This is former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling talking about 2008:
>But his memories of that turbulent time which began back in 2008 loom large. ‘The most abiding memory is a phone call from Tom McKillop, the chairman of RBS, who phoned me on the morning of October 7, 2008. I was at a European finance ministers meeting in Luxembourg, looking out over a rain-swept industrial estate. I’d met the bosses of the banks the day before to talk about the bailout package, but we hadn’t told them everything because we hadn’t finalised it.
>‘I remember being summoned out of the meeting to talk to Tom McKillop and he said things were just terrible, that money was pouring out of the door.
>‘He said, “What are you going to do about it?” Which I thought was a quite remarkable thing to say – what are YOU going to do about it!
>‘I said to him, “We’re almost ready to go. How long can you last?” I thought he might say maybe a couple of days, and what really shook me was that he said, “Well maybe two or three hours and that’s it.”
>‘What was in my mind at that point is that if people thought the biggest bank in the world had failed, there would not be a bank in the western world that would be safe.
>‘The risk I have always seen is that people forget just how close we came to a complete collapse and the thing about a collapse of the banks is that it wouldn’t just have been the banks in ruins, it would have been complete economic and therefore social collapse. People without money can do nothing – you can’t buy your petrol, you can’t buy your food, anything.
>‘It was rather like a nuclear war, you know you think it will never happen. And then someone tells you that a missile’s been launched. It was very scary. That moment will stick with me for the rest of my days.’
So we're kinda looking down the barrel of that again.
Jack Jenkins

it all depends on how the german government and the ECB react. Will they follow the new EU rules for these kind of situations and push for a bail in? Will Frau Merkel and Herr Schauble refuse to save DB? Straight up bailout?
It depends. And the consequences of each situation can be radically diferent. Its hard to predict, but its likely will see a downside for financials stocks in general, and I'm guessing that Italian, Spanish and Portuguese banks will suffer badly too, first and foremost. Can already imagine my country bonds yields to skyrocket too. Same for Greece and Spain (even more so) In short, Eurozone crisis 2, deutschebank boogaloo

You're right Hans. She and the government will allow the private bank to "bail-in" which involves taking the money that normal people have deposited.
It is legal for them to do so because it is technically not your money if it is in a bank. The kikes at the EU forced this legislation in June I believe, all EU countries had to have bail-in legislation in place.

Some more relevant info about the sudden collapse:
"Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) is frequently in the news, and the news about it is just as frequently bad. On Monday, September 26th, its stock was down over 7% in New York trading (at a price being reported as a record low) after Angela Merkel said over the weekend that the German government wouldn't support state aid for the bank in relationship to a $14 billion U.S. fine involving the sale of defective mortgage products."
"While Deutsche Bank has said it will fight the U.S. Justice Departments levy, considering its record, it may not get far. Deutsche Bank has paid large fines before. In relation to accusations of LIBOR manipulation, it paid almost $1 billion in December 2013 and $2.5 billion in April 2015 (with 29 employees potentially facing criminal charges based on comments by the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority). In February 2014, Deutsche paid $1 billion for contributing to the collapse of the Kirsch Media Group. As for fines against Deutsche Bank that have been in the mere millions, they are too numerous to mention."
Not gonna happen. Obama will launch a third term. Be prepared for civil war. You dont get it. If db will crash it will trigger the whole world economy to collapse. Any currency will be irrelevant except isolated ones. Walfare will be over, foodstamps too niggers gonna chimpout en masse. Multiply it with 9/11 bill and nuclear threats between Russia and US, dozens of arab soldiers in Europe and you will see the whole picture. There is still nothing that indicates a major crash that everyone keeps calling for. The greatest financial bubble in modern times does not exist in the stock market, but in the bond market. We do have to be concerned that 2016 is the 7th year up. While this is not likely to form a major high, it is from a timing perspective warning that things can get choppy in 2017 making the majority believe this will be a crash and burn.
We need a year-end dow jones closing above 18880 to imply the next run to 23000 is possible near-term. For now, only a monthly closing back below 17330 will signal aq serious correction becomes possible back into the 15000-16500 zone.
Just ask yourself this question. When stocks decline, everyone runs to bonds. When interest rates are negative, do you really ask the government to hold your money and just give you back 95%? What happens when bonds are the bubble? Smart money moves to equities to park.
Levi Campbell

Does anyone else have a feeling that King Nigger will use this to get a third term?
If a credit squeeze results from the collapse of a major bank like DB, it would put make it difficult on new home buyers to take out mortgages because banks would be reluctant to lend money to mortgage makers (other banks). To the extent that that results in a squeeze on demand (the ability of new home buyers to take out mortgages), then that would put downward pressure on home sales, possibly leading to fewer closings, leading to lower sales prices. The back end of a credit squeeze would also make it difficult for mortgage makers to flip the mortgages. You saw this happen during the 2007-2008 crisis.
Logan Jackson
A friend of mine, who gets paid to know these things, claims that the Germans (along with the entire Eurozone) begged May to avoid invoking Article 50 because it would impact DB enough to push it over the edge. They have a full bailout planned to coincide with the German elections, and after that Article 50 will be put into action.
Subsequently, the Greeks have threatened to leave if DB is bailed and others aren't far behind.
