade, so you buy a cup. You see somebody else, and they look real thirsty so you approach em and say, hey, there's this awesome lemonade stand selling the stuff for a quarter, you should check it out. Before you can finish your sentence, he's describing graphic auto accidents to emergency dispatchers.

I mean who gets up in the morning and see's this frog get posted online by some 19 year old college freshman who just learned what logical fallacies are on his twitter account and thinks oh my god these people, no this frog is out to get me.
