Gold myth?

Is gold investment really as safe as they say? My dad's thinking of putting most of his savings in it (about 100k) should I do the same?

Only if it's physical. Don't fall for the gold backed securities Jew

Listen to Satan. He knows the Jew very well.

yea hes thinking bars. the madman is already looking at safes.

this

At the moment whilst Deutsche bank is crashing it is, in about 2 years time it probably won't be. Don't just buy gold and expect to make 10% return every year, you've got to buy it when people start screaming about collapses and sell it when everyone is happy.

Or.. invest in gold miners.

No m8.

Listen to Moloch Buy water + food + guns. Risk management means not putting all eggs in one basket. Spread them out. Gold, silver, oil, real estate?

Thank you Satan.

Don't ever invest 100 percent of savings into one thing. That's stupid. Buy some gold eagles and keep them under your mattress.

do not listen to those investment faggots
spent all you can on yourself right fuckin now

Safer than our current dollar, petroleum isn't even under our control anymore.

Diversify you dumbass

Buy actual gold and hide it deep in your house.

Don't. Do it in silver. Gold prices are usually all over the place so silver is a lot safer.

>putting all your savings into one thing
>it's gold

No. Have a bt but no more than 10%

silver is for stupid poor cunts who read doomer sites.

Gold is not a very good store of value because it is also a commodity (used in electronics, chemical industry, etc). Therefore its value is not guaranteed over a long period of time. Better to invest in guns and ammunition

If you get it as real gold and not some stupid numbers in an electric account.

Any good bank does sell gold coins or even bars. It is good.

>not diversifying your investments

Gold bubble

hillary wants to have 50% solar energy in america

we can either use the most efficient solar panels, or the ones that use the least amount of silver

it doesn't matter, we can calculate that hillary clintons plan will take MORE than all the earths silver!

ammo is made of stuff that oxidises and otherwise degrades

guess what element never degrades or oxidizes, and can only be dissolved, and never destroyed?

This

People need to be talking about the power outages in Ausfailya. The entire state without power is mostly wind and solar powered. Shits a flop. America will be in a permanent brown out if this bitch tries to do this. You can bet it will be costly for any small business to "upgrade".

This topic needs its own thread.

Don't invest in oil unless you can see WW3 happening soon.

WW3 will need lots and lots of oil!

For big wars also invest in precious war time materials like Tungsten, Chromium and such

Thats the reason for the thread, i wasn't sure if gold was different in that regard.

Tungsten will be important in a post-apoc scenario to be used as fake gold.

7.62x54r

Or do what the Rothschilds did and buy uniform making material and make a fortune.

Ask yourself this:

If owning a lot of gold was a good idea, then why would all these companies be trying to sell it to you?

If you're investing in gold for the sake of economic survival in the event of a politico-economical collapse then yeah, I guess it would make sense

On the other hand, if you're investing for the sake of power and fortune in the event of a SOCIETAL collapse, then your shiny coins wont do fuck all to save you when you need self-defense, food, shelter, etc. Bob down the street won't want to trade his onions for your heavy, useless bricks, he wants a 240b to fend off the raiders from 5th street

Its a dumb investment. Literally no return over the long run. You can speculate for short term gains but thats entirely luck. Don't think you are 'smarter' than the combined expertise of the millions of others also speculating.
The only way it makes sense is to make sure you physically own it and you think there is a economic catastrophe on the horizon.

Lego would be a much safer and better investment m8 gold doesn't really return as much as you think but lego continues to grow and in the long run is worth more
